We are staying at the Inn now. Great location for seasonal skiing, hiking and mountain biking.Hosts are lovely. We booked the suite. Is super spacious with large kitchen. They also have a communal kitchen and laundry.Nearby activities: Skiing hiking mountain bikingFood & drinks: Several casual eateries, great coffee and fun pubs breakfast places in walking distance along with 1-2 fancier spots. Outdoor eating na food trucks in summer. A little challenging off season if you are vegan but can be done.

12 law school friends and partners rented out the Inn for four nights for an informal 10 year reunion and had the best time. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with a great modern farmhouse vibe. The owners have put a lot of work into the Inn, so every time we visit (getting towards triple digits) there is some new renovation or update. The grounds are stunning and we were content spending a lot of time at the property. The location also can’t be beat - right off the trails, walking distance to town with food, rentals, etc. We love it every time we visit!

My family absolutely loved our stay here along with a few other families for a mountain biking weekend. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. It was clean, offered amenities like washer and dryer, bike racks, fire pit, fully equipped kitchen…. We also loved being across the street from the fantastic cafe lotti and being in the heart of the high street. Every room felt very private but had the option of enjoy multiple common spaces. I would highly recommend a stay at The Village Inn

We stayed at the Village Inn for 3 nights in early August. Absolutely fantastic experience. Cozy rooms, great location in town, loved the Sloshie Shed bar next door, the creek and fire pit at the back of the property. We were there for a big friend reunion, and it couldn't have been better. The staff at Village Inn went above and beyond to make sure that our group had an incredible stay. Thank you! We definitely hope to be back!

The Village Inn is the perfect place to stay for visits to East Burke and the NEK. A great base for exploring the Kingdom Trails or a ski trip to Burke Mountain, this tidy inn has many different room options and amenities that make it ideal for couples, families, groups, and even solo travelers. I've stayed here three times (twice in room 3 and once in room 7) and have loved each of my stays. The beds are incredibly comfy, the kitchen is clean and inviting, and the innkeepers and owners are always welcoming. The amenities can't be beat with the dedicated bike storage room, hot tub, outdoor dining seating options, and peaceful brook with firepits. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

We couldn't be more excited to have discovered The Village Inn in Burke.We stayed for almost a full week during May to get away and ride some bikes. We rented the farmhouse for our stay and it was the perfect space to us to really settle in for the week.Mariah and team have truly done a fantastic job with the place. The rooms are outstanding, the vibe is right on point and they have everything you need to soak up the gravy of East Burke, VA while staying in the heart of it all.We can't wait to go back in the fall.

Staying at the Village Inn was SO GREAT! I came to cross country ski and the location was SO close to the Kingdom Trails! I also did a little skiing at Burke Mountain, which was minutes away. I had never been to the area before, but a friend had recommended it to me and I will DEFINITELY be back. NOTABLY, The Innkeepers were AMAZING-they were very knowledgeable about the area and everything was clean and organized. I highly recommend the Village Inn!!!!

Can’t say enough good things about my weekend stay at The Village Inn! This was my first time skiing Burke Mountain, which was just five minutes up the road. Started my day with a delicious breakfast from the charming cafe across the street (though the inn also has a great guest kitchen), skied all day, and the returned to the inn for a soak in the hot tub and a good night’s sleep. The rooms are spacious, beds are super comfy, and the owners are friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of nice little touches, like USB charging ports on the bed stands. Have already booked another winter weekend and can’t wait to come back in the summer to ride Kingdom Trails!

The stay at the Village Inn exceeded all expectations! A large group of us stayed in the Farmhouse and it was such a cozy space but provided enough room for 8/9 of us to hang out. The kitchen is well stocked to cook meals and the patio overlooking the vines and creek is extremely lovely. Staff were very accommodating to show us around and share where all the extra bathrooms were. The location is great as it is a stone's throw from a great coffee shop and on the weekends there is a lovely bakery. After long days of apple picking, hiking, brewery-ing or visiting Stowe, the Farmhouse was the best place to come back to and unwind. Creating a fire for s'mores by the creek was the perfect wind down. I would definitely recommend the Inn for anyone looking for a comfy, cozy, fall getaway!

We spent the most amazing weekend at the Village Inn with "friends that are family" this past weekend! Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived!! Mariah and Cam welcomed us with open arms... the best hosts!! Our room was absolutely perfect... super clean and comfortable! The babbling river and firepits behind the Inn are the most magical places! During the day, we mountain biked on the Kingdom Trails.... very "doable" for us beginners, and incredibly beautiful! After the day on the trails, we enjoyed the Sloshie Shed on Saturday night at the Inn... wood-fired pizza and "Sloshies!" I highly recommend the "Robert Frostie" but the "Bernie Cranders" was a close second, for sure!!

