Every time we have come to shop here we have found what we are looking for. The produce section is filled with plenty of fresh items. The young lady who took care of us at the deli counter was very nice and quick to take care of us. It is a rather large grocery store with plenty of the items we look for and purchase.

Why are the employees so lazy at this store? I grow very tired of bagging my own groceries, especially when there is a cashier AND a young man standing next to him, talking to the cashier behind him who is WATCHING a customer bag their groceries.This store is by far the worst one of the bunch. Not an ounce of customer service- no one greets you in the isles and most of the staff here are unapproachable to ask a question. They just don’t seem to care. I’ll be shopping elsewhere from now on.

My experience was clean and well organized. They have a nice selection of flowers and special gifts for anyone looking for that. There is one unisex bathroom available. There was plenty of cashiers and staff. I would recommend this location. It’s also conveniently located right next to a great pizza spot!

Grocery pickup service is Amazing!!!The gentleman who manages the grocery pickup is always incredibly kind and deserves a nice raise ;)

We are up in VT for the winter break. Had to get some groceries and were pleasantly surprised on the new look and upgrades since we had visited last. The store looks wonderful. Lay out was great. Plenty of organic choices in the vegetable section. And we had the best experience with Caitlin in the seafood section. She was very knowledgeable and went out of her way to help us.

The laziest employees in Arlington work here. I am elderly and have a hard time with my arms and shoulders. The cashiers will not lift a finger to bag your groceries or even help do so. I have asked ( a young man with dark beard) and he just stared at me. I have bagged my groceries with staff members standing around, laughing and talking. Why can’t the cashiers help with this? Until this changes, I’ll make the drive elsewhere, to a store that cares about their customers.

An absolute abomination of a grocery store. Merchandising done by what must clearly be a a bunch of 80+ yr old white people. Bland and Tasteless products as far as the eye can. Consistently overpriced, with a ranger of produce that’s either past peak or a week or more till edible (avacados that are so hard the could be used in foundation)! Meat and Fish that well let’s just say the horse meat taco hell serves up is better.Tip… take the drive, gas is cheaper… and head to Albany for Whole Foods, Market32 and Trader Joe’s!You’re welcome !

Didn't bother delivering my order at 4:00, just sent me an email saying they were behind. At 7:30 pm I had to call them to find out where it was. They never planned on delivering it. I'm sick and was counting on that delivery. Morning crew much, much better.

I am amazed to read all the good reviews about this store. I can only go in on the weekends, so maybe it’s a different crew that works at this time? The weekend crew I would call team F. Every time I have gone in the workers either give death stares or actively look away from you. I forgot to enter my card for savings once and I was told by the cashier there was no way to enter it after the total was in. I had around 300$ worth of food. I later found out you could go over to costumer service to fix it. Which also stinks but at least you can fix it. I am a local and I won’t be going back. I will try my luck at price chopper, they seem to be decent people that are capable of treating a costumer as a human being. I mean you don’t have to roll out the red carpet- just do the job.

reasonably decent selection but this STORE IS DIRTY!!!they keep promising the parent company will do a major redo but they keep delaying it....this is really not great because there are a lot of high-end and rich consumers living in the area with a substandard old grocery store...many have expressed a desire to just drive a bit further to hannifords in rutland or bennington, which offers a much better selection and is clean and well merchanidised.

This was the best service I’ve ever received at a grocery store. There’s a friendly face around every corner ready to direct you, even just talking amongst ourselves about the next item on our list someone would magically appear to inform us of the location. The usual unenthused stockboys meandering around most grocery stores are replaced by motivated and alert folk eager to assist at this Shaws. The woman in charge of the self check out was quick to send us in the right direction upon entry, and upon exit she promptly jumped in to prevent us from making a mistakes that would of delayed us. Well lit, well organized, and well stocked the shopping experience was a treat. I’m Blown away. Went in for K-Cups and Birdseed and came out a changed man.

I like shopping at Shaw's for many reasons. It is not one of those supersized grocery stores that exhaust you while youare trying to find your groceries. Shaw's is a mid size market, well stocked with brands you want and high quality meat, seafood, produce and other shopping needs. They also carry items that are sometimes difficult to find in larger stores and have a lovely selection of plants and flowers.I have found store workers to be friendly and helpful. There are other supermarket choices in the region, but I prefer Shaw's.

