I am so gratefu to have acountry stores like this nearby. This is the classic small town with big value and community store.I was lucky to have met the owner who was genuinely engaged in speaking to her customers like friends.The stock here is robust with a variety of favorites I usually buy in supermarkets, I'd rather purchase here. There is a rustic modern decor with warm lighting and local artistic items for sale like artist greeting cards, jewelry and puzzles. The staff is warm and smiling. I got a Acia smoothie that was delicious and pretty generous in size.I have to recommend this store for anyone who is more invested in holistic home cleaning, self care, and food. Most the store has holistic products. We need more access to that and support to locals that supply it.Happy this place is part of my world now.

An absolutely beautiful store! So warm and inviting. The food and the sevice are outstanding. They treat you like family here. The owners, Norma and Vincent Rooney, will go out of their way to make you feel like you are home. Love this gem of a store. A must visit and revisit.

I was looking to celebrate my Norwich University cadet’s 20th birthday and being 2.5 hours away I wasn’t able to make the trip like I did last year. I called Falls General store to see if they could bake his favorite dessert…cheesecake. Well they didn’t disappoint and actually went above and beyond to make this very special for him. Upon ordering, they told me they would be unable to get strawberries due to supply chain issues. Well, they sent me this photo and look at that! There are strawberries on it. I’m so impressed by this that I had to write a review. I always like to support local first and if not then I go elsewhere. I don’t believe I would have received such personal service going with a mail order dessert company. Thank you Falls General Store! My son loved his special cheesecake. #madewithlove

The beer and wine list is superior with the grocery in stock of essentials across the board. We were up from Boston in the beautiful fall foliage when we came upon this welcoming and beautiful general store. It has everything from groceries to craft beer and wine, locally made jams and jellies, and a full deli where we got tasty sandwiches made with their homemade bread. They have espresso, smoothies, their own delicious bakery items, cards, gifts, and everything else a local or a traveler could want. Please support this wonderful find in the heart of rural Vermont. And don’t forget to visit the three covered bridges around the corner from the store!

This is a wonderful little store. Very "Nostalgic". All the bells and whistles of the good old days especially in Vermont. It's got eat in service. Deli w/ specials. An incredible bakery. A Lot of VT Specialty Products. Really genuinely kind staff. Just a really nice place. Some might think it pricey but, I feel that the quality far outweighed the cost. Great Place. 👍👍😁

Stopped in for lunch - 1st visit. Got a roast beef sandwich - I think it was called the Northfielder - only ate half. I didn't really like the sandwich, it lacked flavor & the meat was not what I expected. Cute store with high prices.

I LOVE this store! My grandson and I were traveling from Northern Vermont back to Boston and stopped to get a bite to eat. We ordered pizza and it was some of the best pizza we have ever had! The bonus is that they have fresh baked goods that we bought for the rest of our journey home. What a find!!! I wish they had more tables to eat at...I would SOOOO bring ALL of my family next time.

Great store. Very nice selection of wines in a reasonable price range. Good place to stop if you want to take a walk to see the three covered bridges that span the creek. Yummy sandwiches with gluten-free options. Local Vermont products including cheese and honey.

Gourmet selected pantry items. The produce coming from near farms is great quality, especially the greens. The prepared food and the bakery items are delicious and the best. You can order a cake with three days in advance. Customer service is amazing. Not your cheap store but worth it.

Excellent food source, everything homemade including the ketchup. Great variety, fresh, clean, healthy. If I could give this a Michelin star I'd give it at least one.!Very high-end products to purchase as well including snacks, personal care, beers, Home Goods. A little gem!

An EXCELLENT place to drop by and have lunch! A cute store, along with great baked goods and top notch food for a little country store! This place was an unexpected find, and quite the little treasure! I used to go here as a child with my parents, but it has since been transformed into something amazing! I took my young kids and they loved looking at everything in the store while they waited for their pizza. Definately worth a stop!

What a special market it is here with Norma running it. They have anything on might need for all meals and catered events. Norma shared a tidbit with me- if you are a hummus lover and buy a few containers a time you can freeze one and take it out the day before consuming it and it’s just as fresh as when you bought it!!! I go to Norwich University right up the street and this is my favorite place to go. The food is always fresh and amazing as well as the staff being so friendly and accommodating! This is my number one recommendation for a good, nutritious meal in the area!

The panini I ordered was fairly bland, it took an ungodly amount of time for them to even take my order despite only having one customer in the store, and even longer to get my severely overpriced sandwich. The typical general store fair (drinks, chips, etc.) is extremely limited and clearly targets ONLY health nuts, vegans, and the like. They traded quality and flavor for CBD which is in almost everything they sell. Very, VERY unimpressive selection all around unless you are part of their niche market.

What a treasure of a deli - in an expected spot! My husband and I stopped in on our motorcycle ride and had a fabulous lunch. I had a turkey/bacon/apple butter panini, and my husband had a philly cheesesteak. Outstanding fresh baked bread, fresh ingredients, YUM!The desserts/pastries are OUT of this world. Great friendly staff, highly recommended!

Whether you want a perfect pizza, blissful pastry, pure organic in-house extracted juice; or if you're craving poutine (Montreal style gravy cheese fries), a fresh and generous burger, an elegant bottle of wine or gourmet crackers, or any of a number of other savories and gifts, Falls General Store is *the* place to go in Northfield. In addition to their amazing, reasonably priced, fresh food made as much as possible with local products, and in addition to daily specials, desserts, wholesome snacks, coffee and many usual and unusual beverages, they have the best owners and staff ever! Always welcoming, accommodating, and cheerful, this place is a lovin' oven of friendliness, warmth, and hospitality. Seating is limited but take out is not! Stop by if you are going through Northfield or live nearby. You won't regret it! My personal favorites: poutine (the French fries here rank among the best I've had anywhere), black bean quesadillas, and the desserts! Today I had a warmed up apple tart which had the most heavenly flawless crust. Yum!
