The food is low quality at best, but sometimes I do crave high school cafeteria food again. The people on the phone and at the counter have zero customer service skills whatsoever. When my son wants pizza I cringe at the thought of having to deal with them. I have only dined in two times, both at filthy tables/benches where you have to track down your own silverware and napkins. If they could hire people that cared at all about the quality of the food being paid for or the general experience of their customers, that'd be fantastic. The following picture shows a "large" cheese pizza. The pizza is inches smaller than the large size box and also has a ring of 2-3" of no sauce or cheese. My 6 year old ate 3/4 of this and was still hungry. All for only $18....

I went to the house of pizza yesterday after a long day, I was starving. Me and my mom ordered Jalapeno poppers a meatball sub and eggplant Parm sandwich. We split everything, I will tell you after eating this food we were both sicker than we have ever been. We had a two hour drive home, during this drive we had to pull over 6 times to throw up. The girl at the counter was nice but it was counter order and then you could sit they didn't come to ask. Only had paper plates and plastic utensils. The whole thing was just not a great experience. I chose this place over positive pie because I like to support local and although positive pie is that they have more than just the one location. I will not be making that mistake again.

The BBQ pizza was not bad but don't order the poutine it's not so good. We got a 10 inch pizza, 6 mozzarella sticks and a poutine which costed us 27$. A bit pricey I would say.

When I first moved here the pizza was okay they no longer have an alternative to tomato sauce so I stopped eating there i can't have tomato sauce they had in the beginning then they just all of a sudden got rid of it when I did eat their the one thing I didn't like was how oily it was a vegetarian Pizza I don't think I should be able to grab a rag you put it on the pizza and it being trenched in oil me and my brother had one and we both said the same thing this is too oily my family still orders from there simply because they can have tomato sauce but a couple times been saying lately the pizza has been tasting not good the last time I actually ate there my pizza had a weird chemical taste they must have clean table right before and put my pizza on top of it I no longer eat there my family still eats there once in awhile but they always have bad experience I don't like this store the people in there are very rude they give you attitude if you ask little questions like if there's an alternative to tomato sauce but my family has been having bad experience rude customer service bad tasting sauce and pizza I'm seeing her pizza and it's been very oily even more oily than last time my brother says he doesn't like the sauce nor the cheese it's very cheap cheese are you paying a lot of money but this is the only place nearby in Hardwick that serves pizza

Food was great, service was excellent as well. The calzone I had this last time was especially good.Vegetarian options: There isn't a whole lot to choose from but there are a few different options.Parking: Located directly around the building. And in front.Kid-friendliness: High chairs and kid menus are available.Wheelchair accessibility: There are ramps for the doors and a handicapped accessible bathroom.

Never again will I order pizza or grinders . In the past it was great ! Seems now poeple just don't care what they serve. My pizza today was overcooked badly! The grinder was frozen meatballs ! And way way overpriced! What happened guys! Come on really!!!!.

Stopped by for an Italian and a Turkey Grinder. Solid sandwiches, held up well on the 20 min drive home. Courteous service. Satisfied my craving, I will definitely stop by again.

Absolutely love the food here! Best place for Grinders & pizza the crust is absolutely amazing! However wasn’t impressed that I watched a women make a small salad without gloves on didn’t even see her wash her hands after carrying in a pan with dough in it!Even if it wasn’t in the middle of Covid You work in the food industry you SHOULD BE WEARING GLOVES WHEN MAKING FOOD!...other then that place is absolutely amazing to eat at

Love the pizza here, however the ice cream stand is a rip-off. Expensive for how little ice cream you get. Also doesn't help that the staff doesn't know what they have for flavors or what's in them. They only have 10 flavors, it's not that difficult.

I have eaten from the house of pizza for more than 20 years and I have never been served a snack bar hamburger patty before not only did I get a snack bar hamburger patty I got nasty french fries and paid roughly $15 for the burger at the positive pie with a burger for around this price that is 8 oz of fresh local beef with nice homemade french fries why you think you can serve a snack bar burger patty and cheap bag french fries for like 15 bucks is beyond me please don't eat here you'll be disappointed

In the process of changing owners. Pizza was good. Wish I had realized theor calzones don't have ricotta in them. The only reason to order a calzone! No fountain sodas now and the bottled options are very limited. Not even root beer!

updated 5/22/2022The new ownership of the Hardwick House of Pizza is doing an excellent job with menu upgrades. The new pizza crust is awesome no matter what you put on top of it. The fresh made pizza dough is delicious. Prepared food is best when your cooks take pride in what they provide customers,it’s true here.

Prefer previous owners quality of ingredients. It's not at all a bad place to have lunch or take out. Yet, it's noticable however, the current management/ owners use ingredients in some of their dishes that are not of the same quality as the previous owners. An example would be the roast beef. It's fairly basic & sometimes a bit 'rubbery', esp. if it's not very thinly sliced.

This was just a "pass-through" stop for me. And I think HHOP shines that way. The pizza was ready quickly, great selection of toppings and house pizzas, a nice little variety of beers. It's hard to do a fair comparison... HHOP isn't competing with Piecasso in Stowe or Pizza Verita in Burlington. It's got its spot and it holds its own there. This is a great place to drop by if you're passing through town and want a good pie, a good beer, and a quick in-and-out visit. But it's probably not a destination restaurant for a typical foodie. My read would be that locals love it. But I can't say that for sure.

Their pizza is great, and love the subs & side dishes as well. The staff is always friendly and the service is excellent. Would definitely recommend. It's especially nice to get a good meal on these hot days when you don't feel like cooking.

The food tasted good. I feel 20 dollars for a BBQ chicken pizza is a little pricey. BBQ sauce, chicken, red onion, cheese. Can't be that expensive or hard to make. The older woman taking orders should retire. She means well, but screwed everything up. We got the buzzer for someone else's order. These other people were trying to say it was there's she kept telling them no. Then she finally gave it to them. What an experience.

Man I wish I lived closer! On a random trip this weekend I got hungry while driving around. I got a veggie grinder, which was great; the bread was fantastic and toasted just perfectly with melty cheese. Friendly service, too. Next time I'm back in Vermont I will make a special trip here.
