This place was suggested by the Old Red Mill Snowflake Bentley Museum.This is an upbeat deli, restaurant and bar.It was not busy when I got there at about 4:00pm. I hadn't had lunch so I decided to have soup and tacos. The soup was butternut squash and it was excellent! And I never say that!Tacos we're huge and quite interesting flavored. They're so so big I had to use a fork and take one homeThe service wasn't very quick. Even having a glass of wine took a while. I noticed that the couple next to me was served both their salad and their burgers at the same time.I suspect that the server was not very well trained because the people were shocked. When you put that much food in front of someone at the same time it's overwhelming and unprofessional.When the hosted me, he put my menu down forcing me to look outside at the blank snow covered field. I chose not to sit that way and rathered to engage with watching the people come in and out.There was plenty of gossip to listen to from the staff at the bar. Apparently they had gotten a new sound system and they were going to have trivia night that evening but I was too early.I might stop in again.

Had a GREAT breakfast with my Grandson here this morning. The food was so good! Our server Brittaney was both proffesional and pleasant. My breakfast sandwich consisting of eggs,Swiss cheese and bacon w/ LT was so tasty. Coffee was fresh. Grandson had Sunnyside ups and delicious home fries with a super tasting hot chocolate..Coming back for SURE.Try them. You'll like them!

I’ve been here many times, over 30 times I’d say. It’s in my hometown so it’s bound to happen! I love their wingnight and burger night deals. Overall it’s a great spot with love music on the weekends and good Vermont comfort food.We went for brunch this past weekend and it was pretty good! We had a newer server, she was slow, okay, never asked us how our food was. Other than that the food was great. I got homemade corned beef hash and my friend had the eggs benedict.I hope Jcat never leaves and I hope they always have burger & wing night.

Charming little place. The dishes include local ingredients with a bit of a twist. Tried the filet mignon. It was so tender (and perfectly rare the way I like), I was able to cut through it with a regular table knife! Food presentation was a great touch. My partner across from me had the fried chicken sandwich, said it was a little bland but everyone else seemed to enjoy the meal. Fries looked a bit over done but I didn't try them myself. Nonetheless all agreed we'd come here again.Waitstaff is friendly, attentive and accommodating! Even took off the hot toddy I had since it was a little too strong for my taste.The place can be somewhat loud when it's full so be aware of that. Understandable for the smaller size of the place.

My boyfriend and I were pretty pleased with our experience here today. He has the Fish and Chips and I had the Haddock special. Our server was very sweet and helpful giving us plenty of time to look through the menu. There was a bit of a wait but what do you expect on a friday night. Food comes looks lovely plated nice. My boyfriend loved his dish mine unfortunately was a bit over buttered, my server she was so sweet and wanted to make things right even one of the owners came to greet us being apologetic. I must say I have never experienced such amazing service will come again.

Really happy with the first visit to Jericho Cafe and Tavern. The place has a really great vibe and the staff was super welcoming and friendly. We started with some tasty chicken wings and our dinners arrived quickly and were also very good. It was a weeknight, so we didn't get a chance to hear any of the live music but it looked like it would have been a ton of fun. Would definitely return!

We visited here February 14 2024. My husband made a reservation and the only one available was for 5pm. We tried asking for earlier. We arrived at 4:45 and the place was dead. Remained that way until we left at 5:40. We were told we'd be seated and could get drinks but the VDay menu didn't start until 5. The server didn't show up for about 10 minutes. The table near us had just finished eating (so obviously the regular menu was available earlier). The menu wasn't special. It was limited. They only offered certain items from the regular menu. All they did was drive up the price $2-5 or more dollars per item and not include the sandwiches or burgers, etc. This was not anywhere on the web site that there would be a limited menu. When my husband called, we were not told that we could've shown up prior to 5pm and ordered off the regular menu. Poor business practice in my opinion. Won't be returning.

Great meal as always - and as always, surprisingly affordable and friendly staff.Tonight we started with the soup du jour which was some some amazing creamy soup with local turkey and vegetables and their calamari which is as unique and delicious as the menu made it sound: “Crispy Fried, Tossed with Pineapple Chili Sauce, Blistered Shishito Peppers, Sesame & Scallions”We then ordered two of the night’s specialty burgers - the big JCAT (their twist on a famous fast food burger that shall remain nameless) and the jalapeño popper burger with scallion cream cheese, bacon fat mayo, corn flour fried jalapeños and shredded kale on a potato roll. Both came with a massive pile of fries.Everything was awesome and we’ll enjoy the leftovers for lunch tomorrow!

The customer service was nice. Prices were reasonable. The Potato Latke was overcooked. They had my hand scratching my head on the Reuben sandwich. The corned beef was not sliced and piled high but was cubed. Nothing like eating a sandwich and the cubed meat falls off. The fries were also overcooked. A customer should not have to explain the restaurant that there is an issue with the meal. Remember, quality 1.

On a long weekend visit to Vermont, the Tavern came highly recommended by a local on a Friday night. We were told there would be a 45 minute wait but were accommodated much earlier by being seated on the lovely porch. The porch turned out to be the perfect setting and the food was well worth the wait. The French onion soup was top notch and the quesadilla was delicious. The salmon was cooked to perfection and the presentation reflected a talented chef. We would highly recommend a visit and if there is a wait, enjoy a beverage and the music while you wait. You won’t regret it. Enjoy!

To paraphrase Seinfeld, the reservation is made to hold the thing… Apparently this is not the case here. While I understand Saturday is a busy night a 30 minute wait after our reservation time doesn’t seem acceptable. Ultimately we had to leave as we would not have had time to eat before our other obligations for the evening. So either take reservations and hold a table or just do first come first serve and then we can plan accordingly. Instead we ended up at McDonalds so all around disappointed.
