Was suggested by the snowed inn at the top of the hill and I am so glad we listened. The food was excellent, I got the gobbler which was a turkey burger with cornbread stuffing, and cranberry aoili, while my friend ordered the chicken which had grilled chicken and veggies, everything was so tasty down to the last bite! And the staff was super friendly and attentive, the area was a bit cramped but I loved the idea of it feeling like a train in a way. Was really busy! Definitely all who enter must try it!

Found this place in June last year and fell in LOVE with their service and food. Specifically, their pork belly Mac and cheese. It had pork belly, sautéed onions, and a delicious bacon jam making it stand out from their regular mac by a long shot. It was so phenomenal, I ordered 2 to go and came back again during my visit! I went back recently while I was in VT (was so excited to come back!) and saw the price had actually increased since just June, but it was a small price to pay for the deliciousness that was this specialty Mac and cheese. However, I was so saddened to see that they actually removed most of the components of this dish, leaving it to be just their classic Mac and cheese with sparse pork belly. For $25, an extra 5 dollars compared to the plain mac, I was very disappointed as this was something I raved about to all who would listen, and I couldn’t wait to get back and have it. I did also notice that the portion was noticeably different as well in comparison to the price point. We ended up paying 100+ for each of us to get a mac and a drink + standard tip, which was very pricey. My husband and I agreed the original dish was one of the bests we ever had, anywhere. Otherwise, the atmosphere was (as always) nice and welcoming, despite it being peak for skiing season. The servers are always so kind and service is always so timely.

We had a great Thanksgiving night dinner here. Reserved the special caboose room on the second floor and it was an absolute hit with the kids.Food were delicious with great potion. Kids had lobsters mac n cheese and steak. My salmon dinner was great and the french dip sandwich was nice as well. For dessert we had mud pie and pumpkin pie, both excellent!

We needed a spot for dinner between Woodstock and Rutland- we saw Casey’s Caboose on the map and figured we’d give it a try. So glad we did! The mac n cheese deserves whatever award it got. Burgers were incredible and very fresh. Food feels on the pricier side, but the quality is worth it. The staff is so accommodating - they were super short staffed when we went, and they still made sure we got seated in a timely manner, and we really didn’t wait that long for our food either. Would totally recommend!

Quaint, unique, fantastic restaurant in Killington! The atmosphere is unlike anything else, you're literally in the caboose of a train, how cool is that! The food is fantastic, I wish I could try every single burger on the menu because all of them look delicious. The scallops were particularly great and the maple stout will be on my mind for the rest of my life it was that good.

The food is wonderful. Our House Special Wings, The Maryland Burger and Fish and Chips were all freshly prepared the delicious. I love how all the meat is not too salty and very juice. Highly recommend the fried pickles in the burger, too!

Casey's Caboose remains a perennial favorite, offering an exceptional experience despite facing short staffing challenges. The diverse drink menu, featuring expertly crafted cocktails and a well-curated beer selection, caters to all tastes. The burgers, cooked to perfection, are a true delight, showcasing the kitchen's culinary prowess. The cozy and rustic atmosphere at Casey's Caboose sets the stage for an inviting dining experience. Despite being plagued by short staffing, the staff's commitment shines through. Our server, Riley, consistently delivers top-notch service with her attentiveness and friendly demeanor. Casey's Caboose manages to maintain a high standard, making it a must-visit for those seeking a delightful blend of great food, drinks, and ambiance.

We went to Casey's caboose on our last night in Killington and we kind of regret our choice. The atmosphere and service was great for a Monday but the food was not good. The French dip I ordered was ok, but the Lobster Mac and cheese my wife got was awful the lobster was really chewy and had an off taste. The only redeeming food we got was the French Onion soup which was really good. They do seem to push the burgers the most they are even half the menu so maybe stick to those if you go.

Disgusting leftovers left in the bottom of a glass of water, we should have known to just leave then. But our group of 4 was already seated and hungry, so we ordered. The "award winning" Mac and cheese was VIOLENTLY BLAND. It felt like they were waging a war against flavor, and boy howdy were they winning. I got the chicken parm version, and two other people at my table got the plain version. The breaded chicken was pounded paper thin and cooked into a solid disk with blackened breading around the entire patty. Our table ordered 3 espresso martinis that left us whistfully talking about other, more satisfying espresso martinis. All of this mediocrity for only $200, before tip!! Disappointing, ridiculously overpriced, amd unsatisfying. Go to any of the other restaurants down the road; I haven't tried them, but it's impossible for you to be any less satisfied. It was built off of a train, and that's neat, but it doesn't like push the train theme, so it doesn't even have the niche thing going for it. Genuinely, there's no reason to go here.

