The shelves were empty. A lot of the popular products were sold out and this target already has a very limited selection compared to other targets. Even the grocery section didn’t have much. Also the prices are way too expensive, it’s much better to just take a ferry and go to the target in Plattsburgh.

I’m begging y’all to remodel. This is the worst target I’ve been in. It’s hard to move around with all the boxes. It’s certainly not ADA accessible.Edit: 1/6 - I swear it’s getting worse. The boxes are everywhere and are slowly taking over the store. Seriously, management must do something about it.

Usually love target. The worst target I have ever been to. It was dirty. At 9 pm trying to get customers to leave although the close at 10 pm. Change room was closed at 630 pm , so could not try clothes on and lived far away so it was necessary. Employee came over was snarky with us and although we weren’t rude under her breath as she walked away called us stupid abd swore at us because we hit the help us button. Closed all self serve cashes and only had one cash open , looked like they did this so they could leave quicker at 10 pm. The line up to pay was 20 people deep. There security employee was rude as well

Worst target I've ever been to. Like worse than some of the worst walmarts I've seen in the south. Whole swaths of shelves are empty, shelf after shelf, aisle after aisle. Groups of 2 and 3 employees standing around and talking in different spots towards the back of the store. I at fist thought maybe corporate isn't sending this store the goods to stock the shelves, as on the day I visited there weren't many boxes out for stocking, but seeing that others complain about the boxes being everywhere, and employees standing around, what gives? I read reviews of the store before coming, so I knew it could be bad but, the internet being the internet, I thought surely it's not that bad. Guys, it really kinda is that bad. I honestly don't know why or how this store stays open.

This store is 100% empty, they seem to NOT care about restocking at all...Shocking, worse than the height of COViD!! Target Stockholders should be GREATLY worried.

Never have had a good experience at this Target, it's much more worth it to hop on the ferry and go to plattsburgh. Better selection and the staff aren't nearly as rude there. I have yet to meet a team member at this Target that has not treated me like I'm subhuman. Not a good look, Target. Especially when you make the consumer pay the difference between the markups in your stores just to hire a bunch of rude people to treat shoppers like they are worthless.

Rebecca, one of the store managers was extra helpful with finding what I was looking for. Bought the new Google Home Nest speaker. They ring you up for the "fancy" stuff at a different register. The store was clean, the shelves were well stocked and everyone was super friendly.

If you’ve been to a Target anywhere else then this location will be a total letdown. Never have what I go for in stock, laughable seasonal “section”, and overall disappointment. I keep going thinking it’ll be different the next time but I give up. It’s way too small of a footprint for a proper Target.

We came for a particular kind of stuffed animal, unfortunately they weren't out yet. The employee Nicole still took the time to check all the boxes and the warehouse. Very good service. 👍

What’s going on with this place? Shelves completely empty, bunch of hangars and items on the floor. Never seen a Target in this condition. Much better off going to Plattsburgh if you have the choice.

This targets pretty good, but as it is Vermont, it's definitely not a huge one, so some selections are limited. There is a small starbucks in it, it's attached to a cozy mall, and though more limited than others, it still has a decent selection of items! The only issues I have with it is that the area above self-checkout / the entrance to the mall has had a huge area of missing ceiling tiles for well over a year now. It's a bit odd and creepy lol. That and the toy & lego section is frequently understocked whenever I go there, but I imagine there's not much they can do about that. So if you're really set on finding a specific toy or Lego set, I would suggest that you check if it's in stock online before making the trip.

It's a Target and I'm glad to have one around here because they have good prices on many things a family needs. To the people endlessly complaining about the space, this is what VT legislation made Target do, fit into an existing storefront. Blame yourselves, not them, and move on.

Smallest target I’ve been in but they squeezed into a existing building in the mall, in a college town. I am thankful we have one here though. Pick up order is always right, they run out of items but the app is up to date. Only once did I arrive to a sign taped on the slots letting me know I had to come in side to pick up my order. No biggie. Thankful for the communication. Thankful for a mix of clothing, groceries, a quick starbucks drink( although the line can be long at peak shopping times like weekends).

Worst target I’ve ever been in. Completely disorganized, shelves entirely empty and boxes everywhere. They never ever have anything I am looking for, they were even out of toilet paper the other day. Never had an experience like this. This target needs some serious overhaul by corporate.

There literally wasn’t a cashier. Not in the entire target. No stock on shelves, but plenty on pallets with wrapping next to the shelves. If you want to know what a target will look like after an apocalypse this is the place to show you.

It's the worst Target I've been in. The small size means it can get crowded with people and stock. Also the limited stock leads to empty shelves. In the electronics department, almost everything is locked up but no employees in the area. The decline of Burlington doesn't help either.

Don’t ever go here on a Monday morning, it looks like a tornado went through it. Shelves empty and it’s a picked over mess. This Target is far too small for this area and the emptiness of shelves is proof. It’s such decent stuff and a great price. As a mom, it’s my go to. Staff is always friendly and helpful. I hope they either expand or build a bigger one in addition to this location.

Don’t ever trust their online inventory, it is never accurate. Don’t bother shopping in store because as other reviews explain, their shelves won’t be stocked. The story is tiny and the little space they have won’t be utilized. This has to be one of the worst Targets in the country.

