What a great and unexpected surprise. Think Country Store with sandwich/food counter and small wine shop; all rolled up in one!Enjoyed talking wine with the owner and his selections (for the size of place) were not only diverse but also best prices I have seen, anywhere (usually small town stores charge MORE than big box stores but not here)! We decided to get lunch from here because the owner mentioned their special that day was a "Cuban"....being in Vermont; I was suspicious....but it was really really good! My wife had another special that was like "Autumn in a sandwich". Great selections in the store too

Had to go for the woman I work for. Got a soup and sandwich for myself. Some days my job has some great perks. The clam chowder was great. The turkey had a hint of thyme or sage. Not sure but the turkey was delicious. Nice and friendly service from all the staff.

The Dorset Union Store is a charming place with a curated selection of quality goods. Their deli provided food for my small backyard wedding of 10 guests. The owner was a pleasure to work with and beyond accommodating in planning a menu to meet everybody's dietary needs. Each bite of food was delicious. My family was fighting for leftovers!

What a wonderful find. Pulled up just after the store had closed.They graciously let me come in when I said I needed a bottle of wine for dinner. Old country store vibe. Nicely stocked wine selection to be able to pick from. Left with fresh baked pie and ice cream for desert. Well worth the stop if your near Dorset.

This is not a story I’m proud of...we bought one of your apple pies again this past weekend. My son threw out some crust and a bit of apple portion because he was full after dinner. After I kicked him out of the house, I retrieved it and ate it. It’s that good. Again, not something I’m proud of, but your baked goods are that amazing. I love this store. So glad you’re open again.

This place is a must-visit whether you live in Vermont or are vacationing from out-of-State! I recommend you arrive early in the morning to pick up some of their awesome baked goods- their scones are to die for!Grab a delicious cup of coffee to go along with your baked goodie browse through their wonderful selection of gourmet snacks, VT gifts and select a souvenir perhaps in their huge wine cove. Then head over to their famous deli section where you can order scrumptious hot and cold deli sandwiches and gourmet salads to take on a hike or enjoy out front at one of the picnic tables on the Dorset Green.Many of their deli items, which change daily by the way, also make excellent dinners (think salmon, pot stickers, orzo salad, vegetarian dishes...). There’s even a sizable freezer section with gourmet dinner items!In the summer time soft serve ice cream, along with iced coffee, are some of the best sellers.Our family has traveled extensively and lived in different corners of the world. The Dorset Union Store ranks top for us!

Definitely go here. We love the Dorset Reuben, curried chicken salad; their deli case is filled with lots of variety...not to mention all the fresh dessert choices. Lots of beers, snacks, sundries, fresh Rupert Rising breads too. If you cannot find something here that you like, then you're just not hungry.

Great general store. Has a little of everything, including baked goods, prepared foods, and a variety of beers and wines on top of the snacks and groceries you'd expect. Highly recommend stopping in here when in Dorset.

I really want to love this place because the people are so nice. But it is just so absolutely overpriced that I can’t believe it. It’s definitely not somewhere where we locals can shop regularly. I’ve lived in some expensive cities and I have to say that the store is right up there. Maybe it caters more to tourists as far as pricing.But I would say the prices in the area are just getting out of control in every way.

Lunch on the lawn with sandwiches from the Dorset Union Store has become an end of summer family tradition. Delicious healthy sandwiches, brown rice salads and scrumptious homemade cookies plucked from glass cookie jars ... precious family time.

Loved this grocery store we stopped on our bikes for coffee and cake We sat outside and it was beautiful and very friendly too. The lemon and blueberry cake was devine!