This may have been one of the worst experiences for our family. We booked an 8:30 PM dinner reservation. When we arrived there was no hostess and a huge line of people who were waiting. I tracked someone down who said our table would be done soon. So we went to the bar. The bartender did not acknowledge me for 15 minutes, but instead cleared spots and refilled other drinks. By the time we were seated and ordered, they forgot my husbands drink (his birthday drink) and I once again had to hunt down a server. To make matters worse when we finally got dinner for our kids at 9:30 PM, they completely forgot one kids meal. It was a really frustrating and disappointing meal. Unfriendly and not attentive at all.

A cute restaurant that is hard to say whether it's a bar that serves good food or a good restaurant that feels like a bar. Either way, the bar food here is awesome and the gin selection is nothing like I've ever seen.First things first, this isn't your fancy restaurant experience - if you want that, you would go to wobbly barn or the foundry. But if you want some casual dining, this place does it amazingly well. Or I should say they do bar food very well. Burgers were amazing (for Manhattanites, think Corner Bistro), as were the wings and French onion soup. However, salad apparently wasn't great (but again, who orders salad at a bar?)If you are in the mood for really good casual dining, definitely give Caseys a try!

We had high hopes based on the reviews but we were very disappointed. Our party of 5 arrived for dinner around 5:30 and the restaurant was relatively empty except in the bar area. We were seated in the back in a 'caboose'. It was very quaint. We ordered appetizers and dinners. The appetizers were decent and came in 10-15 minutes. However, after an hour, we still didn't have our dinners. All the while, 2 tables with 5+ people who arrived after us got their appetizers and dinners. We had the same server. We checked in with the server about our meals. She dismissively replied the kitchen was backup and everyone was waiting for their meals and quickly left. We did not appreciate the outright lie as the people who came long after us were served. The meals came shortly after our inquiry. However, our meals were lukewarm at best. It seemed the meals had been sitting under the heat lamp for quite a while. The baked potato was hard and barely warm, the bottom bread of the pastrami sandwich was completely soaked through with juice, the alfredo and spaghetti sauces had a haze on it indicating it's been sitting for a while. We informed our server about the food. She was frustrated and again blamed the kitchen even after we pointed out the indicators of food had been sitting around for a while. She did offer to remake the food. We decided to pass and took our business to Choice's. We wasted 1.5 hours. I wanted to give the manager the heads up to our experience before I write this review. Unfortunately, after 10 minutes of waiting, we left because we were very hungry. We will not be back. There are restaurants with much better trained servers and management.

I went to Casey's Caboose for the first time and had such a wonderful dinner. I love the railroad theme. You really feel like you are in a caboose! The staff was so friendly. When my son didn't like his mac and cheese (I tasted it, it was delicious) they gave him a grilled cheese instead at no extra charge!! I loved my veggie burger, and my other children really enjoyed their fish and chips. I will definitely be going back!

Casey's Caboose was a great experience.Dennis our server was professional, funny, extremely helpful and honest. I would return and request him as our server. Food was unique, different, delicious and plated beautifully. I Highly recommend making this a stop when in the area. I am a travel agent and this is one of the best places I have been in all my travels.

The food was mediocre, and it took almost an hour for them to serve it. They served the appetizers and main courses at the same time. The pasta was bland, the French onion soup and Bavarian soft pretzels were over salted, and the burgers had multiple inedible ingredients, including an avocado that was not ripe. The only thing we enjoyed here was the hot apple cider. It was an unremarkable meal.

Overrated! Poor customer service!!! And I mean VERY poor!We called a day ahead to make dinner reservations, only to be told that they don't accept them for less than 6 people. We showed up the next day at 5:30pm, there was no hostess. I finally got a hold of the bar tender (cause the waitresses were too busy to have a word). Bar tender said that there was a 2 hour wait, and they were not taking down names.Wow! Why bother to go here!?

We waited a very long time for our onion soup, only for it to be brought out room temperature. The cheese had clumped into a hard ball, and the soup was extremely salty to begin with. I ordered the salmon burger, which came out at the same time as the soup. The salmon burger disintegrated out of the bun into tiny clumps on my plate (pictured), so not really much of a burger. Served with soggy sweet potato fries. Maybe it was a bad night for them, but this was not a good dinner.
