We got to the inn a little late, so we had to go to tavern to check in.. good thing because I probably wouldn’t have checked it out otherwise. Buffy helped us check in and then when we came back and she made us some great drinks. She was so helpful and we very much enjoyed our time at the tavern. We talked about our time at clear river inn the rest of the trip. I hope to make it back to your wonderful place sometime again.

We stopped by for dinner and drinks while staying at an Airbnb in the area. The patio had amazing views and the burger and fries were great. They had live music and you can tell the locals were having a great time indoors at the bar. Highly recommend!

Wow, where do I start? My now husband and I just had our wedding at Clear River Tavern and what an amazing experience! From the start every single person was friendly, helpful and kind. They all went above and beyond to make our day perfect. The food, the property all of it was exactly how we had wanted it! A huge thank you to Mark the owner, Chef Chris and Kyle our bartender! A very special thank you to Caitlin, without you the day wouldn't have been so magical! I can't express how much it meant to have you help us through everything! What an amazing place!Rooms: Very clean, comfortable and convenient!

We loved staying at the Inn and getting food at the tavern. The Inn was so clean and cozy. Loved the breakfast nook and phone booth 🙂 I also appreciated how helpful they were at answering questions and being available while making plans to stay here. Made scheduling our trip here very easy. Highly recommend staying. Make sure to eat at the Tavern while you’re here. The food was delicious! I highly recommend the Buddha bowl. It was fresh and tasted amazing! The atmosphere was so comfortable and the staff was so friendly. Great place to hang out and eat!

I was working off grid in Pittsfield for five days. When I needed a place to go and shower and get service and a bite to eat I called. No answer, when I showed up the place was full of drunken locals. Waited at the bar for 30 minutes or someone to check me into a room. As soon as I got into my room, I went downstairs to grab a bite to eat at the tavern and I waited there for about 30 minutes as well trying to get someone’s attention. Everyone would ignore me even when I went right up to the bartender. Then all of a sudden they started cleaning everything up and said they had to get ready for a wedding event, I asked if there was anything I could grab and they just ignored me so I left as this is in the middle of nowhere there is not many places to eat if you have been traveling for a long period of time or have been working very hard in the area and need a place to grab a bite to eat and stay which is what is advertised. This is not the place. .Food & drinks: Do not count on it they serve locals and big events only

We had an incredible time this past weekend at the Inn! Fiona, Andrew, and Kyle all made our experience very pleasant and memorable. We enjoyed hanging in the lovely outdoor area around a fire under the stars while we live-streamed a concert. Our accommodations in Suite zone were so comfy and convenient. Thank you for everything! We look forward to returning.

Best restaurant in the Killington area in my opinion. Pub food done right. Food is always cooked perfectly. Presentation is good. Service is quick. Daily specials keep things fresh. Burgers are *chef's kiss* awesome.

My wife and I are in our 50s we are semi retired and decided to come to Vermont for a few months to see the LEAVES CHANGE. WE FOUND THE CLEAR RIVER IN AND STOPPED IN TO CHECK IT OUT WE HAD A FEW DRINKS THEY WERE WEEK, THE BARTENDER WAS A SHORT POORER, BUT WE ENJOYED OURSELVES SO WE DECIDED TO COME BACK THAT NIGHT FOR PRIME RIB, BOTH OUR MEALS WERE COLD, AND SUB PAR FOOD, BUT A DESCENT ATMOSPHERE, WHEN WE CAME BACK A THIRD TIME FOR COCKTAILS AGAIN, IT DIDN'T TURN OUT TO BE A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE AT ALL, THE BARTENDER BUFFY NEEDS SOME SERIOUS TRAINING IN HOW TO TREAT THE PUBLIC (TO SAY THE LEAST)!!!!!! SHE WAS SO RUDE TO MY WIFE AND I, IWAS IN DISBELIEF, IT WAS OVER A COCKTAIL MISTAKE THAT SHE MADE!! WHEN I SAID TO HER BEFORE WE CASHED OUT, QUOTE: WHAT YOU DID WAS VERY RUDE AND UNCALLED FOR BUFFY, AND HER RESPONSE WAS YOU TWO CAN GET OUT NOW! I MEAN REALLY, ???WHAT SCHOOL OF ETIQUETTE DID SHE DROP OUT OF! 😳 🤔 ANYWAY WE WERE NEW CUSTOMERS TO THE AREA AND WOULD HAVE SPENT LOTS OF MONEY IN THERE FOR 3 MONTHS THAT WE WOULD BE HERE IN VERMONT, BUT BECAUSE OF HER WE WILL NOT BE GOING BACK EVER, AND WE WILL TELL OUR STORY WHEN AND IF ANYONE ASKS US ABOUT OUR NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE!! THANKYOU BUFFY FOR THE RUDE TREATMENT TO A POTENTIAL NEW CUSTOMER/TOURIST!! We will NEVER SPEND ANOTHER DOLLAR AT THE CLEAR RIVER TAVERN!!

Was in the area for work, not much around for food choices. Ended up trying this place out, and we came back every night for the rest of the trip!!! The owner is the man, and the atmosphere is awesome. Nice small town feel where everyone is your friend. Food is insane and his specials are awesome!!! If I could give ten stars I would!

It's refreshing to experience such a quality tavern experience. This is a place for the entire family any night of the week, but also a great place to go have a beer and listen to music. Service is outstanding - atmosphere: inviting and warm.No cutting corners here, the food is of highest, home-made quality. I recommend the wings.

Outstanding all around! Just lucked into this place after a 3 or 4 hour drive coming to Killington! Wheeled in , got sat and a craft beer quickly! The food was awesome , the blackened salmon killer , the homemade maple vinaigrette was crazy good! But the star of the show was Fiona , she was attentive, helpful , quick w a beer lol just a superstar waitress! I sat inside cause I was watching golf , but the patio and outdoor area was sweet! Kudos to the whole staff

We visited the tavern around 4pm on a Monday during our vacation to VT. We sat outside on the patio so our kids could play while we ordered etc. I had the strip steak with blue cheese, my husband had the Pam's jam burger, my kids had a small pepperoni pizza and Mac and cheese. All the food was really good. My husband only said he wished the jam was more bacony on his burger. The service was fabulous!

Great service and obviously well loved in the community, was a full house when I came and the service was great. Good variety of vegetarian options and lots of local brews. Just be ready to put down a reservation.

This is the NEW Clear. The new owners have done an amazing job of rehabbing and renovating. The rooms are clean and modern. The food at the tavern is spot on. Great pub fare and steaks are perfect after a day of skiing or snowmobiling.

The clear river inn was so quaint and cozy. The downstairs rooms were newly renovated and under new management, so they really fixed up the place. The woman who runs the place was so sweet and kind and loves to help in any way she can. We will definitely stay here again!

Food was good but service was not. Host interrupted waitress to have a casual conversation for 5 min in front of the table. Half the food came out 15 min (at least) after the rest of the food. Waitress never checked back in until we eventually flagged her down for check.
