Tent campsites are quiet and private. Great place to kayak or enjoy the small beach. Tons of rail trails in the area to explore. Campsite was very well maintained. Fire pit was cleaned and area was raked clear of debris/leaves before I arrived. I’ll definitely enjoy going back there again!

I have been coming here every few years from Ontario, Canada and love it every time. We always stay in a lean-to, and always enjoy it. The waterfall nearby is a great swimming spot, and the beach is always easy to find and a great view.

Wonderful park with a few good RV sites. Even better great spots for those wanting a cabin. Most other sites were set up for tents. Epic rock formations. Very well managed park.

We stayed two nights in early September 2018. Easily found with google maps. Was greeted by a friendly staff member and shown how to get to our site. Arrived in the pitch black but was easy to find out site. Tent site #10.It was very quiet, everyone seems to be enjoying their own spot. You can see your neighbors but there is some room in between sites. Clean bathrooms and relatively clean showers. Out site hand a picnic table and fire ring with grate. We were a very short walk to the beach, where you could swim. Perfect spot to practice some night photography with minimal light pollution. Also had a fire going all night by the building attached to the bathrooms. They offered wood, ice and small things to buy if needed.*Note we had no cell service at our site. BUT we did on the beach. Ham radio worked fine for noaa weather updates.Definitely recommend staying here. Pricing would be the only slight negative, it is about average from what we have looked at. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful, peaceful, well-kept place, with knowledgeable, helpful staff. We stayed in the Devil Hill cabin, very private and right on the lake. Awaken to the cries of loons every morning... just be aware of bears!

A very nice state park for camping. Our site was a bit flooded from a brook running over, but we were able to build a dam with rocks and logs and it was a lot better the next day. The pond itself is gorgeous.

Beautiful quiet campground, no day use area. Lovely pond for swimming and paddling. Connects to the rail trail. Campers get free access to the other state parks with day use areas nearby.

Good old roughing awesome camping, family friendly near off the grid camping/ fishing. Good place to chill. But do not be a jerk. Jerks get yanked quick and Vermont does not make it cheap. So keep it respectful. Good fishing, good swimming, fair bird watching in shoulder seasons.

It is a beautiful pond for people of all ages and backgrounds to be able to recreate at. Swimming, fishing and possibly kayaks or canoes. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend bringing any sort of watercraft/boat, even though there is a public boat launch. At least one park employee believes that they control the entire body of water and are happy to ruin your fun by threatening to have you investigated by the police.Pretty sad, considering the boat was taking out inner city kids, experiencing boat rides for the first time.

Great, laid back campground. Great swimming and canoeing spot for families or small groups of friends. Most proactive staff I have ever met. Will come again. Access to several days worth of bike and hiking trails. Everything in Groton State Forest is easy to get to from this campground.

A quiet family friendly campground with a wide variety of campsites. The pond is perfect for canoeing, kayaking, and paddle boarding Be warned that the resident family of loons can make some very loud and very startling noises in the middle of the night.

What a beautiful getaway in the middle of nowhere! No traffic sounds, no planes flying overhead, just the sounds of nature, bullfrogs, loons, Birds. Unplugged from computers, phones and everything distracting. Inexpensive hot showers available (bring some quarters). Lots of clean water spigots suitable for drinking everywhere; the lean-to's are huge (my tent fit inside one) and have lots of privacy. Even if it had poured I would have stayed dry. Kayaking hiking , campfires and camaraderie. A definite A+ place. Oh, and no motor boats or jet skis allowed!!! Calm and quiet. And the lovely folks that work there could not have been nicer.

Very helpful and friendly staff! It was nice and quiet when I got there and my tent site had a small trail down to the water. (Bonus points for me!) Also clean and well maintained. I'll be back!

If you're not from Vermont I hope you plan on having no internet. No internet or ceulluar connection within at least 20-30 miles from the camp site. Very hard to find places to eat and to just get to places. Everything is within driving distance at least 30 miles to get food. No good places to eat. If you're a wilderness person and enjoy the beauty of life by all means enjoy! The employees was nice. Camp site was nice and the view is amazing. However, barley any showers and showers was dirty. The campsite was spacious, clean and welcoming.**Was very close to highway so you can hear cars @ night and you hear the loons for sure @ nights. They sound like wolves!**

We've brought our family to this campground year after year since our kids were quite little (even coming multiple times a year). My favorite things about the campground are: (1) Small size without the party atmosphere, (2) Quiet setting, (3) Nesting family of loons breaking the quiet, (4) Stuff for the kids to explore, (5) Water activities including swimming and canoes/kayaks, (6) Rail trail bike path.Recommended sites: 8 gets you right next to the swimmers beach (great when the kids were smaller), 2 has a "stone picnic table", any site on the 1-10 loop is close to the pavilion in case of rainy days, a combination of 22+23 or Spice Mountain Cabin + 21 would be great if you have a larger group or two families camping. Lots of good leantos on the north end, but I haven't stayed in them.

Great bike ride on the rail trail.5 miles from tip of Ticket to Kettle pond. Slight uphill the whole way but only about 420 ft of elevation.

Its okay. The pond is beautiful, staff is friendly. Try to be near the big hut with the fireplace; its a miracle on a rainy day!
