(Dog owner). My first google review: Bob is a nice guy and good with dogs, I have been taking my dogs to him for years and years. The past couple of years, however, he has totally "checked out"; which is understandable as he's been doing this for a long time, but this has grown increasingly frustrating, disappointing, and dangerous. I would go as far as to say malpractice. My dogs haven't ever had any heath issues so to be honest it hasn't really affected us.Recently, one of my dogs has developed severe health issues and I have found Bob to be extremely inconsistent in his assessments and diagnoses (saying one thing and then another on the phone or the next time I see him). He kind of just spews vet jokes and wants to chit chat, he doesn't really LOOK at the dog. Nor does he listen to me or my family members, because he is arrogantly already assuming he knows what the issue is or what you are going to say before you say it.Overall he has been consistently unthorough and overly confident in himself which has led to many, many mistakes.Possibly the most frustrating- he doesn't take the time to know your dog- this has resulted in him failing to make many connections (that I had even pointed out to him on several different occasions) that could have prevented what is going on with my dog now which is now life threatening.There is hardly (if at all) ANY guidance about your pet's follow up/aftercare. They focus on prescribing pills. The staff in the office has always, always been less than helpful and more than unfriendly- in my opinion, they're in the wrong business.Long story short, I do like Bob, but I think he has "checked out", therefore, I do not recommend anyone taking their pet to Aeolus at this time. Not trying to put the guy out of business, I think he means well, but I do hope he has the humility, knowledge, and decency to know that needs to hire a more attentive/fresher vet to work with him.

I can’t say enough GOOD things about Dr. Bob! Sunday night… and I had an emergency with my dog. He was quick to respond, kind in being patient with me as I was in a bit of a panic, and truly helped out more than he knows!Thank you very much Dr. Bob!! 10/10!

We are TX transplants who recently moved to upstate NY, unknowing that 24hr clinics are turning away customers and regular offices aren’t accepting new clients. In a desperate attempt to help our dog we reached out to Aeolus, willing to drive an hour and a half to get our dog the help he needs. We were connected to the emergency line - a man answered the phone (11/11 10:47PM). After I explained what’s going on he said, “you’re calling me at 10:00 to tell me this?” I was honestly dumbfounded. I said yes, and explained my failed efforts to find help. He asked “why didn’t I call the Latham clinic.” I explained to him that I already had, and again, they would not see us. He then told me he can’t help me right now and to call back during business hours. I honestly hope anyone at Aeolus can go back and listen to the call because this man clearly did not want to be there. He could have said, no I’m so sorry we’re short staffed, we can’t help right now - but he was really rude and acted as if I was out of line for being willing to go to any length to help my dog. I would be seriously concerned for the level of care this man actually wants to bring to your pet. He made sure we understood he was not looking to offer a smidgen of basic courtesy to a pet owner.

I adopted a young, paralyzed cat with some urine scalding. I went through various products recommended by other vets and rescuers to remedy the wounds before I met Dr. Bob and he gave me the correct products/advice. Having my cat’s wounds healed in a matter of days after weeks of stressing has been such a relief and I’m very grateful.

Bella is a chi every vet makes the same comment what a sweet heart. When she needed eye pressure taken the tech comes out and recommends that I muzzle her next time. When asked about a surgery she needs done and ask Heather at the desk hangs up on me not allowing me to leave messages for doctor. Real concern on what goes behind closed doors. This place has been signing prescription for two years with out seeing my chi. I was having her pressure taken by another and much reliable vet but didn’t like having mail delivery. I kept it going as long as they kept signing the prescription luckily I m a good mom and follow through with her exams. But this is not good or quality practice. Please really review other more qualified and professional animal hospitals

First of all, I don't usually write reviews and secondly, they did not request that I did but I felt compelled to. We were camping in Arlington when we noticed our dog had a hot spot and was limping. We wanted to get him seen as soon as possible. We called a few nearby veteranarians who were all booked. Aeolus was able to fit us in the same day. We were so impressed with the care and they were very reasonable. Dr. Bob even called the next morning to check on our dog. We hope we don't have to visit them again while camping, but we are glad to have found them in case! Thank you Dr. Bob and the Aeolus staff for the excellent care you gave Radley!

