I have always had a good experience here until today. My doc called in a time sensitive medication. It took them 4 hours to fill it. When my husband got home with it, the expiration date said 3 days out from today. I get that help is hard to find but a gal who can barely speak English was trying to help me. Frustration all around.

This place is toxic and you should take your business elsewhere. I was only a customer here because the local mom and pop pharmacy was forced out of business a few years ago. They currently have a pharmacy staffing shortage and will randomly cancel their open hours (large swaths of them, including entire multiple day periods). Because they had closed so much, I couldn't pick up my prescription for about two weeks. When I finally managed to get off work to go fill my prescription, I had to wait in line for 45 minutes. Once I got up there, they had cancelled my prescription due to length of time, again, because they had been closing without warning for days on end.But here's the kicker: when I explained that it had taken me two weeks because they had cancelled so many open hours, the technician proceeded to be completely disrespectful to me, told me it was my fault, pedantically explained there is a "national staffing shortage" and that I would have to wait another 30 minutes and then get back in line (which was now out the door). All she had to do was apologize, recognize a bit of my humanity, and I would have waited. Now I'm using the Hannaford's pharmacy across the street. So yeah, it's clear to me why this place has a staffing shortage.

So I took my 92 yr. Old mom first time to Middlebury, VT. Walgreens. First there was at least 15 managers in suits meeting in main aisle making it difficult to walk thru( should have an office to meet in). Then get to pharmacy and find that their closed 1:47 pm for lunch still. Then my mom asks where there is a restroom we are told there are no restrooms for the public! When Rite Aide was here there was a bathroom. Disappointing experience...

Two employees behind the service deskWhich is next to the photo Kiosk. My daughter 14 asked the woman at the photo machine how to email her photos to Walgreens to have her photos printed. The women snapped an a brief inconclusive answer without any specifics. The staff were rude and didn’t care about being polite or helpful. Never again we will print photos at Kinney drugs instead. Most unwelcoming pharmacy store every. Take your business elsewhere!

I placed a photo order, and I received an email they were ready for pick up. A day later the store calls me to tell me the printer is out of ink and they had not actually printed my photos. That's ok, and I asked when they could get ink. They told me they would have it Friday, and they would call me on the weekend when my photos were ready. By Monday, I hadn't heard anything so I called to ask but found out the printer is still not operational. I asked to cancel the order and they told me that they could not do so and I had to do it online. Except I can't do it online and the Walgreens website says "Orders placed for in-store pickup: Please contact the local Walgreens store you designated as your pickup location." Poor communication and frustrating to try to use their photo service.

I moved here a year ago from out of state and transferred my acct to the local Walgreens Pharmacy without a single misstep. Whenever I have a question, or signed up for a vaccine, I have been treated kindly and professionally every time and my scripts have been filled quickly, with a text to tell me they are ready. Great team!

This comment pertains to the Walgreens in Middlebury... Everytime I have gone in there to pick up meds for my daughter there is an issue. And their comment is always they are doing the best that they can. Their system is antiquated, their phone tree is obnoxious and their help is rude and unpleasant. And if you like the people that wait on you to be making faces when you turn away then I guess this is the place for you.

My beef is with Walgreens. This location is understaffed in the pharmacy. Long lines frequently and the staff is short and rude because they’re likely overworked. Snapping at someone because they’ve been waiting 1.5hr till someone gets off lunch and is then busy at the register instead of filling prescriptions is not necessary or kind.

I went to get two simple necessities. I had asked for an item that I was searching for just to make sure I didn't miss it. The two girls I talked to did not know what I was asking for (chlorhexidine skin cleanser) so they told me that if they do it should be on isle 5. So I said "okay I'll check again". Before I had responded I noticed the attitude exchanged between the two of them when I had asked about the particular product. I walked away and checked for the item again and did not find it so I picked something else. I then go to get into line and notice that there are 2 people on the registers. 1 girl had a line so I went up to the second girl to see if she would check me out and she turned me away and told me to get into line. "There's a line" When I got into line she then opened up the register and continued to tend other customers. I am rather unsatisifed with my visit and rather appalled by the indecency of these said employees. Given the experience I had, it was very unprofessional on their behalf and I do not look forward to encountering these individuals again.

Original Post (Fall 2020):Whenever we have to deal with the Walgreens in Middlebury - it is a bad experience! The staff is rude, information on the telephone is different from what they tell in the store and customers are more treated like kettle than humans!During the pandemic - they even closed the drive through! Really a bad experience ... go to the local competition! They are so much friendlier.Update: Feb/March 2021It seems that they improved significantly. I gave them one more chance and they were really friendly, attentive and provided good service! I updated my review from 1 star to 4 stars and I am giving them more chances in the future. It seems that the service might change significantly with the staff on the given day.

No public restroom. That's a little inappropriate considering the location and customers they serve. With their inflated prices having a public toilet is really the least they can do. So you're old picking up your meds or you're alone with 3 sick kids picking up their meds and the nice cashier tells you to waddle across the street because yeah, that makes so much sense. Thanks Walgreens.Did I pee in the parking lot as a result? Probably yeah.

I went to pick up medication (a narcotic!) for a friend and they told me they couldn't find it and he must have picked it up already. I told them he had just asked me to do it and asked when they thought he had gotten it... to which they said it didn't show that he had picked it up but sometimes things "get missed". After 10 minutes they found it.... and never once apologized or anything. This is only the latest example of a string of bad experiences I've had since they took over Rite Aide. I will not be going back.

Wouldn't recommend for LGBTQIA+ people. Very transphobic environment. I'm trans and went for my booster and the pharmacist publicly shouted my deadname, even though I gave her my chosen name minutes before that. Very disrespectful, bad customer service, would give 0 stars if I could

Scheduled a Covid booster for today, received a confirmation email yesterday, arrived at the store to find out the pharmacy was closed and had been all weekend. I understand that things happen, but call your patients and let them know.

I can never get through to the one in Middlebury. If I go in after my doctor has faxed in script, after 3 days it still is not ready. I really believe the staff cannot handle the prescription load from another pharmacy that recently closed. The last time I was on hold for 52 minutes and eventually got a recording that the pharmacy was now closed. I live only 7 minutes away.

I'm amazed that the pharmacy is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. If I had realized I would not be able to obtain needed medications on the weekends, I would have chosen any other pharmacy. I won't use Middlebury Walgreens again.

Pharmacy Allow you to schedule a covid test for Saturday on the website but then call you a day before and tell you that they cant do the test saturday, and that they also cant schedule you for friday even though they are available.

Check your reciepts here. Twice I have found prices advertised on the shelf different then what is charged at the register. Both times they were higher at the register.
