The cashiers are extremely friendly and courteous. I see them get talked to rudely by customers all the time, and they have the patience of the saint. The food selection is smaller then other grocery stores, but they still have everything you need and then some!

Conveniently located in Poultney, albeit somewhat hidden off of Main Street, this Grocery is usually well stocked, and the staff are both helpful and friendly.

Some of the staff is nice but most of the Cashiers are rude or oblivious. They’ll watch you lift heavy items over the card reader instead of running the belt so the items are down at the end. Other times they won’t stop chatting with each other to acknowledge you.Selection is pretty poor, the isles are crowded so you can barely get a cart through and often the frozen items have clearly thawed and been refrozen.It’s the only gig in town so they don’t really need to up their game but I bet they lose a lot of business to folks who work in Rutland or Fairhaven and can get their groceries elsewhere.

I'm a local.. They changed all the isles.. I walk around bewildered because I don't know where anything is! And for Christ sake! I don't want to buy 6 things so I can get it for $1.88 each.. That's an annoying sale. However.. The Shnozzberries taste like Shnozzberries!

Bald guy with minion glasses blocking the dairy case as usual. Had to backtrack to get around him and his stock wagon in order to reach the cheese on sale this week. Bought cider from cold hollow, it tasted like mold.

The only grocery store around for a few miles, so you are forced to go here if you don't have transportation (and time). The meat and produce always go bad within a couple of days. The deli usually takes a while to drag themselves over to help. One girl in particular will see you, take her sweet time to meander over and tell someone else to help you and then go back to chatting with other employees (even though she belongs in that department). I have often bought dairy products there and later realize that they're expired. Non-Perishables are often expired too, which isn't as big of a deal but still is annoying. They have an incredibly limited selection for most categories of items and often will carry random items (such as dragon fruit or sugar cane) but not carry common items (such as herbs). Also, be careful with frozen items such as ice cream, their freezers are down regularly and they will still sell items that have thawed and then refrozen ... Obviously for certain items like ice cream, that process greatly diminishes the quality. If you like veggies that get rotten in 2 days and meat that will turn green tomorrow, this is the place for you!

Shaw's is a NOOICE! Place to get your local groceries, I got some organic blue corn tortilla chips. they also have very NOOICE! Plastic bags, they do the trick just fine!

I couldn’t find an item I needed; and asked one of the managers (Mick) for help. He immediately knew and told me exactly where I could find it. Excellent customer service at this location!😊

It's a chain grocery store, so it's pretty much what you would expect. I'm sometimes surprised at what they don't carry, though. Anyway, I'm glad to have a grocery store in town.

Only shop here when it's the last option. Prices are usually higher than at other stores. Employees are friendly and helpful though.

The fact that the aisles and lanes are narrow makes it hard or impossible for disabled people's to do anything. And because of this maneuvering the aisles with a shopping cart is also difficult.
