NVH staff has been amazing over the last few years! When we first brought our rescue dog in he was an emotional mess. We couldn't hardly bring him outside he was so anxious. With their help and finding the right meds our boy has made a 180 turn! They also have been wonderful with our cats who have their own strong personalities. We can not recommend them more!

I have never seen a place better suited to treat animals, every single staff member was so compassionate and loving towards our hurt puppy they did everything perfect and over the top and we still walked out of there spending less than we thought by a decent amount....we dont live in the area or even the state but if we did I would never use another Vet but them

"Vet" was wrong about my dog and prescribed him unneeded antibiotics and steroids which then made his skin condition worse when all he had to start with was allergies which is extremely common with his breed.Everyone here is extremely rude and childish.They put people on hold for no reason and they lie about calling past vets for records.After this experience I transferred my dogs and would HIGHLY NOT recommend people to gohere.

I brought my 5 month old male Pomeranian pup in for an exam yesterday, and thanks to a surgical cancellation, I was able to get him in for neutering today.The entire staff is amazing! Friendly, knowledgeable, and so patient with answering every little question, and if the person you ask doesn't know the answer, they'll find someone who does! I appreciate that!Dr. Hailey is thorough, competant, friendly, and also no BS! I appreciate that, too! In other words...don't tell me what I want to hear, tell me what's best for my animal. That's what I came for!On surgery day (today), they took excellent care of my wee boy, and kept me informed every step of the way via text messages, even sending a picture of them beginning to wake him up after surgery! I appreciated that so much!They also were instrumental in helping me save the life of one of my baby fancy rats several months ago. He had pneumonia and was so close to dying, but with their help, he made it through, and today he is,a fat, sassy, little boy!If you are looking for quality Veterinary care in the Newport/Derby area, or in the NEK for that matter...look no further! I highly recommend this practice!

It's a good vet. But I feel very unwelcomed and judged when I go there. I take good care of my animals, I've always done what the vets have asked, I don't see why the energy in the room is so heavy when I'm present. Overall it's just not a very welcoming vet. Good service and they've taken care of my animals. But it hasn't been my best experience that's for certain.

The best vet's office I have ever been to!Friendly staff, cat-only exam rooms with kitty tv (birds chirping) and a cat climbing gym. Dr. Gentile spent time reviewing my elderly cat's records and explained various treatment options. I have a skitty-kitty who truly has PTSD when it comes to going to treatment areas so they did everything in the exam room so I could be with him.I couldn't have asked for better care!

I take my 12 year old kitty here and the staff is always very kind and attentive to her and her needs. Dr. Hailey is also awesome, even on a holiday she sent me a message to let us know that my kitty had a uti and left the antibiotics on the porch for her so she could start them asap. Very awesome people work here! Would definitely recommend 🐈‍⬛️😺

Great caring service. The staff is very attentive from the front desk to the veterinarians. If you call with a emergency they always do their best to fit you in. Prices are very fair.

I had my sweet baby cremated here after he passed away, I asked for them to remove his collar as my boyfriend and I had forgot to do that before we brought him in. They called back a few days later to let me know he was ready to be picked up. When I got there they did not have record of him being in a collar, the animal doctor told me “I don’t remember seeing one, I honestly probably didn’t look”. I am beyond upset that I did not get that back as I had asked for them to remove the collar so that I could have that as a memory of him.I will say they did do a very good job at getting his paw print for me.

My regular Vet was closed and my pup had quickly fallen ill. They saw him, cared for him and even called a couple of days later to check on him. I was so impressed with the compassion of the staff. I would definitely recommend them and I will bring my pets their when needed.

I wish they would have given me folder for willow. You could do a quick look at her shot records and see what she has and when she got them. Alot easier then looking thru a pile of papers.

Newport vet has a friendly staff who truly cares about your pets they go above and beyond and I love there pet food at least the one I get you buy 5 bags the 6th one is free which really helps because yes it's a little expensive but great food for your pet especially if they need to be on a special kind of food the place is clean a d has a great smell
