Had an ok breakfast here on eclipse day. Although the atmosphere was good, the service was unfortunately extremely slow - we waited for nearly an hour to be seated, and then another hour to be served, presumably because of the large crowds in town for the event. The breakfast was also just ok - the brisket hash omelette was on the bland side and the toast was decent but a bit overdone for my taste. The beans were amazing, however - would definitey have those again if I had the chance.

We came on the day of the eclipse, when hordes of folks from out of state descended on this small town. The folks running the restaurant were wonderful. We waited a while for the table as the kitchen was overwhelmed, but we expected that (and had nothing to do but wait for the solar show anyway!). The staff were SO nice to our group of 7 (the 4 kids sat at their own table). The food was EXCELLENT. I had a delicious breakfast sandwich, the kids loved their pancakes, the bacon was cooked perfectly, and all of the members of my party loved their food. The owner was friendly and continuously made sure everyone was happy and the bathrooms were clean (they were! so clean!). All in all, this was a great place to eat full of lovely people in a delightful and friendly town. Highly recommend, and we will be back next time we are nearby!

Three of us had breakfast here on 7.16.22 and we were immediately greeted by Bob. Our waitress was fast and friendly. Got my coffee before I even looked at what to order. I didn't care for the deep fried home fries but everything else was great. The brisket flavored beans were our favorite. This place is a bit dated but that's just part of the Island Pond environment. Come as you are.

Many times, side dishes aren’t the main event… BUT my omelette came with a side of smoked beans and I wanted to lick the bowl clean! Great food and nice company in this small but tasty joint.

No doubt the beautiful area of Island Pond was a very special place to Native Americans for thousands of years- in rmore recent history it was special to those who rode the rails from Monteral to Potland and stopped in this train hub town. Now what we find very special there is the little gem of a restaurant , "HOBO's". Run by a Dad and his master chef son, the ribs and brisket we experienced there were off the graph in flavor. Everything was fall off the bone quality with stunningly good rubs and barbecue sauces home made by this very talented chef. The restaurant is right downtown and has a railroad motif to complement the town's history. Everything was spotless with fast and attentive service. Do yourselves a favor - take a beautiful drive through Vermont to Island Pond and visit Hobo's for "to die for" ribs.

We checked out this reasturant while on vacation. The staff was extremely friendly. The food was legit so good. Everything is homemade. Later in the day we saw the same reasturant staff running a food stand at Colebrook craft fair. They remember us from the morning and we ordered their brisket. It was so good. My boyfriend said it was better than the brisket he had in Texas. This place was one of the most friendliness reasturant I've experienced delicious food.

Food was excellent! The potatoes had onions (amazing!), the toast was thick, homefries were crunchy, and the beans were the best I've ever had (seriously... we drove an hour to try this place, and we will go back just to have those beans again). Highly recommend!Restaurant is small, clean and cozy and service was very friendly.

I ordered two blueberry pancakes with home fries, they asked me if I wanted onions in my home fries and I said yes. When they showed up they did not have any onions and they had so much salt on them that after taking three bites I started to develop a migraine from the amount of salt loaded on them. Unfortunately for myself they placed said home fries directly under my blueberry pancakes on tbh plate so that when I went for a bite of my pancake they were also extremely salty to the point that I could not eat the lower pancake that had been touching the home fries. So for $14+ I ended up with one blueberry pancake, an order of bacon that was so very oily, and a lackluster cup of coffee.

As a southerner from the Texas area, let me tell you this place had an amazing taste with every bite of our orders. Looks can be deceiving and this time they were. The food was perfect, the staff were friendly as family, and the price range is affordable. We had great conversation and were treated wonderfully. We will be returning soon!

We walked out after the waitress started serving the third table that came in after us, before she had even taken our drink order. They just seemed very overwhelmed and unable to process the tables in any sort of orderly fashion. We even called ahead to ask if a party of 6 was too much and on the phone they said they could accommodate us. I would say if you're dining with more than 3 people, find somewhere else to go. Or find somewhere else regardless, it's very hot and stuffy in the restaurant. Just overall, terrible.

The food and service were excellent. They don't serve alcohol and they were out of our choice of soda. The light in the bathroom seemed to be broken. Other than that it was great and we'd definitely go back.

Great service waitress wise.. but the Pulled pork sandwich was beyond dry.. had to put ketchup on it. just to give it flavor ..fries were nasty... small portion for the price...

If there was zero I'd put that. The fries were burnt and not crispy at all. The beans were very weird tasting and the pull pork sandwich was Mediocre at best. The barbecue sauce was a some what spicy, so if your someone that doesn't do spicy food watch out. They did not warn there was some spice to their sauce either.

Excellent service and the food was great! Hearty portions, amazing beans, and the brisket hash was out of this world, they even serve local bread....so good!

Quite a surprise finding such good barbecue this far up in the Kingdom, in a not-very-prosperous village. Menu is limited but food is excellent. Sometimes they run out of menu items early, but this affirms that their food is fresh. We go there regularly despite the 35 mile drive. Highly recommended.

Good food but only 2 - 3 tables were filled and service was very slow. As well it was around 1pm and pulled pork was not available (chef said "not ready yet"). How do you run out mid day Saturday? Food was very good and server was cordial. Bathroom was gross.
