During the recent eclipse, I found an unexpected viewing spot in the Price Chopper parking lot in Newport, Vermont. Not only was the location perfect, but the staff inside were incredibly accommodating, offering great service with a smile and not batting an eye at my makeshift observatory setup outside. A shoutout to Price Chopper for enhancing the eclipse experience with their exceptional hospitality. Five stars!

Andrew and sarah are really helpful, the lines are not usually full. You need to have an advantage card to get some savings and deals. They have clean aisle and most of the part of the store. They just need more associates to help with customer assistance. And visibility

I just moved to the Newport VT area and I was surprised at how nice this Price chopper is! From the produce to the bakery and the meat department. Cashier was so nice they are under staffed like everywhere but they all had smiles on their faces. Well done!!! This is my new supermarket and I could not be happier!

My weekly place for groceries! Prices are decent, especially sale prices. Store always seems clean and well stocked, and best of all, well staffed. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Bakery, "food court," seafood and meat departments.

Well stocked. Always short on cashiers. Bakery is wonderful. Produce will not last that you buy from here, it will be rotten in a day or two from purchase.

Great pizza!!! Or Chicken !!! It is a great grocery store. Very clean and friendly staff. Very handicapped accessible. Bathrooms clean. The deli and food court is great for that last minute friends and family get together. I can't say enough about the place...It has and continue to serve our community well.

I got all the groceries I needed to make a hearty Vermont beef stew. Didn't take any photos before I put it in the freezer. Sorry about that! Ended up buying some excellent prime steak. Nothing like steak and eggs for breakfast.

A lot of departments were closed at 6:00. Deli person wouldn't look at us or speak to us. Kept her head down. Butcher shop closed. This store almost always is out of stock on sale items when early in the week

I went today and two check-out lanes were open, each having at least 3 customers. A third lane was immediately opened by Management. Every time I go there, I have noticed that a member of Management always seem readily available to assist and also to handle questions and concerns customers may have.

I am always pleased when I come in because of the deals, but twice now I have watched the young gentlemen who works in Produce drop something from a container and instead of picking it up and discarding it, he picks it up and puts it back on the self. GROSS!!! I know we need to wash our Produce but to watch an employee handle it without gloves then put it back to sell after it's been on the floor that's just disgusting!

They offer a price chopper card which gives you money off on gas @ certain gas station.Great store! I was impressed that the place had everything I needed, even a few somewhat strange things. I only didn't give it a 5 star because the prepared food section was rather poor. There was nothin but cold sandwiches that were made hours ago.

Lots of fresh variety in the fruit and dairy and deli isle. I was impressed by the obvious effort put forth by the employees that work there and take the time to do it right. I commend your efforts. And i thank you.

Cashiers are rude. Too busy talking to co-workers or friends to even acknowledge the guest/customer in front of them. And when mentioned to cashiers they get nasty in response. When mentioned to management, they do nothing. I've seen at least 4 people that shouldn't be working with the public but management keeps them working there. I absolutely abhor shopping in this store. And this is all representative of the store in Derby, VT. I've never gotten poor service at any of the other price chopper locations- I want to make that clear. If I'm not absolutely out of something and cannot wait, I'll go in there; but not going out of my way to go there.

I've been going here since I was little. Great shopping, nice, helpful employees. Plus a place you can sit down and eat. I can't even count how many times my family and I have stopped and sat at the dinning tables with our breakfast of donuts we got right from the bakery. Great place.

Wanted to have a roast ground up. Was told by the butcher we would only get half of our meat out the grinder. I have been having roast ground up since my mom was buying meat never heard that one. Guess someone didn't want to clean the grinder again. Back to the butcher shop where the meat quality and better cuts and cutters!

Never enough cashier's working and I had a stressful time waiting for the cashier and then to have a snotty stuck up female to cash me out. You know what if you don't like your job then quit and don't take your problems out on the shoppers. Poor service today

Its a great place to get a meal for an individual to buy & heat up in the micro wave. I went there to buy a rotisserie chicken but unfortunately they were out & were not cooking anymore. It wasn't even 6 pm. I would think they would make more but they know the history as to how many they would of sold.

Very slow service. Noone knew how to work through the balloons in the floral Dept, had to interrupt the employees gab session to get them to find someone to work even though I had been waiting in that department watching them chat for 10 minutes assuming someone from the group would wander over.

Found the groceries we needed. Purchased a treat, apple filled raised doughnuts and cinnamon doughnuts. They were so fresh. We are very happy with our shopping experience.

Clean, well organized and stocked. Large variety of grocery, personal, and household items. Good prices with some good deals throughout the store. Easy in and out parking lot.

Great prices on food and the gas deal is really great as well I will say their meat is not as good as Shaw's or any other market around here but they do have great Seafood Deli priced meat is kind of expensive

This Price Chopper used to be a 24 hour store, which was great. Unfortunately, they ceased that. Of the many Price Chopper stores in the state, it's slightly better than most, but not as good as Shelburne Rd. Meat is so expensive there now. It's unreal. Shaw's or Walmart are far better for meat.