My recent stay at the Village Inn was AMAZING! The location next to Burke Mountain was ideal for skiing, just minutes away. The Northeast Kingdom isn't a place I had been before, but I will definitely be back.The proximity to the Kingdom Trails for Cross-Country skiing and Fat Tire Biking was ideal. The VAST network is literally right across the street! The Innkeepers were terrific! A perfect place for a winter getaway!

Stayed at the Village Inn to mountain bike at Kingdom Trails. The room was fantastic, super clean and the bed was unbelievably comfortable! Had a restful night's sleep after a full day of biking. Enjoyed the hot tub at the end of the day to soak the tired legs and the bike room was vert convenient and safe. Right downtown and close to everything. Will be staying here again. We are returning for our second trip to the Kingdom trails and staying again at the Village inn at East Burke. We thoroughly enjoyed our first stay. The inn is equipped with a huge bike storage room, repair stand, bike wash station - everything we needed. The rooms are comfortable and we made use of great outdoor bbq while there is also a fully equipped kitchen. Make sure to take a dip in the Jacuzzi after a long ride. Breakfast was a highlight and perfect start to the days riding.

The Village Inn is absolutely one of the nicest places we've stayed. We went there with a group to do some cycling, which you access right out the front door. The rooms/decor/atmosphere of the Inn are so inviting and well maintained. Such a great place to get out for the day and come back to relax.The owners are the best. They made sure we had everything we needed, including info on the area, but also gave us plenty of space to enjoy and relax.They also have a really cool bar/pub onsite they call the Sloshie Shed. They serve up a variety of beverages, including their adult versions of slushies, as well as some awesome hand-spun, brick oven pizza. Couldn't ask for a better way to end a long day of activities.

The Village Inn in East Burke is a dream! I really cannot put into words how wonderful this place is! Not only is the Inn itself cozy and charming with amazingly hospitable and friendly staff, but the town itself is full of activities come winter or summer. From snow skiing at Burke Mountain in the winter to hiking at Lake Willoughby in the summer and biking the incredible trails nearby, Burke is an adventurers' playground whether you are an amateur or an expert. I cannot recommend The Village Inn enough for your stay with family, friends, or a solo getaway. You will leave feeling recharged and renewed as you reconnect with the beautiful nature that Vermont has to offer.P.S. The jacuzzi was perfect after a long day of skiing and making s'mores by the bonfire made me relive my childhood days at summer camp all over again!Thank you for an amazing stay and I am looking forward to planning my next trip. Thanks for making my stay so special!

First visit to Kingdom Trails and we couldn't be happier with our choice to stay at The Village Inn. We booked the property's Farmhouse Near, a standalone house just a few steps from the main Inn, right in the heart of town, which is equally close to the trails, restaurants, and perhaps the most important, post-ride ice cream.We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor lounge space, but most important to us was the very well-appointed kitchen. With a high-end gas stove at its heart and all the cutlery, utensils, cook and dishware we needed to prepare, serve and enjoy a few family-style meals, we were right at home at The Village Inn.An evening night cap at the riverside firepit was the perfect way to end the day.We purchased an annual pass for Kingdom Trails and plan to make The Village Inn our home-base for our visit.

We had a great ski weekend at Burke Mountain and the Inn was the perfect basecamp for the trip. It was super conveniently located and made a great jumping off point, not just for the resort, but also for all the great nordic trails in the area. The rooms were cozy, staff was awesome and the hot tub was perfect way to end each day. We already made summer reservations to come back and explore the hiking trails around Lake Willoughby!

Just the most fantastic location for everything that I wanted to do in East Burke. The hot tub, the bike storage, the tools in the basement, and those comfortable beds allowed me to enjoy every second of this place. Also, the proximity to the trails, the best cafe in town, and the local bars are hard to beat. I parked my car and walked or biked everywhere for the next 4 days. Thanks for having me!

Bring your winter hiking gear and skis because the Village Inn is the perfect place to stay if you want easy access to the great skiing at Burke Mountain and hiking at Lake Willoughby. The comfy rooms at the Inn are great for relaxing after a fun day of outdoor activities.

The overall experience is great! The many amenities given the reasonable price can't be beat. Indoors you have access to a kitchen, sitting room, and bike storage room. There is even an accessible shower that can be used after you've checked out. Outdoors there is a hot tub, a large seating area with table and patio area with chairs. There is also an area setup to sit around a fire next to the stream at the back of the property. You can even camp in the lawn for a lower rate than staying in a room. The rooms are well appointed and the beds are comfortable. I highly recommend staying here for a mountain biking trip.

The Village Inn is a fabulous location for a family gathering, weekend retreat or special party. We attended a party there and it was amazing. The grounds are gorgeous with an outdoor fire pit by the river, gorgeous patios and a terrific location for all the fun outdoor activities in East Burke. The Innkeepers are fabulous and knowledgable of hiking and biking trails. A true gem!
