Tygart is our go to for summer and winter. I’ve bought skis, boots, coats, bikes, kayaks, disc golf stuff. Bike tune, ski tunes. And they have the best Okemo swag and stickers in town for when we bring friends and family to Ludlow with us. Patrick, Charlie, and the whole crew are awesome and will always steer you right.Perfect example, my son thought he needed new boots this year ($$$). Charlie checked out his fit in his current boots and said they were absolutely good. They are the kind of business that treats their customers right instead of just trying to make a sale today. Which is unfortunately very rare.Plus you get to pet giant dogs. Highly recommended.

All around fantastic. I can’t say enough great things about Patrick and his team. I did extensive research into local rental companies for a very large group of renters on a company trip and Patrick went above and beyond. Extremely responsive and exceptional customer service. Pricing was excellent value, too. We usually rent directly from Okemo for our company ski trip every year but I’m so glad we decided to mix it up. By far a superior rental experience compared to previous years. If I haven’t made it clear already, I *highly* recommend Tygart Mountain Sports for rentals and other winter (and summer) needs!

Tygart is wonderful, great selection of gear and clothing, friendly staff, good spot for rentals too. Plus a big mush of a dog to pet.I also tried to put on a toddlers sweatshirt one time, and when it got stuck on my melon they were very nice about it and told me it was for children and helped me get out of it.

Tygart Mountain Sports near Okemo is an excellent ski and snowboard rental shop that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted with friendly and knowledgeable service that made me feel right at home.I purchased an awesome pair of Black Crows, my dad got an end of season deal on some Volkls and my kids did their first rentals here.What really stood out to me about Tygart Mountain Sports was the level of attention and care they put into fitting each customer for their equipment. The staff took the time to ensure that my boots were properly sized and my skis were adjusted to my height and skill level, which made a huge difference in my comfort and performance on the mountain. The guys will talk to you for as long as you need and are full of advice.Overall, I would highly recommend Tygart Mountain Sports to anyone in the Okemo area looking for quality ski and snowboard rentals and excellent service. The staff truly goes above and beyond to ensure that each customer has a great experience, and the equipment is top-notch. I'll definitely be returning on my next trip to the mountain!

My family and I had an excellent experience! The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and on top of it. I was impressed by how quickly all five of us got in and out even with how wide the range of ages, sizes, and styles of skiing were for us. They also were very personable. My skis are incredible and my boots fit perfectly which sometimes can be hard to find that perfect fit. Thank you Tygart for an incredible experience.

Great store and very helpful & knowledgeable staff. We've had a great experience with the seasonal tuning packages - and the included demos are a great bonus. It's been a long time since we replaced our gear so had no idea what was on the market but their knowledgeable staff recommended some great pairs for my wife and I to demo. So good in fact we ended up going from 'just looking' to buying both sets in the demo sale. Highly recommend.

This is by far the most friendly and helpful ski rental shop my family has been to, and we ski every year. We are business owners and know the importance of good service and professionalism starting from the top. The owner of this place was so nice from the moment we walked in the door. He answered all of our questions and made sure to check on us throughout the process even though he was busy with a lot going on. The two guys who took care of fitting us for boots and skis were wonderful. I have a wide calf and was uncomfortable in the first boot I tried on, so they immediately took out their tools and fixed them up for the perfect fit. They were very patient with all 5 of us, making sure that we were 100% satisfied before we started our skiing adventures. We would highly recommend Tygart!! We use Tygart for all our family ski needs and have turned countless friends and relatives on to them. Patrick and his entire team are exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful while not aggressively pushing sales. They are simply there to provide you with all the information to make an informed decision. Charlie is a first rate boot fitter who will work tirelessly to insure the proper fit and comfort. I highly recommend the family ski tune package which is a terrific value for those with a couple of sets of skis to care for.

What a great shop! Came in to get some new mittens for my son and came out with way more as I'm kind of a gear junkie. Their selection of gear in general is awesome and all top notch brands. Highly recommend Tygart for a number of reasons.1.Their staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.2. The owners of this business care about their community and staff beyond just words.3. Reasonable prices & large inventory.Tygart outfitted my kids with seasonal rentals for many years. A few years ago we had a major fire and all the rental equipment was destroyed. Not only did Tygart go out of their way to get our kids new equipment immediately, they did not charge us for the lost skis. This is the kind of operation they run.

This shop is amazing. While they are at a busy location at the base of Okemo, the space is huge but welcoming, and the employees never make you feel like they are too busy for you. My family has bought several pairs of skis and boots here after amazing demo experiences, and we do all of our seasonal rentals for the little ones in the family here. I highly recommend Tygart!

I’ve shopped here many times in the years I’ve been visiting our second home in Ludlow. The selection of quality sports equipment is top notch. I bought my current pair of skis here after a demo day and I love them so much! I’ve bought everything from bathing suits for my kids and myself, hiking gear, and winter necessities. That is your one stop shop. Maybe next summer I’ll but a new bicycle? I love to stop in because they always have fresh selection.

He has a patient but deliberate manner and has been excellent in terms of handling follow up fit issues. Everyone you deal with in the shop is a pro and has a positive attitude.

We purchased a home in Mt.Holly with friends about 3 years ago. With 6 kids total we needed to find a place for season rentals. The tygart staff was kind, knowledgeable and patient. It can get a little crazy getting all those kids fitted. We have reserved our equipment every year for the next season with no issue. We have also got our own equipment tuned up and they have some of the most customer friendly hours you can imagine especially if your time is limited (open late friday night and pick up sat morning). They carry just about anything you could possibly need for a day on the mountain. Check them out you wont be disappointed.

After we found Tygart Sports on Google and when we walked in we were immediately greeted and helped. My brother was easily distracted by the kind and loving dog they had there while we sorted out our sizes for the reservation. My wife and I moved to Rutland 6 years ago and ski at Killington and Pico. We tried out a bunch of shops for skiing and biking throughout the years. Some are ok, some a good, but few are outstanding. Tygart is outstanding. We drive an extra 22 miles (one way) and pass 8 different shops to give our business to Tygart. The staff is extraordinarily friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. We never feel pressured or overwhelmed when talking gear or maintenance with them. They’re very down to earth and care about their customer’s well being and best interest rather than just making a sale. We can’t say enough good things about this shop and the people who own it and work there. My wife and I will continue to drive out of our way to give them our business. Do yourself a favor and shop Tygart!
