I’ve stayed here twice and both times, I’ve been moved to write/rate because the service is just that good.This time, in the face of an epic (2 foot) snowstorm, Manager Fiona was so concerned her guests would not have dinner options, so she provided a free, fun BBQ for all staying there. Instead of a cold and lonely night, we got to meet the other guests and enjoy dinner together. Above and beyond.Nearby activities: Killington is 15 away

The Clear River is a fantastic stay if you’re bring your dog with you! They are beyond pet-friendly. Complimentary dog beds, bowls and treats are just the basics. The best part was how pet loving the staff are! Fiona was wonderful as she let our dog out during the day while skiing at Killington. She took her on walks and spent time playing with her! There is plenty of room out back along snowmobile trails to take your dog for a walk.The rooms are warm and clean and continental breakfast is great and opens early! All around great place to stay!

Highly recommend if you’re looking for a reasonably priced place close to Killington Mountain. The staff was fantastic. We enjoyed the breakfast nook & many restaurants close by. The toasted pecan was a great option because we could walk right back to the room after a few drinks and food. The rooms were spotless and the owner messaged us back to help with any problems. We will definitely be back in the future! Look no further. Thanks for a great weekend stay.Nearby activities: Killington mountain is only a 14 minute drive. 1 minute walk to the toasted pecan.. hidden gem with a bar and food. Casey’s caboose was a great food spot 10 mins away. We also tried back country for breakfast. All great options under 15 mins away.

Fiona at the desk could not have been more accomodating and in touch. The room was super clean. The bathroom was also very clean but a bit tight. Continental breakfast got the job done. Nice location off the beaten path!!UPDATED 2/26/24...I enjoyed my first stay so much that I came back this weekend! Once again, Fiona was super accomodating and friendly. This time I stayed w my daughter in Suite 1. Absolutely perfect for us, and a notch above what I was anticipating! (and I anticipated a nice accomodation) Clean, roomy, all the amenities - it would be great for a family!

Took a trip to Killington to enjoy some March skiing. By the time we started looking for rooms, everything was booked. We took a chance and booked a room at the Clear River Inn, and am very glad we found this place. Rates are very reasonable, and the rooms are comfortable and clean. There is a tavern attached to the Inn, but we did not get a chance to check it out.There is a small complimentary "breakfast nook" on the first floor, and there is an array of breakfast items along with a coffee maker and microwave. There is also a converted phone booth located on the first floor that contains extra towels, soap, keurig coffee cups, etc.The Inn is located about 10 miles north of the Killington Access Road, so if you enjoy Killington's nightlife, you need to take that into account. Otherwise, the Inn is great for skiers.We will definitely be back.

What a great place to stay. The rooms were extremely clean and cute. They have a little breakfast nook with lots of options in the morning. The beds were comfortable, not too hard and not too soft. Warm and cozy blankets with fresh linens. I appreciated that they were so pet friendly. I was able to book online for the pet friendly room which was super convenient and my pup absolutely loved the dog bed they set up for her. Wonderful and polite staff. The shower was immaculate and the water pressure was awesome. It is in a great location that is close enough to putter around Woodstock without paying for the Woodstock hotel prices. I would recommend this place to anyone. It is safe, clean, and peaceful.Rooms: Clean and check in is super easy.Safety: Very peaceful and safe area.Food & drinks: There is a bar right next to the place with food!

Cozy, quiet and very clean room, plus the "Breakfast Nook" has everything you need for a great start to your morning before you head towards the mountains. Also grab a morning snack from "Breakfast Nook", right next to the office. Yummy and delicious muffins!

We stayed with our doggo last weekend, and had a great experience! Rooms were super clean, beds were comfy (they even had a dog bed for our sweet girl), staff was friendly and helpful. We decided we wanted to stay longer at the last minute and they were able to accommodate us-we were so grateful! ❤️Also, there is a restaurant on site with excellent food and drinks. (We understand it is changing, and the new concept sounds just as good! We’ll be back to try it, for sure!)We loved the location too-far enough away from Killington to avoid the crowds and feel cozy & secluded…and close enough to get to the mountain and events easily (less than 15 mins).We’ll definitely come back! Thank you so much! ❤️

Can't say enough about this place it RULES!!! From the very first call until the very last tx To Fiona who Runs Reservations She is Super Helpful on any questions or requests with results!!! This place is Amazing! Super Clean, Quiet, and very Comfortable, Plus you get a small restaurant onsite to grab some grub!!!! All I can say is don't think twice JUST BOOK IT!!!!!!!!!This is the Best Hotel I have stayed in near Killington hands down.

