Danielle (Manager) leaned her hip against the table to gossip with a customer checking out for so incredibly, incredibly long while I paitently waited to buy a heavy pile held in my hands. She didnt even begin to start checking the customer out for ages, while they gabbed & gossiped about Kinney employees, both women gushing about this 'hot guy they work with' that had just left the store. She only begin to start checking the customer out when I looked over suprised at this inconsiderate behavior. She then decided to completely stop checking the customer out again & resumed chitchatting in depth and at length with the other woman - and make me wait even longer, only now for Danielle to be displeased with me as she noticed I was becoming uncomfortable now, good god. I am disabled and it is hard for me to stand, much less hold items that I am expecting to be able to set down in a reasonable amount of time. I have never waited longer with only one single person "checking out" in front of me. In good faith I initially assumed she must be brand new, perhaps feeling pressured to gab, but then another employee called her over as Manager to help with a POS issue, and I couldnt beleive someone so (apparently deliberately) inconsiderate would treat another person as I was treated, and ignored. She was sadistic enough to have her "Yeah, Im the manager" moment at me - But really, that is just so sad. I have adored my locals Kinney's my entire life as I cherish the service, the product lines, and supporting the company as a Vermonter. This manager seemed to enjoy making me wait. If I was inconsiderate myself I would understand being treated less than stellar, but I was simply standing there minding my business, waiting. It was honestly, a little sadistic.

Besides the fact that the pharmacist Marie is probably the prettiest pharmacist I've ever seen. She was the friendliest. I've had a lot of pharmacist treat me bad. Either that or they're extremely rude. She made my day

The best pharmacy in the greater burlington area, hands down. no competition. These guys get what you need quickly, super friendly and kind techs. I've used every pharmacy in burlington, most pharmacies in winooski and essex, and this one takes the cake by a long shot

Easily the best pharmacy in town! They aren't just good because they have a couple good pharmacists, or fantastic pharmacy techs - they've been good for years and this is because the management and the leadership keeps attracting and retaining awesome staff! I've tried every pharmacy in town and there's no reason to look any further. From knowing my kids personally, to being patient with all of the last minute refill requests when I forget to do my part, to figuring out that a minor change to a prescription could save us tons of money due to a simple formulary mistake - it really feels like the neighborhood pharmacy we all want.

This Kinney drugs is very good, especially when it comes to pharmacy.The pharmacy staff is very knowledgeable, patient, clear. They will always go the extra mile to help you. I had to refill a prescription emergently and despite it being busy they had it done in an hour.Good and thorough consults.A word of warning. If you come mid day or during rush hour you will be waiting in line at the pharmacy. They only have so much staff.The front end staff are a little less friendly, seem unhappy, distracted. I'm sure that has more to do with management probably under paying them and treating them poorly. Unfortunately that is everywhere so I don't typically hold that against them.

The female pharmacist, Haley, has been the most unprofessional and mean person I have ever dealt with. She regularly declined filling my maintance medication despite my doctors calls into her. She claims that she has the right to refuse giving me my monthly maintenance even when it is a full day past the 30 days of my supply.Most recently today I brought a prescription in from my doctor and she waited for more than an hour to tell me she wasn't going to fill it because I picked up on a Friday last month and a 3 week prescription means it doesn't matter how many days have gone by just that i have to pick up on the day of the week I picked up on 3 weeks previous. When I brought in the documentation clearly stating that my 3 week prescription ran out 2 DAYS ago and her reply was that she told me no and that is how its going to be and told me to come back tomorrow. My Dr then called and she told him she would fill it for me tonight but strongly encourage him to tell me to take my business elsewhere if I can't adhere to Kinney Drugs policies. I drove back to the pharmacy 30 minutes after the call with my Dr and she made sure I waited another 45 minutes to fill my perscription.She needs to have her license stripped for continously and Inappropriately impending patient's treatment plan for solely personal reason.I will be calling Jim Condo, VT's Secretary of State tomorrow and fiing a formal complaint with the Office of Professional Regulations and will continue to do so until action is taken against her. I have been nothing but polite and professional the entire time i have used that pharmacy. Where she has done absolutely nothing that even resembles customer service. I am also going to Kinney Drugs the company and will complain and complain and provide them with recordings of the way she treated me and highlighted case notes where my psychologist, psychiatrist, and Substance abuse doctor have all recorded her lack of professionalism by speaking of my condition in such a loud voice the girl at checkout on the opposite side of the store commented on how messed up it is that the pharmacist treats me.She told me told that what she is doing to me , not filling my prescriptions because she doesn't feel I should have them, is kinney drugs policy and every other customer is fine with it and its only me that has a problem with her interfering with my treatment plan.