I first met Aeolus and Dr. Bob when my daughter brought her young Brittany Spaniel for surgery on her hind leg. I was so impressed with Dr. Bob's knowledge and professionalism that I brought my 10-year old Brittany to him for his opinion regarding a large fatty deposit. My experience was as I expected: professional and friendly. I will be pursuing treatment with Dr. Bob.

I first called and spoke to Gwen who made an appointment for my sick puppy the very next day. I then called late at night in a panic because my puppy was very ill. Dr. Kyle promptly called me back and calmly talked me through the process of getting through the night. Throughout the next three days I interacted with many (all? lol) employees at this facility. Every person was calm, kind, knowledgeable, and professional. I would recommend to anyone with a pet. Thank you for saving my dog!

They take great care of our personal pup, and are fantastic with walking us through vaccinations, and answering all the questions we throw at them in regards to our kennel pack. Super friendly, super knowledgeable, helpful, and all around a great choice for your pets!

I'm literally holding my childhood cat in my arms as she's dieing. I called to have her seen but unfortunately because of financial hardships, I can't afford to have her seen apparently. AAH has worked with me financial in the past, but not now? The lady over the phone was anything but considerate, especially in light of the situation I explained. I've been a customer of this establishment for years. Great service, until today. Today is the last day I'll ever consider aeolus animal hospital.

Fantastic! Old school vet which is to say pragmatic, fair, thorough, no nonsense. Dr Bob is an amazing vet with near perfect bedside manner and surgical technique. Yet he explains everything in a very understandable way, and is loving and kind to all his patients. The office staff are the same, just remarkable people and top quality affordable Care for your pets. Professional, friendly, what a great find.

Our dog had an altercation with another dog while we were visiting Vermont. Since it was evening we called the emergency number at Aeolus. Dr Bob gave us first aid instructions which alleviated the bleeding and we felt comfortable waiting the night vs making an emergency visit that night. The following morning Dr. Bob called at 8 am to check status and we decided to make an office visit. All went well and a few surgical staples later we were out the door. Cost for the whole experience very reasonable. Thanks Dr. Bob!

My dog had an unfortunate run in with a porcupine late Saturday night. Even though we were not regular patients, Bob opened up for us on Sunday morning, was excellent, reassuring and efficient. Gave our dog a sedative, and then was able to reverse it so he could come home with us. Cost was reasonable given the amazing service. We will be back, hopefully without a snout full of quills.

Our cat Scottie had to be hospitalized for many days, the staff and vets were amazing. They cared for him in a loving professional manner. The hospital was beautifully clean and I have no hesitation recommending and using them.

Dr. Bob is a hero! My dog likes him, and that's saying a lot! She's usually terrified and we have to drag her in to a vet! She seems to trust Dr. Bob! He recently removed a large lipoma and did an excellent job!

I trust Aeolus 100%. Dr. Bob took care of my horse Bee, who lived to be 46, for years. Recently my dog, Frida, needed anesthesia for a procedure, a thing that always scares me, yet I had complete confidence that she'd be handled with care. The procedure with Dr. Kyle went great and we were well looked after when it was over, too. I look forward to years of care ahead for all my four-legged friends. Thanks!!

I called to make an appointment to get my dog’s rabies vaccine and heartworm test and meds. The woman who answered rattled off a number of other vaccines I should get as well. I explained to her I have limited income, and my dog is older and primarily indoors and does not interact with other dogs. She then told me, without knowing anything about my dog that she probably already has Lyme Disease and if she does she would not need that vaccine. I asked if I could come in for what I asked for or if I would be pressured for all other vaccines. To this she replied “we have plenty of patients, you don’t need to come here.” I find it distressing they would discourage people from at least getting the legally required rabies vaccine.

These guys are amazing. Honestly!! Emergency surgery on a sunday night for my injured pup. Was expecting a 4 figure bill. Ended up being 1/3 of that even with follow up and sedation!Plus you can tell they really care. I wont be going anywhere else.

These guys are fantastic. My house burnt down, and I lost all of my paperwork for my dog. Needed to board because I couldn't take the dog to the hotel, they gave the dog all the shots that he might need while he was there, and boarded him for a week and was beyond reasonable with price

Wonderful vet AND animal boarding. We have used Aeolus for vet care and for animal boarding. They are great; so helpful and friendly.