Great experience! The best was bringing our dog and having him there after a day on the slopes. The room was clean and attractive, and the service was above and beyond. These people are very very nice!Rooms: Quiet and clean. With a telephone booth outside to help you restock supplies. Plus they provide a dog bed!Food & drinks: The restaurant was warm and lively— we stumbled upon a rousing Karaoke night.

So I didn't have the opportunity to actually stay here. I wandered in on a rainy Friday night with no reservation and unfortunately they were full. I should have planned my trip better and I was a little lost and getting tired of driving. Ms Fiona in the office really did her best to hook me up, she called other hotels (competitors!) and gave me advice about the area. She was so kind and gave me almost 20 minutes of her time. Time is a precious commodity these days and I was so grateful! I can't wait to book a reservation here in the future, this is a super cool spot and they even have a restaurant attached.. The Clear River Inn was a godsend for us after a nightmare situation at The Cascades Lodge in nearby Killington. From the outside, this hotel looks like a quaint and rustic roadside motel. Once inside, I was thrilled and extremely impressed with the cleanliness, modern design and creative touches. Whoever designed this place truly put some effort and care into the rooms.There was a huge bench with hanging/closet space right in the entry way which was perfect for bags, coats and bulky ski gear. The room also had a built-in desk with chair (perfect for one remote zoom call we had to hop on), and a mini fridge and microwave. I can’t stress enough how clean everything was.There is a cute vintage phone booth downstairs by the office that has extra amenities like toiletries and hair dryers. I liked that the door code information was in my inbox before arrival, so we could check in at any time. We didn’t get to try the tavern out back, so we will have to come back again!

This place is a total gem! I just booked it because it was in the right area, it was available and it was the right price. We were just passing through and needed a place to stay. I would come back here again in a heartbeat! I received an email a little bit before check in that the room code to open our door where the last four digits of my phone number. This is a great idea! It made it so easy to check in! The room was clean the linens were very soft, there was a very cool custom lamp in our room, they were very thoughtful with a lot of nice little details around the room. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but the tavern was great and they have a very very nice outdoor area with a beautiful river and some nice amenities to enjoy a drink under the stars. The breakfast in the morning had some thoughtful details and selections. I think my favorite thing is the old phone booth that is full of any extra amenities that you might need!

The rooms are exceptionally clean.. We have vacation rentals and know what clean should be.. Don't be fooled by the exterior. Fiona, the guest receptionist is stellar. She provides all the info you need for a great stay.The Tavern adjoining the property is staffed with welcoming folks. It has inside dining as well as a beautiful outside area that provides the traveler and locals with a relaxing atmosphere. It includes a firepit, outside gazebo, outside dining, corn hole games,, horse shoe area and entertainment on Sundays. All along the beautiful river.A wonderful place to get away and unwind! Reasonable prices. This place has it all!!

Have not been here yet . I am going on 2-17 for 2 days skiing. I am so glad there are good reviews and I hope I can follow up on this review with glowing recommendation. I hope I get a good room and my friend and I can find a good eatting place.. see ya all soonJust to update, the hotel was very nice. Very basic but clean and comfortable. The owner was great and his restaurant and bar outback is also very nice I would definitely patron this motel again

The room was very clean and has definitely been updated within the last few years. They had WiFi, which was greatly appreciated since the reception up in the mountains was spotty. There was also a tv with cable channels. We had a room with a king bed and a small couch underneath the window. For it being so cold outside, the room was well insulated. The heating system (pipes?) made rattling sounds pretty consistently throughout our stay. The first night we were there, it was a few times every hour because it was so cold outside. We didn't get much sleep. Another thing that prevented us from sleeping well was that we were on the first floor and you could hear the floor creak loudly every time the people above us moved. I do acknowledge that these things are due to the structure of the building, and not so much the management. However, pillows were a bit hard/synthetic feeling for my taste. I did like how there was a complimentary breakfast at a nearby inn. Overall, we had a pretty good stay.

Excellent! This place is VT through and through. The costumer service was great. From my first phone call till check out everyone at the Inn was awesome. The food and atmosphere at the tavern was something out of a movie. We had 10 people in our group and everyone was very satisfied with their meals. As the night went on the bar tender and owner kept our party going and made the place feel very warm and welcoming. The rooms are plenty big and exactly what you'd expect from a Vermont Inn. Very very clean and tidy. Mark the owner is an awesome guy, very willing to help and personally made sure we enjoyed our stay. We will be back!
