Let's start with service, Host (owner) went above and beyond throughout our stay. We could feel that providing a great customer experience was a high priority for her. All staff encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. She has built a great team! The nicest hotel operators I have ever encountered in my decades of travel. I do generally stay in these types of mom & pop hotels and this one was one of the cleanest I have experienced. Room appeared to be recently refreshed. Bathroom was spotless. Everything worked as it should. Heating system was perfect and plenty of hot water.Location is directly on Island Pond and owner also operates the adjoining gas station, convenient store / deli as well as a cute little bar that has a beachside vibe. The little town in general knows how to host visitors. Tourists are their livelihood and they really take care of us visitors! Big thanks to Danielle, her staff and all the residents of Island Pond for making us feel so welcome! We will be back 😀

Recently stayed here and the room was disgusting. If I could figure out how to include pictures I would. I have plenty to go a long with this review. Rooms haven't been mopped in who knows how long, our feet were black. The clean towels on the rack had stains on them. There was a half eaten granola bar behind the night stand stuck to the floor. Bugs in the ice bin container. Ring in the toilet bowl. Beds are hard as a rock and you can feel every spring. I tried contacting the owners with email, phone and even left a note in the room and never got a response back to these issues. We have stayed at this place many many times in the past but the new owners have unfortunately let this place go. It used to be so charming to stay here but it is definitely not well taken care of anymore. Even more upsetting the owners can't respond or even offer an apology for how poorly the rooms are cleaned. The customer service is poor.

The room was clean but a little out dated. There was no A.C? Had to open the window and unfortunately our neighbors were in and out smoking all night and drinking right near our room, so it was hard to rest peacefully. The lake behind the building is very pretty. Food options are limited to like 3 places to eat and a small grocery store, so if your expecting shops and all that, don't. The people in town are super friendly though so that was a plus. Also the office was closed and we had to go to a gas station to check in for the night? Basically no staff on site, had there been a real issue I'm not sure the young kid that handled check in would even be able to assist.

The room's in side were great, but the outside, different story. The plants hanging hadn't been watered. They were dying. The carpets on the upstairs decks hadn't been vacuumed in months. They were dirty. The concrete on bottom level hadn't been swept in months. The lawn by the outside table's hadn't been mowed at all. There was geese do do all over the place. Needs better upkeep definitely. $129.00 a night is pricey.

We had a short stay. The stay was good, and the view was amazing. People were friendly in this small town. It was really confusing to find the office of the motel to check-in. They never answered the phone. The GPS actually will take you to Irving Gas Station. We encircled it couple of times and decided to ask the cashier at the gas station about the office and she told us Irving gas station is the actual office of Island Pond Inn. 😁

This is the best place to stay if you planning to visit Lake Willoughby or North East Vermont. It's like a scenic spot itself.Nearby activities: Lake Willoughby and scenic drive in Westmore

The room was OK, but...We had booked the wrong date. Called to cancel and got answering machine. They eventually called us back and said they would refund our credit card. We rescheduled a couple weeks later and they again charged our credit card. On arrival we find out that there here is no front desk for check-in and you have to next door to a gas station/convenience store to check in. They know nothing about billing. We stayed one night and went home. We subsequently learned that they never refunded our original charge and tried calling and emailing them with no response. we are now out $130.00. Don't know if it is incompetence or blatant fraud, but caution anyone staying at this place.

Musty mildew smell in the room, had to get a air freshener for the room, electrical outlets were all loose couldn’t barely charge anything, tried calling for two days to see if I could get a early check in no one answered and when I arrived I had to check in a back room in a gas station which was sketch. Was not comfortable there to point where we left early, also bed was not queen size as what was booked we got a full

Customer service here is excellent.Rooms are clean had a pleasant sleep over the night. There is no A/C… Beautiful lake view, Good parking space, Nice Mountain View,Especially people who provide us service at late night are awesome.

people are sweet here. rooms are decent.The wifi is bad. The walls are too thin and you can hear a lot of noises 24/7 which doesn't allow one to sleep peacefully.Half of the electric boards won't work and there is no microwave here.One can adjust here and have a decent stay but the price is too high for this.

Room had no microwave or hot plate. But food places close by within 40 feet of hotel lake front hotel. Nice place to visit old school. Clean plenty of hot water room comfortable friendly hosts. leave tip for cleaning lady !! Price ok.aaa discount

It was very quaint and the service was friendly as well as prompt; I couldn't have asked for better hosts and I want to make that the main point before I go into the cons. When entering the room there was only one shampoo even though the room was registered for two guests. Secondly the refrigerator that was in the room was plugged to a faulty or a socket with no power going to it so we had to move it over. As for the heating and cooling it was very tedious to go between the thermostat and the air conditioner which blasted cold air even on low. I suggest coming here though, I did not communicate these issues until the final day so I'm more than confident if I asked earlier it would have been rectified.

We have stayed their twice this summer 2018 to fish beautiful Island Pond. The fishing was great and so was our stay at the lakefront Inn. Everyone is so accommodating. And awesome food close by at the deli. The pizza is great. Can’t wait for our next trip.

Staff was very accommodating. Room did not have a coffee pot or hair dryer. When asked, staff provided a coffee pot and then went out and purchased a hair dryer for the room. Wife was happy.

Lets start with WiFi, unless you're very close to the office you won't have any. Forget WiFi in your room. No fault of the Motel, but wireless service is all but non existent.The rooms....1970 furniture and the dirtiest carpeting known to man or beast. Socks turned black after just a few minutes without shoes, as I was traveling with friends and we occupied five rooms I was not alone. There is no coffee in the room, no room service and after five no staff. Come Five O'clock you're on your own. To sum it up, .........It's furniture is old, the rooms are dirty and there's no one around to help you. You can't call for help because your cell phone wont work, and you can't text or send an E-Mail because you can't get WiFi. There is a phone in you room for local calls though. As for price, for what it was I think I over paid. I must say the Lake is beautiful, very clean (cleaner than my room) and the area is very quite.

Spent the night in Room 19 and the accommodations we're good. Beds weren't the most comfortable but the couches and kitchen and lounge were nice. Nice view of the lake.
