Awesome small grocery store in town with good selection. Store is very clean. Everything is in stock when I come. The staff are very friendly. Grocery prices are pretty typical here.

Solid 4-star grocer. Really the only full service grocery store around so it comes in handy, and the selection is extensive. Average prices in today's markets and overall the place is honestly just whatever you'd expect from Ludlow's grocery store.

My family and I absolutely love coming here all throughout the winter this is the only store we go to to buy everything!! If you can avoid the winter Friday nights and Saturday nights for shopping there because the lines will be almost through the building!, but not unbearable, and as for every Vermonter I’ve ever met you can usually see the pure joy in their eyes when they say hello to you and greet you… Amazing people!

Not helpful. No one even knew the next town over Cavendish. Where are these employees from? The plants outside were pathetic-its Memorial Day- people buy plants. See the working conditions for employees in picture? No one was helpful.I grabbed a container of cut up roast beef cubes which were delicious deli -kudos and left with some carnations. I won't be back.The only difference except for high prices here from any other grocery store is they have zero customer service. Not a good reflection on Vermont.Stop in Springfield or Claremont to shop before heading through Ludlow.

FOR MY BLACK PEOPLE WHO LOVE TO TRAVEL BEWARE OF SHAWS IN LUDLOW. ZERO STARS IF I COULD. My family and I returned to VT for our annual vacation. Our last experience at Shaws was mediocre, but not horrible. This experience showed us that we are not welcomed. Shaws is the supermarket closest to us and we went to grab a few items we missed for a meal. One being a practical store bought margarita we fell in the love with the last time we were here. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to find it at home. We were cashed out by a young lady who looked no more than 19 years old with assistance from a manager who seems over 50. All four of us above the age of 26 years old were told that we were ALL required to present our ID to purchase ONE bottle of margarita. Unfortunately, 1 of 4 forgot her ID and we were declined the purchase because the cashier felt uncomfortable. During this time the manager didn't look at us. The last time we were here the policy was not based on the cashier's level of comfort. The person buying the alcohol presents their ID. We were so discouraged we didn't bother to stop at the wine and spirit to avoid further discrimination and disappointment. I hope that we never forget an item for our meal our crave something we can only find in Ludlow. Clearly melanated people are not treated fairly at Shaws.

We had to go here while staying in the area and it was a very comfortable shopping experience. I love the smaller stores where you don’t feel lost. The isles are super tiny and staff wasn’t very friendly but it was well worth it to get some things we needed.

I went to get get a cat toy at the Rite Aid next door and their pet section was...less than inspiring as it was located next to the extension cords and pliers and light bulbs so came to Shaw's, which had a laser pointer that my cat now totally ignores but at least we can say we tried. :)

We will travel 30 miles just to shop at this store. This Shaw is clean and tidy. The shelves are well stock, the staff is pleasant and awesome. The bakery is great and they do a great on making birthday cakes. You ladies and gentlemen are awesome

I had not been in this store before. I was able to get what I needed. HOWEVER, this is not the store to go to if you're claustrophobic at all, the narrow aisles are crazy... Thank goodness I only had a few items to get I could not take too long in there nor could I work there but again it's only if you're claustrophobic

For a small town grocer who's the only game in town, they do a pretty good job. Any employee I've ever interacted with has been polite and tried to be helpful. Yes, the place is definitely lacking on space to spread out so the aisles feel cramped, and definitely avoid this place during the ski season in the afternoons when ski hills let out or you'll be waiting forever. I've had pretty good luck with the various Shaw's store brand products that I have tried to save a buck here or there, and overall they do a pretty good job with what they have to work with here in Ludlow.

Relatively clean store with a decent selection. The only issue I had was that they're the only big grocery store for a ways and they know it! We visited from Connecticut and the prices are so much higher than what we pay at our local store. I guess when you have no other choice, you'll pay whatever they charge 😬

One star is too many for customer service! Stacey on register One (the express checkout) this evening literally counted out our items more than once and when she realized we had 11 and not (the max) 10, she rang and tossed our items down the belt for us to bag! Literally tossed them! I was shocked!! Sorry we did not see the jar of peanut butter until all items were on the belt and didn’t pack up our items and move to another checkout with the line behind us and other long lines as the store was preparing to close. She was really put out since she did all that bagging!?! What a miserable attitude. I would have asked for a manger but I didn’t want to waste another minute in this store. Hope the manager sees this and chats with her about better customer service, who wants to deal with THAT?!?

Everything is easy to find and if you cant plenty of employees there working on the floor to ask. Also very friendly and helpful. Good meat selection and good pricing. Fresh fruit and vegetable and a wide variety to choose from. Also customer service at the checkout very friendly and communicative.

Shaw's staff are very cordial and helpful, pleasant people. Unfortunately, Shaw's corporate does not give priority to staff or customer safety and health. In violation of the governor's order they do not require or enforce face mask requirements. On my last shopping visit at least 3 customers had no face masks. Apparently profits from those few are worth more than the health of their own staff and other customers who do care enough to wear a mask. Shame.

Pleasantly surprised by the diverse offerings of healthy foods, organic options, local cheeses and beers, wine selection and more.The staff is so nice and helpful. We could not havw had a better experience. Highly recommended!

I didnt go in, my passenger did. But what I noticed was many Handicapped parking spaces plus order and pick up spaces. People never think about handicapped parking until you need one.

Good pricing but limited product selection. We noticed that some non-perishable goods were past their sell by dates. Well stocked grocery department with fresh produce. The store has an entire isle stocked with wine and beer.

It's a small grocery store, so they won't have everything you need. However, the staff is usually willing to stop and help you find something if you're having trouble finding it. Not a huge beer/wine selection, but there's a delicious prosciutto at the deli if you're in the mood for crackers/cheese/meats.

This Shaw's has a pretty good selection of goods, from run of the mill, to vegan and some specialties. It is a small store in a ski town, so expect some items to be sold out and you'll have to deal with a crowd during prime time.

Friendly staff and a great selection of products, for a small town your able or find everything you need. They also have an organic section near the produce that although smaller than the Springfield location still has a good variety.

Friendly & helpful staff, appreciated. We no longer can shop Shaws because they allow customers without face covering/masks inside the store. "No shoes, no shirt", can't come in. But a simple mask to reduce spreading the deadly coronavirus is not required??? Why?

Only grocery store in the town of Ludlow, but they have a great selection. Expensive, but they're meat and produce are of good quality, and it's nice to not have to drive 40 minutes elsewhere.

Things that I specifically went looking for on sale, typically, late in the day were gone. This trip, specifically 99¢ a pound brand name chickens. I was gunning for 4 and only found one. Prices tend to be higher then other stores. IE. Price Chopper and Trader Joe's, which I travel 90 minutes one way to shop at once a month. (Northern Massachusetts)

For a supermarket chain, Shaw's is great. They usually have the things you need, or a suitable substitution. Employees are friendly and helpful. 2 thumbs up.

Something needs to be done in Deli area regarding customer service. You can be standing there(only customer) get someones attention & still have long wait. My days in retail customers always came first, then go back to what you were doing! Common sense. Regarding store inventory in comparison to other supermarkets in vicinity Shaws actually has fresh seafood & great fresh cut fruit. Being landlocked quality seafood means alot. I do wish after vacation rush that store restocked in more timely manner. Overall out of all supermarkets in 40 mile radius Shaws stands out,thankful its here.

It okay it was my first time there I only got couple things the only thing I didn't like about it you have to pay for the bags in VT I don't know if it's all VT but it's been in two that I have been in to so bring your own it's ten cents I think
