Stayed for 5 nights. Water alerts about algae bloom for most of it. My water loving husband didn't swim at all. They do have bubblers on the base of the lake so they are trying to deal with it. It would be nice if they had alternate programming to entertain people. One of the parks we were at this summer had nature talks multiple times a day. They have a nature center but I never saw it open. Best part of the park for me is how spread out it is. I was able to run 4 miles within the park easily and only had to add a little stretch on the road. Showers were hot and decent pressure

Had a marvelous 2 days camping out in the nature with my family and friend. We had a great time even though the second day rained all day. The weather was just perfect. The campground and the toilet were kept always clean.

Had an amazing weekend at Lake Carmi. We reserved a waterfront site which was gorgeous, clean, had great trees, and the facilities were close by. There are nice hiking trails, swimming, boat launch. There's also a day use area for parties and such. The maintenance staff were exceptionally prompt at cleaning each vacant site each day and the entire park was pristine. We'll definitely be coming back to Carmi again!

We had a pretty good time at LCSP. There are gates to keep registered campers and guests in and others out. That was something we hadn’t seen at a SP in VT to date. There are two camping areas, section A and B. Both are within walking distance and/or directly connect to the lake’s edge. Closest town to get food, gas, or supplies is Enosburg. It was roughly an hour drive from the Burlington area. There’s often Cyanobacteria in the water at LCSP, I recommend checking out the Cyano tracker map that VT offers. Use caution when allowing your children or pets near the water. Overall I give the experience 4 stars. There were fellow campers running their generator outside throughout both nights we stayed. Went on at 10pm, and off at 7 am. It wasn’t until later that I noticed the posted rules for hours you can run a generator. I didn’t want to be a male Karen and report them but that definitely took away from the experience and our quality of sleep. It was sort of busy at the campground when we went; maybe a bit busier than I expected or hoped for. Definitely worth checking this campground out but there are a few things to keep in mind for sure.Restrooms: There are really nice facilities here! Clean and bright.Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome but must be leashed mostly any time.Picnic area: Nice day use areas throughout the park.

Beautiful campground. Loved watching the sunset over the lake every night. There’s barely any service at the grounds but you’re camping so who cares! The water was warm for late August which was nice. Our tent site was partially exposed to the bathrooms which was a little annoying. Due to covid, the bathrooms are single occupancy only and could’ve been cleaned a little more often (as they do at other VT state parks) but overall we had great time! Campground is about an hour from Burlington & Stowe and 15 minutes from the Canadian border.

Part of the Vermont state parks, situated on one of the shallower lakes in Vermont (meaning it's always warmer), lake Carmi is a quiet park with beaches on each of it's two circles and a very large day beach which can be used by campers and visitors. If you get the chance to get a site on the water, there are spectacle sunrise and sunshine views. There are a few boats on the lake shared with private cottages but not enough for it to be a nuisance. I've been camping here for over 10 years and absolutely love this state park, hopefully you will fall in love with it too!!

Been there 3 years in a row now for vacation. Staff is very friendly, the place is well kept. It is a wonderful place to camp and it has good options where you have a little privacy.

Fantastic, dedicated, learned staff providing high-quality service, attention to detail, hard work, and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Well-kept grounds, clean sites, and few problems (dealt with deftly and with professionalism). A wonderful place to camp, roam, spend quality time. Highly, highly recommended. The reviewer who was negative about staff clearly was thinking about a different state park. Not possible they meant Lake Carmi.Dog-friendliness: Very welcoming to all dogs and their humans.

A nice campground with many sites near or on the water. Good privacy between sites. The washrooms were cleaned daily and seemed generally clean. Most of the people were quiet and respectful. It's 50 cents for a 5 minute shower which was long enough for me. Bugs chill out on the ceiling so just don't look up if you have an aversion! I just wish that quiet time started at 9pm rather than 10pm as many on the Saturday night I was there, took that as meaning that they could play music and could shout until 10pm.

Very relaxed effort in cleaning bathrooms! There was feces on wall for two days. Only cleaned when an attendant was told about it. Park guests go into bathrooms after attendants supposed to have cleaned/checked the facility, only to find rolls of toilet paper on the floor. This happened more than once. First night there, went into bathroom and found both sinks and shelves full of bugs! Haven't been to Park in three years, and not sure if I want to return or encourage anyone else to go.

I had the chance to go in low season just before winter and I have to say it's lovely, I wish I can go again in the future as I did not had the chance to explore the park

Nice lake and well kept park. The beach is wheelchair accessible with bathrooms and has picnic tables and bathrooms. You pay a fee at the gate which varies depending on your situation. If a resident of Vermont check your local library for free passes. Staff is friendly and helpful. Unless you have a wheelchair-friendly boat, fishing is inaccessible. You have to fish by the boat launch which is a very tiny dock. There is a small trail but you cannot reach the water in a wheelchair. There are also bathrooms at boat launch area.

This is a very nice state park with camping, swimming and trails for hiking. We camped and the camping spots have plenty of room between 'neighbors'. Everyone encountered were respectful and honored park rules. The park staff are incredibly kind and willing to go the extra mile to help.

The bathroom at the boat launch was dirty. Cobwebs, spiders, mouse signs, smelled terrible and just needed some love. Could have had more attention to the boat launch. Surprised there wasn't a greater or someone to control the kayaks so the actual boats could launch, also surprised that they didn't care about where my boat was last, but more about the 4 dollars to let me use the ramp. Next time I'll just drive to the other side and use the free ramp and porta-john, probably nicer.Restrooms: Dirty

We camped here overnight withour truck camper. Camp sites were generally level and well cared for. There were cement pads in the area we camped in near the water. The lake is not visible from the campsites as an impenetrable tree line/hedge cuts the view, but it also cuts the crazy winds coming off the lake. There was a camp store and young kids playground close by. There is a fairly extensive trail system for walking including trails thst run along the lake and provide views and cobbled beach access. Boat ramps and proper beach were available, I believe, but I did not visit them. Cabins are also available and look awesome from the outside. While we were camped in an open field, there are camp site loops set back into the woods more. These are further from the lake but since no sites that I saw have water view you are more likely to decide on where to camp based on whether you want son for wsrm or solar power, or you want to be in the cool shade. RVs tended to be in the field and tenters in the woods - not sure if that was a rule or just a trend.

This park is Huuuuuge! Very clean, awesome place. Never been to a state park like this b4. Camp Sites are very big.Recommend coming over prepared though if you are looking for basic things such as ICE! Not one place in town has ice. Apparently the supplier in that area is horrible. Soooo....if you find yourself in a pinch, head to West Enosburg Falls country store. Place has everything you need including ICE.ENJOY

This is our favorite campground in Franklin County, Vermont. The sites are wooded and spacious. We love the privacy they give us. There are ample bathroom facilities and separate camps for people who have dogs and those who don’t. There is a beach with kayaks and paddle boats to rent, and you can come for just the day. There is a boat launch for fishing as well. Memorial Day can get wild so be ready to have fun! It’s close to St. Albans and we go every summer. After camping across the US and Canada we like the price and facilities. Bathrooms with pay showers and a place to charge phones, but no power at sites. You won’t be disappointed!
