This place has a wonderful, rich selection worth exploring. I found some real gems in the psychology section, as well as some really great books in several categories. It's well organized, the prices are very fair, and the cat is a friendly, purring ball of love.

I love stopping here every time I'm up this way in Poultney/Middletown Springs. Patty is very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about books and authors. Every book title I brought up she knew of. Vast selection is all divided up by topics, including many 1st/1st editions as well as signed and inscribed volumes. As usual, I purchased a half dozen books about the American Revolution. A must stop!

I visited this store yesterday and was impressed with the owner, her doggies and the inventory. However, I think fir used books, they are priced too high. I looked at one book I was interested in. It had some discoloration and was 11 years old. The cost was $7.50, which I think is way too high for a used book. If the prices were lower, I would have bought more books and spent more money. Other than the cost of the used books, the rest if the experience was great.

Great selection. Can browse quietly. Many coffee table books. Many books in the Vermont section, children's and young adults, science fiction and mystery sections. Local authors and many other sections to browse. You'll need a few hours. Have fun.

Hermit Hill has an awesome selection of books new and old. I typically spend close to an hour browsing the stacks, which are well organized by category, before making my selections for purchase. Highly recommended for the avid book lover!

Cute bookstore in a cute town. They had a great selection of used books, both fiction and non-fiction. Prices were reasonable and the cat and dog were good company.
