Man, I really used to love this place. Top notch sandwiches. And amazing apps. But their service and lack of business hours make it impossible for us to go there. We loved to get take out on busy weeknights at least a couple of nights a month when my husband worked late. But now they close at 6, which is prime dinner time. On top of that, their message says they stop taking orders at 5:45. Called at 5:44, straight to voicemail. On top of that, the one time we could actually make their ridiculous hours, they were just randomly closed. Huge bummer but they’ve sadly lost a loyal patron of 10+ years.

Phone message said they stop taking phone orders at 5:45. I called at 5:37 and they didn’t answer. I thought maybe they were busy so I guess I’ll just go over and place my order there. I walk in at 5:43 and the place is empty. I asked them if I can place an order and they hesitate and say no at first, then they make me feel guilty as they say they’ll make it. Then after they say they’ll make the sandwich they rush through it without even putting any gloves on. If you’re going to agree to make food for someone, at least have the decency and respect to make it the way you normally do. If I had come any later I would have understood not wanting to take anymore orders that soon before closing, but showing up to place an order before their message says they stop taking phone orders? Making the customer feel guilty for ordering food is not the way to go.

First time trying it out. Nice menu selection, and we're very accommodating with customizing a sandwich.Bread is nothing special, but the turkey is great, the bacon was perfectly cooked, their selection of aiolis are refreshing and the dill pickles are delicious.All for a great price in a tough economy.Little out of the way for my but totally worth the trip, hope to be back soon.

Love it! The people are friendly and helpful and service is fantastic. The food is always delicious! The fries are literally the best! The one time they ever got my order wrong was when someone with the same name picked up, and it was early on in the pandemic when restaurants were still feeling out what they needed to do to make things work. They were quick to fix everything even after they had closed for the night, and they didn’t even charge me a penny for my order and removed the charge for the wrong order. Otherwise they have always gotten everything perfect when I order. Lastly, I love that they have a rewards program to get a free sandwich. They are definitely worth ordering from time and time again.

On our first trip there, they guaranteed we would be back again and again! The subs were fantastic and great quality (the shredded lettuce on any sub over leaf is the freaking best) and the nuggets were addictive as hell. Great stuff!

I used to go here ALL the time when I lived in Hinesburg. I Loved it! Then they started cutting back on meat in their sandwiches and made some menu changes. I just ordered a chicken Florentine and there was NOT enough chicken for every bite. Very disappointing for the price and expectation. I don’t want to bite into bread and mayo with bits of spinach. Flavor is point on! Please just add more meat and don’t be skimpy. Your sandwiches are the Bomb when made to please.

We have been longtime patrons of Paisley Hippo but in the last few weeks have experienced tanking quality in the sandwiches. Not only were the sandwiches from our visit today very sparse in ingredients, but the ingredients were almost inedible (we ended up throwing out half the sandwiches). The COVID precautions / general health safety seems to be lacking (ex. the cashier went over and picked up the bread and put it back from their rack with her bare hands and then went back to finish the transaction -- no hand washing. The sandwiches were also assembled without gloves, and no one was wearing masks). We would like to see this local business thrive but are not tempted to return anytime soon.

The Paisley Hippo is always good. Sometimes I try different things on the menu other than the Ragin Cajun (cuz it's so good) This particular time I tried The Cool Cuban. It was one of the best Cubans I've ever had! I also try to remember the great burgers they have to. The people are really friendly as well. Always a pleasure!

Best cheese steak in the state. I leave work in Milton to come here to eat before driving to Richford. It's well worth the trip.

I enjoy their food here and I know they're very busy throughout the day. It's a tad bit on the spendy side but you definitely get what you pay for and that is delicious food. If I could bottle up that Honey Mustard Aioli, I would. That sauce is the best thing I've ever dipped my fries into.

Love the daily made bread, several choices including ciabatta and sourdough. Excellent McKenzie's meats and cheeses and weekly sandwich specials always inspired by the creative sandwich builders. I've been enjoying this shop for several years. Make sure you bring cash as they do NOT accept credit.

This place has delicious deli subs made to order and really tasty, hamburgers, cheesesteaks, and French Fries, too. It's a great place for a family lunch, or take out. It's a deli though, not a restaurant, so they don't have table service or a quiet dinning area, so don't expect candlelight and cloth tablecloths.

A quintessential hoagie / hero spot! First time in and got a small fried chicken tender hoagie with lettuce and tomato (hot sauce, blue cheese, and pickles on the side). Chowed down in the parking lot. It was so good, I got a 2nd!!! (No tomatoes, double tenders) Fresh ingredients. Perfect bread (soft and chewy). The staff were dope too.

Bought lunch for clients in the area. Quality of the food is definitely good (sweet potato fries are highly recommended), though prices were a little higher than average (lunch for 2 was about $25). Staff on the phone and at the counter were efficient, but not terribly friendly (it isn't a requirement, but it makes the experience better). Give yourself enough time, they stay busy here.

This is the place to go! We got lunch for the whole crew at work and everyone loved it. Nice selection of sandwiches and burgers with fries to die for! Definitely recommend this to any of my friends and will be coming back for me!!!

Judging by the previous reviews & the pics of the restaurant, this place was decent pre-covid. I went last week and it's not nearly as clean as the pictures. There was random clutter over most of the tables. And like a few others said, they didn't wear gloves when prepping food??? That's not ok, especially not during a worldwide pandemic. The food wasn't worth it either :(

Sandwiches were decent. We tried the muffaletta and the buffalo chicken. The muffaleta was the favorite of the two, although I think we could have used a tad more olives and a little less mustard; the mustard overpowered the olives a bit. Overall though, very tasty.The buffalo chicken, however, could have used a bit more chicken. Just one small tender in the sandwich left you eating a lot of bites that were mostly just buffalo soaked bread with little bits of chicken. This one certainly could have used some improvement, namely significantly more chicken.

Ok. So the sandwich (Ragin' Cajun) was phenomenal, but even more impressive was the staff. Extremely kind and helpful. Went out of their way to make me happy, without even asking. Highly recommended, I'll be back!One downfall: they don't accept credit cards!

I moved to Las Vegas from Vermont about 4 years ago now and Paisley Hippo shop was one of my FAVORITE places to get a sammy. It’s always fresh and tasty. I came back to visit in June and just had to make sure I came back for turkey bacon wrap. It was as delicious as I remember. Anytime you bring up the Paisley Hippo, Vermonters give 2 thumbs up. 👍🏻 👍🏻
