Jillian is amazing! She took the MOST beautiful pics of our senior dog. She came prepared with yummy treats and was able to get shots that I didn't think were possible (since our girl is partially blind/deaf). We have had a couple small holiday shoots with her as well and she always gets a magical shot. So glad to have these precious memories and I highly recommend Gone to the Dogs Photography to any & every pet parent!UPDATE: We have had several sessions with Jillian over the last 4 years and every time, she turns madness into magic! My dog has been progressively difficult with her advanced age (now 17y/o with great difficulty seeing and hearing) and I can't express how grateful I am to have these gorgeous photos of my special girl. The 1st photo is from our first shoot in 2020 and the 2nd photo is from our most recent shoot in 2024. The other photos happened in between.

Jillian is amazing! She goes above and beyond with her flexibility, patience and creativity on the day of the photo shoot. She was able to handle taking photos of my beautiful senior soul dog along with our young wild dog. It was quite the scene but she stay focused and had a great attitude! Then she created the most perfect photo package for us of spectacular editing and presents with memories to last a lifetime. We will cherish them forever. So thrilled with Jillian’s work! I wanted pictures of my two senior dogs, one of whom was sick with cancer and the other terrified of the entire world. Jillian was able move us up in her schedule to accommodate my unwell shepherd and was so patient and caring throughout. She even managed to get a bunch of great photos of my anxiety ridden Akita-pit. Jillian met us in Middlebury for a session with our 17 year old dog, sammy. Despite Sammy being deaf and having doggy dementia, Jillian found ways to get his attention, and even get him to pose! She sent us about 30 images once her editing was done, and these are some of our favorites.Since this was a session for Sammy due to his age, we thought that this would be a melancholy or sad experience. But Jillian made us feel so happy to have this opportunity and we are planning on scheduling some time with her with our new puppy once he is fully grown. :)

I’m forever grateful for meeting Jillian. I reached out to her in the middle of the night in an exquisitely raw place (after a very tough visit to the vet), and she arranged a photo shoot within days. She is a gifted professional and a tremendous human being. I personally think the pictures speak for themselves, but Jillian is an incredible photographer. The pictures truly blew me away and she was so great to work with. We had to reschedule a few times due to weather and she was super accommodating. So special to have such nice pictures!! I really wanted one of Jill's famed silhouette photos of my dog, and even on a cloudy day she made the magic happen. Can't say enough good things about my experience with Jillian! My dog is quite old, deaf & blind and she was so sweet, patient & accommodating. Jillian's photo session with my two dogs was so much fun! Despite a freezing cold day, I didn't want it to be over. And Jillian was great to work with. She drove half an hour and hiked through deep snow to photograph our dogs in our favorite place. And the results were terrific! UPDATE: I booked Jillian again to have photos taken of my bestie as she's getting closer to the end of her life. I cannot stress enough how lovely it is to work with Gone to the Dogs Photography. Jillian was just as professional and caring as I remember her being a year ago. Jillian is a gift to Vermont and I would (and have) recommend her to anyone who wants to capture their furry friends before they're gone.I used Gone to the Dogs to have my 13-year-old mutts pictures taken. My dog is generally quite anxious and doesn't love strangers, but Jillian must have some magic touch, because my dog wanted to be her best friend before she was even out of the vehicle. Jillian was very professional, answered all my questions and was super patient with my dog. I intend to have my dogs photos taken again in the future and would absolutely use Gone to the Dogs photography again.

Jillian is the best. She came out to our area to capture our very awkward husky. She made us all feel comfortable and she is a pro at reading dogs. We were amazed at the shots she got. We met Jillian thru an online promotion she was doing to benefit a local rescue group. We made a small donation to All Breed Rescue, and in turn, we received a mini session with Jillian, including 3 pictures. We set a time, date and confirmation details via email. What followed was nothing less than professional, and always pleasantly skillful.When a storm altered our session, Jillian gladly rescheduled and even did a sunrise session- our favorite time of day! Ahead of time, we completed all the required paperwork and gave her tips on how to work with our 2-year-old English Mastiff. On that morning, she welcomed our Dougie with open arms, like an old friend. She guided us and Dougie with clear direction and maintained Dougie’s attention in an environment that was definitively over-stimulating. She was open-minded and creative with the venue, capturing playful,lakeside-meets-downtown, urban pics. Best yet, our giant and gentle goofball looked so natural, and at ease. We wrapped up, and it felt like we were all friends. Jillian literally had Dougie eating out of her hands and she never complained about the drool that came with that! She let us know it could be 2 weeks before images were ready, but we were happily surprised when we received the link to the online gallery 3 days later. Jillian had prepared for us the most stunning and natural pics of our big beautiful guy, beyond imaginable! There were action, stills and playful pics, all capturing Dougie perfectly! To our delight, she offered additional pics for purchase. Since then, we have received so much joy from this professional pictures of Dougie, sharing them with family and friends.