This is the most uncaring, unprofessional pharmacy . Im actually quite concerned with there treatment of patients. Ive been going here for years and recently it is tense. My doctor has been calling them to tell them to order my inhaler and other med i recently got prescribed. When i go in to pick it up they are all horsing aroind and playing flirtatious games. They then give me a dirty look like i disturbed them. I can tell when people dont like it when they dont want to work and have to. A blond pharmacist told my dr. And myself my antibiotics would be there on Monday. I showed up in Monday only for a male pharmacist to give me a attitude and tell me it wasnt ordered as its on back order. We already knew this and the other lady said she found some. This guy told me oh well and he cant help. On my way out i asked where is there my meds in vt? He looked it up and said newport vt. He said i would have to drive there. I went outside a.d called newport. They were the most helpful caring people at newport. The pharmacist shipped it to Cambridge for me and i went to get it. STAY AWAY FROM ESSEX KINNEYS THEY ENJOY MAKING IT HARD TO GET HELP! THEY DONT WANT TO CARE! FIRE THEM ALL!

The cashier I had was extremely arrogant and rude. She refused to respond when I said "good afternoon" and just sneered her lip and muttered profanity under her breath. I wasn't as much angry but profoundly embarrassed at the lack of self-awareness and immaturity.I don't think I'm coming back to this store or any Kinney for that matter. CVS and Rite Aid staff are far more helpful, courteous and professional.

I always went big box: rite aid, Walgreens, etc. But when Walgreens toppled (check out what we went thru on vtdigger.org), I finally gave kinneys my business and I wish i had years ago. Fast, friendly, and always helpful, I’ll stick with the last non-BB as long as they can manage. And all you cvs/wag fans, don’t complain when they go belly up - take it from someone who saw it firsthand.

I had similar experiences to Casey. They pick up and leave you on hold but not on hold, then hang up. They may or may not say anything when they do pick up the line after you let it ring forever. They may actually put you on hold which is complete silence and then disconnect the call. If you call back you will get one of these 3 scenarios. Just answer say you're busy and can you wait please. If I get picked up and hung up on I'm going to call right back assuming it was not on purpose. Addressing the caller and asking to hold avoids this . Still I'm switching because this is unacceptable behavior.

You should really put the pharmacy hours on here, we don't care when the store closes its more important to know when the pharmacy does. Your site/app I use all the time so I trusted you would have the correct information, I show up at 520pm on Sunday to get my anxiety medication and they are closed. THE PHARMACY CLOSES AT 5PM ON SUNDAYS NOT 6PM. I have nothing left for meds to get me through the night and I have really bad anxiety.

This store was horrible. We were in the store for about 5 minutes just looking around when a lady came up to us and asked if we were going to buy anything i asked if she had any incense sticks and immediately she said no and asked us to leave if we there was nothing else we were looking for, Very unprofessional and rude hope she get help!

Nice clean store with friendly staff. They have a fairly good sized pharmacy and I've never had trouble getting my prescriptions there. I alway enjoy supporting the smaller businesses in town. The pharmacy drive thru is very convenient, especially on those cold winter days!

If you are returning something always ask for the manager because I had a very unprofessional experience here When I returned a vitamin/ supplement the cashier processed the return and as soon as I walked away she turned to the cashier next to her and started talking about how she would never return and item like this and blah blah blah. Very unprofessional and rude the whole store could hear them. But other than that one girl the rest of the staff has never given me a problem for returning anything lol. A return policy is a return policy at the end of the day.
