First time stopping, glad I did what a great BLT. $4.99 could feed two people! The salad/lunch bar looked real good and prices were right. Meat counter had me drueling also, I can see why the parking lot is full at lunch.

Stopped in on our way home from skiing for a coffee and breakfast sandwich and spent over $100. They had a great meat case (real butcher) with great prices. They had local fresh ground coffee beans, all kinds of delicious baked goods, fresh baked bread, maple syrup and a great wine selection. If they don't have it you don't need it. They also had many heat and eat selections.

Friendly and helpful staff, surprisingly great veg and fruit choices for a small market! I really like their butcher/deli offerings in the back, more so than the bigger grocery stores.

Lovely small grocery with a surprisingly large selection of items so no need to go to a huge chain. I found many international items I needed as well as 8 ounce jam jars! Prices are excellent and staff helpful. They even carry a good assortment of wine!!

Great little supermarket with specialty items you would not expect to find in a country store. Chinese sauces and noodles, Thai noodles & seasoning variety was incredible and plenty of Italian style sesonings. Wines galore and even lactose free milk and ive cream. Fresh salad fixings and cooked meals if that is what you want. I recommend you stop and check it out.

For a local small town grocery Smitty's is pretty good. They've got a respectable selection of grocery basics - meat, dairy, eggs, produce, cereal, canned stuff - and a small gluten-free and dairy-free selection as well. I haven't had any of their prepared food but I know they also sell sandwiches, salads, and soups made in their back kitchen. In the very back of the store are wine and spirits, but I don't drink so again I can't attest to quality.

Their grinders from the deli are a "must have"! Each one made deliciously consistent each time. HUGE, and I mean huge, selection of beer and wine. Lonnie supports local egg producers by offering a good, central location to sell them. Farm fresh eggs are unbeatable. The store is always neat and the staff are incredibly nice and helpful.

Smitty's is definitely the local spot for a great sandwich. You can tell that they take pride in their kitchen. Wine and beer selection is good. Only one less than perfect interaction, so still 5 stars because they are consistently very good.

This is listed as a “convenience store.” It is far more than that. It is a small, family-run grocery store. For it’s size, the selection is remarkable. They have added a variety of organic foods, specialty foods (especially locally-produced goods) and produce. They have extensive beer and wine selection. Their deli sandwiches are high quality and loaded with ingredients. Their butcher shop is the go-to shop for the area - especially their marinated steak tips and country slab bacon. They do special orders of roasts/hams etc at holiday time. I find myself doing more and more shopping here rather than driving 15 minutes to a larger grocery store. Their prices are competitive and lower for some things.

A GEM!!!! Stopped here on a locals reccomendation. it is a nice store with more then just grocery. They have prepared meals, deli sandwiches to order which were delicious, wine 7 beer also available along with a butcher. We Will Be back

I'm giving this a whopping "five-stars-in-category" - which is to say that in its class, there is no rival.What's the class, you ask?It's the "expert butcher, knowledgeable wine sales, fantastic deli offerings, solid village grocer, charming ambiance & staff" class.Lisai's was my go-to market for the three years in idyllic Chester. There was no reason to buy meats elsewhere, and the produce was fantastic and conveniently accessible. Back in the day, this also served as the local video-rental store!Anyone driving by this gem, located adjacent to the train station, would do well to treat themselves to the Lisai's experience.
