I love Richmond Home Supply. Everything you'd want from a hardware store and more. The staff knows the location of every single item in the store. You can buy a single bolt if you want to. They'll load up your car if you need help. They'll help you order a big load of wood for your raised bed. Before heading out to Home Depot or Lowe's, try Richmond Home Supply first.

What happens when you leave the box stores? Sanity. If you’re a builder or Contractor or somebody who does a lot of this type of work, come here. No more waiting for somebody with a forklift certification, there’s knowledgeable staff, it’s dog friendly in the office, and these people will get you what you need when you need it at equal or lower prices than the box stores, without dealing with the smartest idiot of the day. Ask for Steve! You’ll thank me later.

As a professional builder, it's sometimes very time consuming to track down the wide array of materials and hardware we use. Richmond home supply almost always has what I'm looking for, and their lumber selection is enormous.Their staff is also well-trained and helpful, and can always point me in the right direction.Somehow they manage to pack in the equivalent of Home Depot's inventory into 1/4 of the space. I don't know how they do it! All I know is I'm so grateful I live close by.

A good local place to pick up typical home supplies. It is hit or miss if they carry the other items that I travel there for, such as small bolts.

We used Richmond Home Supply to purchase the hardwood for our new house. Steve Stowell was fantastic to work with and very knowledgeable. He listened to us and brought us tons on samples. Ultimately we picked the most gorgeous floors for our house and we couldn’t be happier. Our builder also relies on RHS for quality products and service. We are happy to have this great store and hardworking staff right in our backyard.

LOVE this local hardware store and highly prefer it over the "big box" stores for many reasons. When I walk in, i'm immediately greeted and asked if I need help finding anything. The staff is so friendly, patient and if you've ever had the experience of going to a place like Home Depot or Lowe's, you know that it's nearly impossible to find ANYONE to help and if you do, it's usually someone who's not familiar with "that" particular department. I've come in Richmond Home Supply with NO idea about what something is called and have had to describe it (in very layman terms) and without a beat, the staff is showing me what I'm looking for! It's amazing that I have yet to go in there and not find exactly what I'm looking for and best of all--my money is staying in the community and not going out-of-state! A++++++

I use RHS for my building supplies not only because I live in Richmond but because of the personal service I get. I have done 2 good sized projects in the past year and they are priced competitive with big box. All the staff is friendly and professional.

Good selection, kind of unfriendly staff. Unless you're a local, it feels like you're a stranger who just walked into the wrong bar in an old West movie when you walk in this place. Quiet. Awkward.

It's actually a great lumber yard and hardware store, but it closes early enough on weekdays and weekends that gets a lot harder for me to get there while they're open than it is for other stores in the area : /
