Williams True Value is the epitome of a small-town hardware store. They carry more than just nuts & bolts. You can find pet supplies, canning supplies, gardening items, housewares...you want it, they probably have it. Mr. Williams, or, Bob, as known by the locals, is also very committed to the community! Whenever there's a emergency, he stays open to help! The prices are affordable and there's always someone to assist customers.

I had to do a bunch of little electrical tasks. I was expecting I'd need to drive to Rutland, but Williams had pretty much everything I needed - ballasts, GFCI, LED T8s, wire nuts, outlet tester - so in the end I didn't go to Rutland at all. It's great to be able to just walk to the hardware store for everything. Williams is a gem for Poultney. I was even able to drop off old T12 tubes for safe disposal. The store is well organized and the staff are knowledgeable. I'll be back for sure.

I met Bob Williams briefly last evening while my family and I were visiting Wells, VT. Bob was extremely friendly and kind hearted.

Excellent variety and availability for a small town store. I'm always surprised, call them up looking for a random whatsit, yes they have it, no it's not over priced, yes it's good quality, almost every time. The staff are great and always take the time to make sure you get what you're after.

I wanted an Adirondack chair today, but wanted to make sure it fit in my car first. Eli came right out and helped me so I bought the matching table. With customer service like that, I went in and bought a watering can and a toaster. That's what it is all about. Extra sales for extra effort. And on a Sunday.

I've been doing business with the facility for over forty years and surprisingly I've found items of very good quality to be priced lower than at some national chain the proprietor is an affable individual and friendlier and helpful that any other store I've been in. It's always a pleasure to walk into the store where you really feel your business is appreciated. This is a five star establishment if ever there was one.

Whether I visit Willliams' Hardware Store to buy something I need, or just to say hello to the friendly workers there, I get the same experience. Bob's store has a wonderful atmosphere and his staff are quick and responsive. New to the area, Williams Hardware is a local gold mine - knowledgeability, customer service, and referrals to local tradespeople - you can't find this anymore from where I'm from (NYC). Thank you to Bob and all of his well-trained, friendly employees for all of your assistance over the past dozen plus visits since I moved into the area a few weeks ago!!!PS Don't miss the complimentary popcorn on Saturdays, caramel corn on the 1st Saturday of each month.
