For such a remote/rural area, this grocery store is well stocked, clean, and has a surprising variety/diversity of goods compared to some other “local” options in neighboring towns. Fruit and vegetables are well maintained and the rotisserie chickens are always top notch.

Although close to my home. An associate mentioned a sale on peppers today. Surely my mistake. At 1.99 on a bell pepper. A little more than 4.00 a pound. I received half off on 6 peppers at 5.94. I would rather find a legitimate sale on these peppers and put 3/4 of a gallon of gas in my car. On a positive note, Quinn the cashier also thought the price had to be a.mistake. She was helpful during a challenging situation! Thank you Quinn. I tried calling to thank you.

It usually stinks in this place if you go in the evening but once you get used to it after a few minutes it's mildly tolerable. I went in tonight at about 5pm and it smelled like someone stuffed week old roadkill into the ventilation system. That is not an exaggeration. It was an all time new high of disgusting for the place. I wanted to get burgers and stood looking at the meat with that roadkill smell washing over me and couldn't do it. The stink of rotting meat and melting rancid fat and maggots. I thought I was going to be sick.If you can get past the horrible stink on most days they have what you need.

It smells like absolute death in this store! I walked in and figured it would go away after I get inside but no I couldn't handle it I had to leave I couldn't eat anything I purchased there if I tried!

The service in this place sucks, I had a cashier last week talking to her coworkers and ignoring me and literally crumpled up my receipt and handed it to me without looking at me. Best chicken tenders around though

It was a good place to shop. The grocery store had pretty much everything I was shopping for the day I was there. The only thing I would note was the huge stalks on the fresh broccoli. They turned out to be tender enough to eat after boiling so it was all goodm

My favorite place to shop because of the people who work there! The produce section is quite good, and the selection of groceries is, for the most part, very good. But the people who work thee are amazing! Rachel in seafood, Matt, Jess and Jenn in the deli, Nancy who shops for customers and the VERY pleasant lady in the produce area are just some of the great employees.

Have to watch when things are on sale they don't ring up for sale price, and they don't tell u. Everytime I go there they over charge for sale items. Have to go back in and deal with it. I was in line at service desk and there was 3 others that were over charged I was over charged by 20.00. I know times are tough but don't be dishonest. So check your receipt to make sure u get sale price cause the cashier will not tell u

Nice little store, here on vacation and was surprised they had some good gluten free bread. Produce looked nice, staff were helpful. I've been seeing reviews about people not wearing masks, but it looked like they were. These branch covidians are really getting kooky.

Average Shaws. Decent size for you to get whatever you need. They have beer and wine but no liquor. Ample parking. Not too busy on Saturday in December, but you can tell everyone was doing there shopping. Fair prices and good selection. Excellent location on a main road.

I question whether or not this store is following the proper CDC protocol it seemed very congested in the store. Store employees are not wearing their face masks as they should be, they're down below their nose. store employees aren't even following the arrows for the flow of traffic within the store. If you bring your own bags you must bag your own food. If you do not bring your bags you need to purchase your paper bags at $0.10 a piece and then they will bag for you. check out lines seem to be taking so much longer as people are having to pack their own food. Shelves seem to have very low stock today.

The front end staff is absolutely amazing. The prices are average. The meat department is absolutely horrible!! We have shopped here for years and can rarely buy we we go in for. If bone in pork chops are on sale they DO NOT ever carry them. They will have thin slivers and thick slices but not the regular, and the others are not the sale price. Went to the fish counter and waited several minutes with no customers ahead of us or at the deli. Deli/fish counter staff are almost always unfriendly at best.

Shopping this store is an exercise in discipline.- The sale prices frequently do not reflect at the register. Watch like a hawk and check your receipt.- Many times this is because they haven’t taken down the old sales sign.- Always, ALWAYS, check the expiration date. I have purchased year old spaghetti, and searched through cashews six months expired.- The Deli: Just don’t unless necessary. They don’t ask how you want your meat cut, and don’t show you the slice. It’s frequently cut uneven. They can’t do shaved meat.- Bagging: Unless you want your apples bruised and your tomatoes squashed at the bottom, bag your own groceries. Also need to specify not to mix raw meat with other goods.Edit: Changed my post to a 1 after almost feeding my husband something that expired in 3/29 of 2018!!!!!

Have to write a review because I just had the best customer service interaction I've had in a while with an employee named Nancy at the Fair Haven Shaw's!I placed an online pickup order (DriveUp & Go) but they were out of an item. Nancy called me, gave me a list of alternatives, and then we started talking chocolate! lol I'd ordered some Guittard chocolate chips and we were comparing the dark vs semisweet chips and Nancy gave me some great advice about mini chips & baking as well. She also left me a lovely note on my receipt.I know this doesn't sound like a lot, but a simple connection like this really made my day. It's also becoming rare to find people who reach out like this to make that connection.I know I'll be using the Shaw's pick-up service more in the future. Thank you, Nancy! I hope your holidays are as sweet as you are!-Donna

Good little shopping center. Gets really busy at times but for the most part the cashiers move people through at a good speed. I have only had one issue here and it was a long time ago and the manager took care of it right away. I would recommend shopping here. Just look out for the full parking lot.

The staff isn’t wearing masks even though the protocol is wear masks unless you’re vaccinated. Plenty of staff aren’t vaccinated (since they’re open and obnoxious about spreading their opinion), not very professional. Won’t be shopping here.

Uhhh. Out of many items advertised in sale flyer! No spiral Ham. I asked they said they didn't even get them in! Friendly associate called znother location. They were out too. Never received them. Also out of produce advertised. Sad I went out of my way...to end up buying something I didn't really want.

Friendly folks staffing the grocery store, well stocked, and a full variety of offerings. Quite a few local items.AND... right across the street is Mad Taco! (Great burritos, and they smoke their meat right there in the parking lot :) If you're at Shaw's, you probably already smell Mad Taco. Now you know from where the delicious aroma is coming! You're welcome :))

Just moved into the area. Thought I would give it a try. The cashier was friendly, was open and engaging. Produce was fresh looking. Everything was well stocked, Will definitely return. Great service.

Went to deli to buy a pound of ham. Asked for "paper thin". Clerk started cutting and didn't ask if slice was ok. I said it wasn't paper thin, she held up a slice and said that it was. Another customer agreed with the clerk. It was not how I wanted it sliced. I'm a daily customer who should not have been treated like that . I should be able to get it the way I want.

Hate this place. Isles are narrow. Hard to walk down when meeting other shoppers. Store puts display stands in the isles as well which makes them even smaller to walk through.

I was in line behind another shopper and the cashier decided to close his lane. He told us to go to another lane. The other lane I went to had a shopper bagging her own groceries. The cashier ended the transaction and just pushed the groceries toward the woman without a Thank you for bagging and started my order. She finished my order without a Thank you as I bagged my own order.
