This quaint Bed & Breakfast is a great find. Perfectly located in between Johnson and Smuggler’s Notch Ski Resort, it is nicely priced and run by the kindest folks, Lisa & Pat. Their breakfast is super tasty and the Tavern below offers a wide menu for dinner. All in all I’m glad I stayed here because the resort is pricey and this place is way more cozy and personal.

Me and my husband really enjoyed our stay here in October 2023’s 1st week. We got a double queen bed room. It was cozy, had a fan in case we felt hot. We stayed there for one night and slept really good as the beds were comfortable and I really loved the blankets (as I have one similar at home). The breakfast was really good. We had to check all items for breakfast a night before and they were ready at the time we circled on the sheet. The check in person was really warm welcoming and an amazing person. The bathrooms were very clean and the whole room was infact very tidy and neat. It’s a really great place ro stay. I highly recommend it. Thank you for your amazing hospitality!

Cute, all rooms are on 2nd storey FYI.Service was friendly and very good. Queen bed was VERY uncomfortable, woke up very sore, didn't sleep much as also very hot. No air conditioning, there was a fan in room were could turn on.Breakfast is a-la-cart that you order the night before, it was fine, not very tasteful and not a Hardy Breakfast. Coffee was ick.

If you like stepping back in time (which we do) this is the place for you. Photos of the inn range back to 1900 and perhaps earlier . Leaning hallways and creaking stairs mark the passage of time for this family owned inn that once doubled as an opera house. Breakfast was particularly good and well managed. There is a pub at the far end that is lively, friendly, and serves good food. Rooms are clean but tight however the Inn can accommodate larger parties in some rooms. We came here to cycle and kayak and there is an abundance of options for both.

Lovely place to stay!! The staff is super accommodating and offered to make us a pot of coffee mid afternoon when my boyfriend asked about local coffee shops. Beds were really really comfy and the room was quaint and cozy, like a bed and breakfast vibe. The breakfast was delicious as well. You fill out a breakfast form the night before with the time you want to eat and it’s ready for you by the time you go down for your allotted time slot. Wonderful experience here we will definitely be coming back!

Three friends and I travelled to Jeffersonville VT to start a section hike of the Long Trail. Smuggler's Notch Inn was a perfect starting point for our adventure. The 200 year old Inn is full of character and well cared for. The rooms were cozy and clean. The restaurant below was convenient and the prime rib was excellent. Pat, the owner, even shuttled us to the trailhead and watched over our vehicle while we were gone. I highly recommend a stay at the Smuggler's Notch Inn.

My wife and I definitely enjoyed our stay even though I was a bit skeptical never having stayed at an Inn before. This was like stepping back through time in all the best ways. It was classic Americana, vintage New England in all its majesty, even across from a white steeple church!Pat and his son Jacob made quite the team and moved with precision and expertise but always took enough time to make you feel like more than just another guest. The lodge is welcoming and stocked with the books and board games, comfy seating and a gas fireplace. Victorian-era mouldings made the space feel rich with history and the white tin embossed ceiling perfectly contrasted with the original maple floors. Rough-hewn boards, where no two were alike joined together by seemingly ancient grout. Our room was modest, cosy and wonderfully utilitarian. However, it was thoughtfully furnished with a good selection of satellite DirectTV, a space heater (to supplement the central gas radiator heating) and a small fan.Pat is a fantastic cook and an even nicer man. We tried every breakfast option available during our stay and they were all great! He offered to hold a room for us when we were concerned we may not be able to make our itinerary due to inclement icy weather. Would recommend SNI over the resort any time. Quick drive, that's rather scenic and doable in most conditions without worry. The restaurant/ bar downstairs is also really good. And the accessibility to mainstreet / cupboard deli can't be beat!

This is the perfect place to stay if you want to play disc golf at one of the highest rated courses in the world, Smuggler's Notch. It's also only a half hour drive via beautiful Smuggler's Notch to the Alchemist brewery in Stowe, where you can stock up on Heady Topper, at one time the highest rated beer in the world. There's no need to drive anywhere, as there's a restaurant and bar right on the premises. Considering the age of this historical inn, we found it to be quite comfortable and we were delighted to be treated with a hearty breakfast the next morning. The vintage building just oozes rustic charm, making the whole experience a pleasure one rarely gets to enjoy at a motel or hotel. And the price for a room is extremely competitive. Five stars.

Had to stop for the night after planning more miles than my legs felt like doing on the Lamoille Trail.Nice older rooms with personality, charm, etc. Nice little downtown area with a bike shop. The gas station across the street from the one with the Subway has killer sandwiches and Gatorlyte (or go to the liquor store for Revitalyte, both are Pedialyte for adults who fail to hydrate properly on long rides). No secure bike storage though, they just had me leave it on the back porch (not visible from street), they're fixing something up though.

My husband and I were only going to be spending one night. We got a call, email and text letting us know that Pat had come down with COVID. We were given the option of a refund or a no contact check in/out. We chose to stay and are glad we did. The room was clean and comfortable. The area was quiet. The customer service went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of even though they couldn't be there.

Got home last night from this amazing Inn. Our family enjoyed a few nights over Presidents weekend there and it was great!. The breakfast in the morning was something we talking about thru-out the day and was a highlight. The beds were very comfortable and the room was a perfect size. It was very close to Smugglers notch resort and to the local things we checked out. Each night we checked out the bar after a long day of skiing and it was cozy spot to go over the day together. Looking forward to booking next year.

This little Inn a as very charming and authentic, the squiggly staircases showed the charm and historic value of the beautiful building. It’s a 10 minute drive to Smuggs Notch, and with the small price tag for a night, that’s amazing. It was very convenient having the Tavern downstairs for dinner and drinks, tasty food and friendly local staff. Despite the hot tub not working and not having any hot water, it was a great stay.Additionally, it was lovely staying at a privately owned Inn, the owners do everything themselves, I will certainly stay here next time.

Can I just move in here please!? Lisa and Pat are the best hosts! My bed was so comfortable, I slept like a baby.I wasn’t expecting a full made-to-order breakfast, and it was delicious (great pancakes!). Yes, it’s an older building, all the guest rooms are upstairs, but I loved the charm and felt totally at home. I’ll most definitely be back.

This inn was probably the best thing for us to find on a trip that went a bit haywire. Not only were the beds and room absolutely amazing and cozy but the owners treated us like family. One of the employees even saw us in town later that day, recognized us and asked if we were doing alright - the level of care we received was top notch!!!

The inn was nice and rustic. Did not like the stairs situation. Wish the inn had more life in it, but I guess it was late. The staff at the counter was nice, service was adequate. The room was big enough. I did not like the bed very much and the pillows need improvement. It was hard to stand on the hardwood floors because the salt and rocks from my boots got everywhere so a carpet or two inside the room would have been nice. Location was good. You can find restaurants near you if you look them up. Overall, it was a fair stay.

Came up here for our anniversary ski trip to Smugglers Notch. The innkeeper was very kind and informative. The room we had was by far the most romantic and coziest room I've ever stayed in. Albeit a little small but completely manageable. Connected to two great restaurants for easy access on a snowy day. Would recommend and would stay again.
