Staff was welcoming and friendly, room in the old building was good and comfortableFood was overpriced and cold. My significant other and I ordered bugers at medium and med rare and got well done and med well, the chips on the side had absolutely no flavor

Beautiful old building but the beauty of the rooms stops there. I would not recommend staying in the historic inn. Bed had not changed since the Victorian period and was extremely uncomfortable. Bathroom fan ram the entire night and never turned off. The downstairs was very welcoming and the staff was very friendly though. It would have been nice if any of the fire places were lit. Very good good, but limited menu.

Gretchen, the lady at the front desk went above and beyond! The food at the Jasper restaurant was amazing overall 10/10 and I can not wait to come back here! Our bnb lost power during a winter storm and they where more than willing to accommodate us at the Norwich inn as we where stranded. Overall they where incredibly helpful! The rooms are adorable and quaint, the walls are nice and think and sound doesn't travel. This is a must stay if you are in the Norwich area!

I just had a beer from this inn’s attached brewery that’s in my top few favorite beers of the last few years. It’s called “There And Back Again,” and it is truly a masterful work of brewing. Savory, toasty, & the correct (read: subtle) amounts of sour, floral, bitter, and sweet to round it all out. Three cheers to the Norwich Inn brewing team.

It was excellent for many reasons! Josh is so accommodating and makes you feel like you’re at home. He couldn’t do enough to make our stay comfortable. He even treated our pets with respect and kindness. Our room was perfectly situated to access our car and walk the dog. And, the fireplace was a real treat in February! We were originally booked at the Hanover Inn, in a pet friendly room, but when we got there they wouldn’t allow us to stay with a caged bunny. They neglected to tell us that they had recently changed their policy, and directed us to the Norwich Inn. We make frequent trips to the Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital, and need a place to stay close-by. Needless to say, we will never go to the Hanover Inn. The Norwich Inn is truly a New England gem offering a clean, well-appointed room with good old fashioned hospitality!Thank you, Josh.

Always love coming here... And has been our favorite place to stay while visiting our daughter at Dartmouth. Big rooms with a fireplace, welcoming staff / owners, fun small brewery, Dan and Whit's next door, and the quaint small town of Norwich... It doesn't get much better!

Superb and accommodating staff. Fantastic place to stay with my elderly mother. I can’t wait to return to enjoy the outside pub seating. The local brews, and bartenders after some long days, were excellent and relaxing.

I would summarize the dining experience here as a deep disappointment. I was part of a wedding party and chose to have stake as my meal. Despite ordering a medium stake I was presented a tough, undercooked and cold stake. Unfortunately the sides didn't help since the green beans were practically raw and tested frozen and the loaded potato was a microwaved one at best. I felt really bad for the bride and groom since we all left the table still hungry and unsutisfied. Safe to say I will not be returning to this restaurant and I do not reccomend it.

The food is what you expect if you plan to cook using a microwave. The steak which was $31 on the menu was the worst possible piece you can be served. Probably bought them for cheap and they were likely previously frozen as well. I was in a group of about 10 and 8 of us got the steak. Several were rare, we all asked for medium or greater, the "baked" potatoes was clearly microwaved and the green beans were not cooked. If I wasn't in a group I would have confronted them and left without eating/paying. Do yourself a favor and find food elsewhere.

I stayed there last minute after twisting my ankle skiing. Josh called me when I was stuck in the emergency room to make sure I knew how to check in late and gave be a backup number if there was any issue. I really appreciated that. The room was cozy and had a fireplace. Was such a nice place to stay after a rough day!

An incredible step back in time to the 1700's, but with modern conveniences. Staff wonderfully helpful and pleasant, rooms had gas fireplace with antique furniture and comfortable beds. Bathroom perfect. All buildings immaculate,& located in a idyllic town; what a wonderful, surprise find. Perfect for families or couples. Don't overlook this one!!

We had a family reunion with 23 adults and children attending for a long weekend. The Staff at the Inn were absolutely fantastic! They arranged a reception for 35 on Saturday afternoon and a family sit down dinner on Sunday evening, both without any problems. Gracious and attentive. Our rooms were spacious and clean. Would recommend the Inn without hesitation.

The inn was cute, wasn't a big fan of the location: convenient but I was hoping for something a little more off the beaten path. The staff was friendly but the food was just ok, nothing to rave about. Another 👎: the shower only had 1 door when clearly there was supposed to be 2. I asked the front desk and they said that the 1 door was intentional...makes zero sense to me. I did love the fireplace and the timer was a convenient touch

Quaint Historical Inn in picturesque Norwich VT with Jasper Murdock's cozy brewery on site. Several beers are brewed on the property, like the popular Whistling Pig amber ale. Great place to stay for the weekend!

I love the Norwich Inn! It is quaint, and cozy. The rooms are the cleanest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in, and I travel quite a bit. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to my next trip to Vermont, this is where I will gladly stay again!

Great hotel in beautiful Norwich, VT just a few miles away from Dartmouth College across the river. There are rooms in a B&B style Inn as well as more traditional hotel rooms in a new addition. Great food (burgers/salads) and an on-site micro-brewery make this a perfect place to kick back - no need to worry about where to go for dinner. On top of all of that - the Inn is located just a few miles from local hiking trails and next door to the locally famous Dan & Whit's General Store.

For a small inn that is trying to appear classy, they should ensure their staff is friendly and classy as well. I went in to the bar section for drinks. I have the beer passport and was planning on having dinner and drinks and get a stamp on my passport. When we went in and sat down, I asked the bartender if he would do flights. His response, "if I have to." I sampled a beer and then ordered a glass of it as did my partner. The bartender only came back with one beer. He never spoke to us the entire time. I ended up just finishing my beer and we left to go somewhere else for dinner. I will never be back here.

We stopped in for brunch and a beer at the brewery. The place is adorable. The people are friendly. I was so happy with my breakfast sandwich. We then enjoyed a beer under the hops!

I love fantastic places that are off the beaten path and the Norwich Inn is one of them. They've got clean, comfortable rooms with fireplaces and a cozy pub with their own brewery. The brewmaster is super-friendly and will talk with you as long as you'd like about beer and brewing.

The beer was good, the food not so much. I started with a Caesar salad- $8- and it was a few leaves of lettuce cut into squares, with four croutons on the side. I ordered Paella and I received a mound of starchy white rice with chunks of seafood mixed in, and four overcooked mussels around the edge. That cost $24.We waited 30 minutes for our food to arrive, and I left after we'd waited another 30 for dessert. It was Wednesday night and the place was maybe two thirds full at the peak.I may go back for a beer but not food.

What a special inn. The main parlor has the most beautiful scent of fireplace. There are many small pretty 18th and 19th century details. Karen, who has worked at the inn for decades, took the time to explain the history--she was a highlight of the stay. Thank you for keeping this gem beautiful!