The store has a variety of things for you, for your family and also groceries and the prices are the best in town. Excelente customer service and people from Canada love to shop there.

Omg I thought people were over exagerating about this place but it was by far the worse Target I have ever been to and I don't complain much about these things. The shelves were beyond empty. Small and not worth it. Honestly I could have dealt with it being smaller than most IF their was actual stock on the shelves to buy. Avoid.

Good sized target with interior Starbucks. Only wish the customers would be more courteous and not trash the clothing section.

This tiny Target was an absolute disaster! Merchandise thrown all over the floor in the aisles. More empty shelves than I have ever seen in a store that wasn’t in the process of going out of business. Layout is horrible, especially around the check out areas. Starbucks was shut down in the middle of the day on the weekend. Probably a staffing issue. Bathrooms were filthy. Corporate really needs to step in and revamp this location! I love Target, but this particular store reminded me of a dingy old Kmart that’s being liquidated.

The employee working on Saturday July 1st around 8pm refused to accept my return item without a receipt but, on the website the policy mentions I can still return without a bill but, instead of a cash return I can receive a gift card. I had the item in its original box, ID ect.. she mentioned something about a limit for returns without a bill.. it made no sense as I'm from Canada and rarely get the chance to come down the states to make returns. Never had this issue before. Very disappointed with the customer service.

Rude AND slow employees. I was waiting at the bathroom (waiting for my friend and sister). This employee stood near me and kept watching me. I asked, is there a problem? He said why are you standing there? I said, I’m waiting for someone… He stayed there for a few more minutes watching me until I pretended to be on the phone… and he then left!? Maybe thought I was stealing or planning some diabolical plan, lmao. And then at the cashier, RUDE employees!? Feel like you’re bothering them when you ask a question. Also, Holy, the cashiers are SLOW. No rush. Maybe in training but there were lines everywhere.Love Target, but Burlington VT was 👎🏼

I was able to go in for the few things I needed and shop quickly, unfortunately they didn't have 2 of the 5 things I needed

So this was only my second time in a target store ever, due to being physically disabled and needing electric carts,I didn't know if target had them. My first time in there I got one and was very satisfied with my whole trip. But this time there was an electric cart at the entrance and I thought I was set. Well the cart was fully dead in battery. I asked if there were more and was told that's their only one for the entire store and would have to wait for it to charge or just try to walk. So I had to go wait in the car yet again for my family to shop. Very discouraging.

It's Target, so yay! However, this is a tiny store, really wish it was a full sized store. Not a great move to go to these smaller stores on Targets front.

I was excited that VT has a Target but was very disappointed with the mess and customer service.I shopped in this store on Monday June 27, 2022 and walked out with nothing but a Starbucks coffee. In MD, the two Targets I go to are very well kept and the people working there are friendly and helpful. Target is one of my favorite stores! This Target had clothing on the floor. Shelves and tables in the department store area were messy with what little they had in stock. Workers were chatting it up with each other. You feel like you are bothering them just being there, let alone asking a question. A lot of standing around talking. They also are not wearing red shirts and khaki pants, so they are harder to spot. They wear all shades of red shirts, from orange to burgundy, and jeans. They look like customers who have stopped shopping to talk with each other. Meanwhile, boxes of inventory sit there on handcarts. I did see one lady working in the bra and underwear department. She looked unhappy but was stocking the area.We went to the Llbean store next. It was the exact opposite. Excellent customer service. Clean, organized & tidy store. Workers were helpful and friendly. No clothing on the floor or in piles on tables.Maybe the VT Target should have Llbean train their staff?*I did not visit the grocery. So I can not review that area of this Target.

Targets in my experience have usually been better than any local Walmart. This is not that place. This is the worst Target I've been to. If you remember Kmarts, not in their prime, but in their decaying years, this is reminiscent of that. Except without the Kmart prices. My biggest two beefs with this place are that it clearly takes advantage of the college aged students nearby, both for labor and for jacking up prices. The second problem being the people who (I'm assuming based on age) are management and NOT in college, are 9 times out of 10 the worst people to have to deal with. The prices are easily 10-20% higher on nearly everything than you can find at the local Walmart, an exit down from here. It's pretty consistent on raising the prices of anything from bedding, utensils, kitchen appliances, and dishes. You know, the things a college student tends to need. Considering they're one of the few places within walking distance, they take full advantage of that fact, rather than giving them a break as they literally buy these things for themselves for the first time. I've seen things like an air fryer go for up to 40% more than you can get it literally anywhere else. And if you run into a problem with something scanning wrong, or using their price match system to attempt to fix this? Hoo-boy, enjoy talking to the slowest and angriest management ever. You can't convince me they don't do it on purpose, since they ask you "are you SURE you want to do this?" like, "You want me to waste 30 minutes of your time so you can save $30?". Like, are you serious? Why does it take that long? Why are you, personally, so mad about it, do you own stock in the company? The store is mostly in order and clean. The food selection is bare minimum, but can supply stuff in a pinch. The clothes section is usually constantly under reorganization, but they carry only the most bland outfits without much personality or color (they did have a Pride setup during the summer months that was pretty good). Their winter selection is not sufficient for Vermont winters either.Overall, go here as a last resort. Take the bus to Walmart for whatever you can. They've got stickier floors, but your money will go further and you won't feel like they don't want you there