Very rude cashier. Made nasty faces at my 11 year old daughter and myself. No greeting, no thank you, no have a nice day. She couldn't wait to have us off of her line, and we only had 6 items. First and last time in this store.

Worst grocery store ever 😒 terrible layout narrow aisles too much merchandise everywhere 😤 needs to be streamlined more spacious with central cross aisle to cut length distance 😑 a real mess will stay away

Shaws is currently doing Fetch rewards.Shop at Shaws and get 500 extra points, which my points go for gift cards for Christmas.Shaw's as well as other grocery stores have good prices. Watch your flyers or do the apps.

I give 2 stars because I like their selection, store layout is easily navigated, produce quality and two natural/alternative aisles.Other than that I am disappointed with their lack of friendly and thoughtful customer service at checkout. My groceries are always scanned and sent down the next belt towards NO other associate to bag them and without care that they’re being crushed! So I scramble to start bagging for myself and meanwhile I cannot keep track of my groceries individual pricing that I am continuously being overcharged for at Shaws. (The prices posted are not ringing up Correct at the register.) I’m not sure if the cashiers are looking to make a certain scan time, but they are usually careless and not friendly.So if they’re cashiers could1. smile and politely greet that would be wonderful instead of scowling and looking disgusted when I say “Hello, how are you today?”2. Sort my groceries to be bagged after ring up or Bag my groceries in an organized fashion while ringing up(like P.Chopper in Bennington!)...and if the prices listed checked out more often then that would be wonderful too.In the meantime I will take it upon myself to be more selective with the cashiers that I pick to go through their register, because there are a couple that have been there longer that are actually a pleasure!

The grocery manager, Pat, has gone above and beyond to help our family. Our son has autism and severe food aversions.His favorite food, and one of only 3 things he eats, are Shaws brand vegetable chips. It has been very hard getting them for various reasons. Pat has made calls to the warehouse for us showing exemplary customer service managing to keep us stocked with vege chips! Shaws is fortunate to have him representing their store.

The manager on duty yelled at me for coming in after the store was closed, there were other customers in the store... She had a horrible attitude and even worse eyebrows. I never knew someone could feel so empowered for being the “manager on duty” Good luck girl- the world is a lot bigger than your supermarket 😂

Front Desk Customer Service offered by Don was excellent! Explained answers to my questions on sale items pricing. Also they have electric shopping cart for folks with (walking) disabilities! Very helpful. Thanks Don!

Abby, the cashier, is the best. Polite, a big smile, friendly. I wait in her line specifically, if she's working. The store is usually clean. I like to hit the flower section at the end of the cart full of groceries - which is always well stocked with beautiful fresh flowers - makes wifey happy when I bring home a vase-filler and a pack of of them 'Ferro-Rocher' (sp?) gold foil wrapped hazelnut chocolate candies.

Why is it that every time I come here the cashiers has got to provide some sort of commentary on my purchases. God forbid you might be buying something personal!!! They will announce your private issues to everyone in line. “Yeast infection today Ms. Peterson? Sorry to hear that.” Good lord!!! Who trains these people? A little respect for personal privacy would be the least you could hope for. Don’t count on it!

VERY disgusted by Rhonda's lack of social skills. It's quite disturbing knowing that management chose a person that argues with customers to represent their store. So, shoppers BEWARE...you will be overcharged and then be given a hard time getting your money back. Please do remember that there is a Price Chopper in town. You do not have to deal with poor customer service.

What has made the biggest impression about my shopping experiences at Shaws has been their poor customer service. For every one polite/helpful employee - and there has been some - there are three who are impatient, ignore you or are downright rude. They give the impression they'd rather be anywhere other than working there or assisting the customer. I've lived in NJ, NY, MA, NH, VA, ME, MD, PA and the employees in the Manchester, VT Shaws rank at the top for rudeness.and lack of customer service. I try to take into account people being tired, or overwhelmed but these bad experiences have happened too often. Nothing about Shaw's store setup or quality/variety of food makes it worth putting up with this. I'm dong my future grocery shopping elsewhere.
