Well, I used to love most of their offerings, BUT, they changed the burgers (way to large, and gross) and they lost my fave the "hamburgers with peppers"...seems that everyone is selling out

13 dollars for a grinder and there was a couple thin slices of turkey on a 12 inch sub! Also they were out if just about every topping I asked for. This is at no fault of the nice young lady and gentleman that made them and I appreciated their service. The managers who are telling them to make it this way need to get it together and stop being cheap. I hope you read this because the folks of Middlebury expect a real sandwhich. When we were young athletes we always knew we could get the most bang for our buck with lots of MEAT and toppings after a long practice at GREGS. The original Gregs put their food and customer satisfaction first.

This place has the best of everything. The sandwiches are out of this world almost as good as the chicken strips. I cant say enough about this place. The meat is very good. Got some raw drumsticks they were so meaty!! They are about 16 miles from me. It's so worth the trip!!!!!!! Thank you Gregg's you are the best!

Greg's is back baby!! Loving having this hidden gem of a grocery/deli location back up and running in Middlebury. Great no nonsense classic grinders, homemade salads of every variety, cheap and I so good breakfast sandwiches (with a free coffee included) chips and beverages you can't go wrong. In and out quickly with rarely a line at the register I can't recommend this store enough.

Got a sandwich turkey bacon, was impressed with the freshness of all the items good flavor. But no turkey on the turkey bacon sandwich 😕 this sandwich would have been a 5 star deal had I got the turkey I ordered.

This store reopened 7/24/19 under new ownership so photos currently on Google are not accurate. However, it fills the same niche that local residents have missed for years (fresh deli sandwiches and sliced meats, groceries, etc). So far it's too early to give a full review as they're still quite green but based on one visit I'm looking forward to see where it goes from here.Full disclosure: I work for a large supermarket chain.

So, I was really happy to see this place open again, and it's right near my house, so I was walking over every morning to get breakfast. Their breakfast sandwiches are delicious; I had a bacon egg & cheese on a round roll every morning for three days in a row -- always around the same time of day, just after 11am. The only reason for the four-star review (instead of five) is that this morning, at the usual time, I walked over to get breakfast, made my order in the same way as I had for the last three days in a row, and when they brought it to me, instead of it being wrapped in tinfoil and saying $2.89 on it, it was wrapped in white deli paper and said $5.89 on it. I figured it was just a mistake, so I pointed it out and commented, "I got the same sandwich yesterday for $2.89, I'm just confused about why the price is different today." The lady behind the counter told me "well, it's lunch time, and it was a special order, and it has two proteins, so, *shrug*"... So, I said "Ok, thanks, have a nice day!" and paid for my sandwich. But really, it wasn't fair; same sandwich, same time of day, everything was the same except for the price. I'm kinda sad, because I had planned to go buy breakfast there every morning, but if it's going to be at whatever price they feel like, and depend on who is behind the counter, it's not going to work out. I will still do my grocery shopping there, they have my favorite kind of beer (Harpoon Rec League, which is not available at the Beverage Center or at Shaws) and they're very convenient. But I'm kinda bummed out about the breakfast sandwich situation.

Omg if you want a real Vermont grinder this is the place I'll bet it's over 2 lbs of meat and goodies..go there get the grinder you won't be disappointed wish I could do more than 5 stars..

Great place to get fresh produce and meat at a good price. They are always open, too!!Greg's closed this spring (2015) and the store is sorely missed and has left a huge void in Middlebury. Fresh meat is nowhere to be found, and products elsewhere do not compare with the quality (and price) of that found at Greg's.

While visiting from Austin ,TX my family and I where out driving around checking out Vermont’s covered bridges and enjoying the Green Mountain. We stumbled upon Greg’s Meat Market. We where very impressed with their submarine sandwiches!

got a roast beef on round roll with lettuce onion swiss and mayo no lettuce at all and very very little onion this is the fourth time i’ve gotten a sandwich from there that was poorly made

Was really hoping when I heard this was opening that we were getting a nice butcher shop or a grocery store with later hours. No on both fronts, doesn’t have anything you can’t get for cheaper at the other 3 grocery stores in town. Worse selection. A lot of workers too for some reason most of which seemed to just be standing around doing nothing.
