Everything there is great! Food is top quality, prices are decent, and customer service is friendly. They usually let me go to the express lane even when I am over the limit. I just wish they brought back the Italian Roast Beef!

Don't bother trying to talk to someone while there. They ignore you. I was at self checkout. Had a giftcard to use. Never tried buying one as the sign says no buying giftcards etc. The lady came and said I had to go to a regular check out and as I stated that they should have a sign there to help people understand they can't use giftcards as a payment during self checkout, she blaintly ignored me and walked away. I will never go there again!

This isn't my usual Hannaford, but when I have an errand near by, I like to shop here. This store is newly renovated and looks fantastic! Went at noon today to do Thanksgiving prep. The parking lot was pretty full & a little crowded inside. Found everything on my list & went through check out in less than an hour. Thrilled to find my seasonal favorite Brigham's Peppermint Stick ice cream! Not many stores in Chittenden County sell it. Thank you Hannaford!! Happy Thanksgiving to all!!

The manager here cornered my 15 year old daughter while her and I were eating lunch (that we bought at the Hannaford) and threatened us with removal because his employees wanted to smoke cigarettes on their break in the picnic table area by the pharmacy... Very threatening and aggressive with the way he scared my daughter

Great produce department and I enjoy the sushi here. Very good beer selection. Can get a big crowded at popular times but overall it's a nice place to grocery shop.2023 update: Still a great place to shop, though I usually use their excellent to-go grocery pick-up these days!

Update, I'm done with this store, it's terrible.............. Produce quality has gone down hill over the years. Considering the area served you would expect better. Fresh lettuce is rarely available and when it is it looks terrible. Often item locations in produce are empty. Variety is not great. The Shelburne road location has much better quality and selection.

Produce section was well stocked and everything seemed really fresh. Other sections (aisles) had many half empty shelves, possibly due to supply issues.Short staffed at the registers, with a short line at the self checkout and supervisor helping at checkout.

Peak customer service. I must say I am quite the introvert and prefer it when no one talks to me at the grocery store and there employees did a nice job of that! Tired of going to this store and then not having basic items. Today, very little fruit, no bananas, no bell peppers, the creamers and alternative dairy products are never consistently stocked. Never mini bagels in stock. Our OJ of choice, again, not in stock. Ever since this store remodeled a few years back product is inconsistent. Had a list of 7 simple items. 5 not available. All available at The Price Chopper down the road. My new go to store.

Fantastic store!! Great selection, a lot of options, spacious store, well stocked, wonderful fresh food! We do not live in Essex but it is well worth the drive for us since we can always find everything on our list and then some.

All of your standard departments plus more. Sushi, stir fry, prepared foods and more. Salad bar was great before the covid. Pharmacy also has a large selection of personal care products.Well staffed, so you don't have to search for someone when you need help.Employees are great!Self checkout is handy.I only wish they sold my favorite cheap Canadian beer so I would stop by more often.

No complains against the store. It’s no different than your typical grocery store. Organized, clean, and well-put together.However, I do have an issue with one of the store’s employees. I believe his name is, “Doug,” he is typically seen at the cash register in the evenings. He consistently apologizes and makes a scene with customers making people feel a bit uncomfortable as they’re just trying to carry on with their day.Otherwise, I have no other concerns regarding this Hannaford’s. Until this issue is sorted out, I’ll be shopping elsewhere.

Changed my review from 4 stars to 1 after a very rude interaction I had today at checkout!! The boy working had the audacity to to tell me, "don't forget to ring up your bag too" I was completely taken aback at first and didn't even comprehend what he was talking about because it was so left filed and when I said, "what?" He again proceeded to tell me not forget to ring up my reusable bag. He was assuming I wasn't going to pay for it & felt the need to give me a reminder like a 5yo. I was so offended. First off, I ALWAYS pay for my reusable bags IF I am purchasing a new one; however what if it was one I brought with me that I had already purchased at a previous time?? I am so disappointed in that kind of treatment and I think someone needs to be RETRAINED how to handle customers and not treat them like 5yo kids who need reminders. You don't ASSUME someone is not going to ring up their bag. And you don't assume it isn't one they brought with them!! Pretty rude!! I have been shopping at this Hannaford for many, many years and I don't appreciate being treated that way.

Definitely my favorite grocer when I visit VT! They cater for all and the staff have always been incredibly friendly and helpful. It’s also good to know that they strictly card for alcoholic and tobacco purchases. There is also a selection of freshly baked goods available with various fresh produce to pick from.

This has to be the worst Hannafords that the brand currently owns as it never has fresh produce after 5pm, fish counter is usually shut down at 5, if there is anything in the meat section, you are lucky. The store is so bad, I can't believe I am wasting two seconds to write a review. I would say this store needs to be shut down and I encourage folks looking to shop to go to any other store possible. I am happy to provide alternative recommendations to spare you the frustration of this Hannafords.

Alisa is always helpful and courteous whenever a coupon doesn’t ring up as expected or something is the wrong price … I pay attention to the small things and appreciate that Alisa takes the time to get things right! She deserves a raise for sure!!

Good food, decent selection, reasonable prices, helpful employees. Of the chain supermarkets operating locally, Hannaford has the best combination of quality, price and service. Produce could be better at times, but is of acceptable quality. The store carries a good selection of decently-priced grocery items and they have also been adding more gluten-free items. A responsive "customer-centric" store.

I've been to this Hannaford several times on really busy Sundays. Don't let the long line at the cash register fool you, it moves very quickly. each Hannaford seems to have a slightly different method for handling lines, and this one makes it very smooth and efficient. All the employees seem very friendly.

This review is just for Josh, who appears to be Team Leader during the evenings.#1: My buddy and I were stuck at checkout waiting for our IDs to be checked, and homeboy Douglas (the cashier) was unable to summon the required support. After about 10 minutes Josh happened to see us from a distance, clearly in supermarket-related distress. He gave me a small discount on the goods and apologized in a very sincere way.#2: It was 9:55pm on a Sunday. I had just ridden my bicycle to Hannaford to get something for dinner. Unfortunately the front door was locked. I called Customer Service - I thought y'all close at 10pm?It was Josh. He listened to my plight and kindly let me in to quickly grab what I needed. A little kindness goes a long way. Josh went above and beyond with a smile on his face. Kid's going places.

It’s a Hannaford. The best thing here is the car chargers blocked by pickup trucks because petro-masculinity is fragile. It has groceries, teenagers, Karen’s and beer. It’s exactly what you’d expect and middle management will never be able to improve it despite their best efforts. In the collapse of society people will fight for toilet paper here and for their misinformed views of the world.
