I stopped in for dinner while visiting Vermont for work. The interior is beautiful: the dining area is lots of wood and metal with old motorcycles on display, and the bright, clean open kitchen with its gleaming copper oven in the center is great eye candy while you wait for your food.I've never had anything like the eggplant fries, which were crispy just before melting in my mouth, and are a must if you like eggplant. The garlic parmesan cauliflower was crunchy with lots of garlic flavor coming through - a nice "healthy" option. For protein I went with the chicken tenders which were great, but nothing unexpected there.Service was very friendly. I sat at a large common table as the private tables were reserved, but the hostess let me know that I could have a private table if I wanted when a reservation was canceled. My server had a bubbly personality and was helpful in explaining the menu.The crowd was mostly adult, but I noticed a family with kids having a good time. The place is a little noisy, but it's a very positive energy. Prices are very agreeable; I spent more on a similarly sized meal at a chain restaurant in Lebanon, NH. There aren't many restaurants in the area, but this one should have you covered if you're looking for a solid meal with a nifty atmosphere.

Fat Crow is in a league of its own. We’ve been there at least 5 times, and every visit is wonderful. The staff there are warm, kind, and compassionate folks. It is a popular place, and for good reason! The food is incredible, no matter what you decide to get. The flavor combinations they have are delightful, from the rich and savory pizzas to the light and fresh salads or tacos. We cannot recommend this place enough!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are clearly labeled, and very delicious.Dietary restrictions: They have all sorts of options for people with dietary restrictions!

Stopped in for dinner on our way to Stratton and we were lucky to get a table as this place gets very busy on the weekends. So, reservations are recommended. Cool atmosphere and really helpful staff. We had the buffalo wings which were crispy and flavorful. Not those soggy wings you sometimes get from the local pizzeria. Speaking of pizza, we also tried their wood fired pizza which was on point. Thin crust and perfectly charred. Good selection of wine, beer, and other adult beverages. Would definitely dine here again.

Walked into this spot on a rainy Saturday night with no reservations. The lovely hostess made room for us at the bar and moved chairs around to accommodate my friend and I (bless her). We sat at the bar and met some locals/regulars who were so welcoming. We ended up trying the pesto pizza which was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this spot if you're in the Newfane/surrounding area.

Fantastic. We loved our meals and can't wait to go back and try more. The shrimp tacos were amazing and the perfect amount of spicy. The pizza crust was crispy and thin, and the overall pizza was delicious. It's definitely the best we've found in VT. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The owners really care about this place and it shows. To top it off, the new building is beautifully decorated with motorcycles, cool artwork, and metalwork. This makes for a nice relaxing atmosphere.

for there not being much around the town, the fat crow is a hit! the seasonal berry mojito was delicious, the clam chowder was some of the best ive ever had, and the fish and chips is not only super yummy, but an excellent deal for the amount given! the lobster ravioli was also amazing, the only thing is it was a bit pricey ($25) for 4 raviolis; other than that, the fat crow is an excellent place to go!

Cool vibe and quality fresh artfully prepared food. A real culinary gem! Kudos to the chef! French onion soup was some of the best I've ever had! Hubby's clam chowder equally delicious. Went with a pizza which didn't disappoint. Only regret is they're not open on our remaining 2 days in this area, or we'd be back! Highly recommend reservations!

I liked your motorcycles, wood fired pizza oven and large bar,but it partially contributes to the limited seating and tight quarters.Makes it slightly uncomfortable being so close together.Had ordered 2x fish in chips . Both were in wire baskets which made it kinda mushy and fall in between the spokes.i would have preferred a traditional plate. Both fillets were heavily coated and had a dark brown color with a burnt flavor. I was also overcharged 3$ on each meal. Which was awkward to point out. I did however really enjoy the jumbo shrimp with parm sauce. A hair pricy at $15 for 5. I could see maybe 12,13$. I'm all for supporting local small businesses but it was by far a miss for us.

Excellent meal, everyone enjoyed their dishes, wedge and house salads were generous, brussel sprouts and mussels were excellent. Great burger, fish tacos were very good, got great comments too. Great waitress, Elizabeth, recommended the Soba noodle entree and it lived up to the reccomendation. Overall very good.

Loved this restaurant! On a quick weekend escape to Vermont, my boyfriend and I made reservations for dinner here. It has a lovely exterior and interior.. the bikes displayed throughout the restaurant are beautiful. The brussel sprout appetizer was seriously amazing. We decided to split a pizza and a burger. We felt bad but sent the burger back as it was a bit undercooked for "medium". Our waitress Melanie could not have been nicer and she brought it back to the kitchen. It then came back cooked perfectly and was probably one of the best tasting burger's that I've ever had. The blueberry dessert was the icing on the cake. I cannot wait to stop here again for the ambiance and the food next time I am in the area.

Make a reservation or you'll wait a long time. The food is good though. Salad, eggplant fries, steak, & pizza. One waitress who wasn't for our table kept trying to take our pizza away while we were still eating which was odd.Parking: Park across the street if you can't find parking. Some people double park making it difficult for others to park.Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp, just be careful during winter months as it's very icy.

The lobster roll had large pieces of buttery claw meat, however was a bit small. I made the good decision to upgrade to the eggplant fries, which are large Julian slices in a magnificent batter topped with parmesan cheese and served with some sort of spicy ranch sauce. The clam chowder was good, nice flavor and a thick cream broth.The place is small, so calling at 3pm to make reservations is a good idea. There are regular tables for parties of 2 and 4, community tables, and bar seating.Good food, great service, and friendly people make this a wonderful place for dinner.

This place has very delicious pizza made with their wood fired stove, would reccomend getting pizza here. The clam chowder is amazing. The beer selection was ok, they do carry local beers and offer flights which is nice.Would highly reccomend reservation to sit inside. We called the night before with no problems. We sat near the door and heard then turn people away the entire time. They do have self-serve outdoor seating. Parking is a little limited as this place fills quickly.

The food was good, but the hostess on the evening of October 21, 2023- big yikes. By far the rudest person we've met during our time in Vermont. I hope she was just having a bad day and not always that miserable and rude. We were unaware that this was the only restaurant in a 30 mile radius, therefore we were not prepared with a reservation. We asked for any suggestions of other restaurants relatively nearby and she vaguely suggested nearby towns. We did order take out at the counter and brought the food to our airbnb. It was good. She was the only staff member we encountered so I can't speak to the rest of the service.

Fat Crow is a cool spot! Great vibe, excellent drinks and delicious food - a true gem in the area! We love the pizzas - all freshly made in a large wood oven. Make sure you call ahead and make a reservation - it's particularly busy on the weekends!Parking: A lot of parking however the place fills up quickly!

Food is really good, without exception. High quality, super yummy, never disappoints. The cocktails are equally on point and not overly priced. Beer menu is right on. The problem is the service which has been greatly lacking every time we’ve been. Had reservations, seated at 6pm never heard from anyone until 6:20pm. It was busy but not packed. Table next to us who were seated well after us received service first. Had to go to the bar to get our own water. In these times I appreciate staffing is tough but this really was not acceptable and soured our entire experience. So close but yet so far :-(
