My senior dog went there and instead of automatically suggesting euthanasia, they did blood work and helped figure out the prob. After she passed, I brought my new puppies there and they filled me with all the info I jeeded.. them with the care they jeered and now at year old, the other attention they need!

This is hands down the best vet in the area. I've never met a more caring and compassionate group.We recently had to put our beloved 17 year old cat Noonie to sleep. We had never used their services before and knew that we didn't want Noonie to have any stress on her final day so we opted to have a mobile service which they offer.Susan came to our home and explained every step before proceeding, never rushed us, and really let us know that it was time. Her gentle nature with our old girl was truly a blessing.As awful as that day was Susan made it somehow easier for us. We will never forget the love that was shown to us on that day.We were using another vet in the area but have now brought our new pet friend Grady to the clinic and he was made to feel like a superstar. We will now be using ONE clinic for our pets from here on out.

Would rate 0 stars if possible. Not only are the staff rude as hell, but the veterinarian is as well. I would imagine a licensed provider would be respectful, but that is NOT the case. If you have an appointment with Carey Childs CANCEL RIGHT AWAY!

Not really impressed anymore. Inflexible schedule, rude person answering the phone, and generally not worth it anymore. Go to another vet, old North end cant even do their own testing in house. Plus a rude person making appointments? Yeah, I'm done. These people will NEVER touch my animals again. This afternoon 12 years having them as my exclusive vet.DONE.

I have been taking my pets here for around 15 years and there is no one I trust more to care for my animals than ONE Vet Clinic. They are so practical with their care and keep costs low for their clients. They take time to listen and get to know their 4 legged patients well in order to provide them with the best care. Although they are not full service they have resources for their clients in case the animal needs more care than what they can provide at the Clinic. I had Dr McMillan come to my house when it was time to say good bye to my dear sweet cat who was in active renal failure. It was a traumatic experience watching my sweet girl decline, but the support I was shown during the ordeal is something I will never forget. She went peacefully at home. Days later I received a card from them offering condolences with the most heartfelt and sincere message, and also a donation to the Humane Society was given in her name. No-frills, experienced, practical, compassionate, and kind...this is The Old North End Vet Clinic!

The staff is very caring and knowledgeable. They want and will do what's best for your pet. Plus, they offer ideas and advice, if you can't afford a variety of services. This vet clinic offers services to low income pet caretakers (as if we could actually "own" our animals!). Outstanding people! They accept cash, checks and credit/debit cards. Note: they will pass along to you the credit card fee. It's posted and they will tell you, too, before they swipe it. I've been to vets who are good with the animals and terrible with the people. I've also experienced service the other way. Here, everyone at the clinic is good with both the animals and people. I highly recommend them!

I really love this neighborhood oriented veterinarian! They really worked hard to accommodate my needs and the needs of my pet. They took a lot of time to make sure that my animal was well taken care of. I will definitely continue to use them for Primary Care of my four-legged family members!

When I adopted my cat a few years back - I brought her to the ONE Vet Clinic for a check-up simply because of location (they're just a few blocks away); I could not have asked for a nicer, more helpful, clinic and will continue bring her there for as long as I possibly can. You can tell they genuinely care for animals - and they're very tolerable of my grumpy cat who doesn't like vet visits. They did an amazing job working with me on solving the problem of a flea allergy about a year back; despite what seemed like our near constant visits. If you're able to get in (last time I checked they were booked solid) - I'd highly recommend them.

In the last 9 years i have moved many times with my dog and so i have seen a fair number of vets and Old North End is by far the absolute best. They are smart, kind, incredibly patient with both difficult animals and their difficult humans. They truly are passionate about what they do, they listen to the whole story and give exceptional care. & in addition to some of the best most considerate care we have had, they are non judgemental (i say this because when my dog was 5 i became a mom and then had a series of very challenging life events and my dog went from being my princess to it being hard to upkeep her as well as i should as a dog owner and they have never made me feel badly about that...only been suppprtive) respectful and affordable.

The most caring veterinarian I've encountered. Maybe it's because Dr McMillan makes house calls through Vet to Pet for animals that can't do office visits, but I appreciate this office like no other. Helped my very difficult cat for years.

Dr. McMilan’s approach to vet medicine is always in tune with the animals needs and the conversations are always open and informative. I would rate this place as a negative after what I saw happen. A woman crying holding her pet begging the vet for a minute of her time to look at her pet, only to get the door slammed in her face, literally. I'm appalled it was heartbreaking to watch

Dr. McMillan and her staff are wonderful. We have used both home visit and office visit services, and our dogs come and go from there with their tails wagging happily. Vets are all wonderful people, and Dr. McMillan has an extra special way with animals. She understands how we feel about our dogs, that they are family, and we feel like she loves them as much as we do.

I seldom write reviews but I have to in this case. I always thought that Susan is the best vet I ever had, and I'm 67 years old so I've had a few in my travels, but two recent incidents solidified that belief. I'll skip all the circumstances but I recently had to go to two other vets, One for a surgical consult and the other for the spaying of a new rescue dog that I adopted and the agency was paying for it so I went where they sent me.The first place seemed to be a high volume surgical center. The vet I saw was nice, personable, and not at all helpful. It seemed as if I were talking to a textbook. There was no humanizing the data that he was giving me. It was too formal and there was no warmth there. Then again I've been spoiled by Susan.The second place was truly an assembly line. I dropped my dog off in the AM where a tech took her and listened to my concerns. When I returned after work, the line was out the door with people picking up their animals. Two techs/administrative staff (?) were helping us and I have no complaint as to the wait. The tech took as much time with me as I needed and told me everything that was on all the papers that I was given. But when I asked her about an antibiotic I was given for my dog's eyes (one of the concerns I mentioned in the AM) she said it was for an eye infection, probably bacterial (DUH, maybe THAT'S why an antibiotic was prescribed). At no time was I given the opportunity to talk to an actual vet. In fact I never even saw one.walk by I'm sure that I could have talked to one if I asked, but it didn't seem as if that was part of the plan. I asked a couple of other questions of the tech, got canned answers, so I left.So if you read the other reviews you'll find that Susan (or Liz) will meet with you and treat your pet like a member of your family. She will give you her undivided attention because she knows what your pet means to you. She will make sure you understand what you need to understand and demonstrate that she really cares for you and your pet. I never felt like a client there but like a friend. Even my dog that was nicknamed Cujo by those who tried to separate us was like a cuddle bunny with her. She is a saint. That's not to say that Crystal, the tech, will never come in to draw blood or call with results or Becky, the BIG BOSS (she runs the office and has to herd the others) won't call you likewise, but they will never be the only contact you have unless you are doing something simple like picking up meds.. And they, too, are all great.You can't go wrong putting your loved pet in their hands. You won't regret it.

No one ever picks up the phone. It is almost impossible to schedule a visit because you can't get anyone to answer the phone. The service is great.

I had a visit from this vet a year and a half ago for my dog. When I didn’t receive a bill in the mail afterwards I called to give my card info over the phone and thought everything was settled. I just received a bill in the mail for the visit from a year and a half ago that I already took care of over the phone. have tried calling but haven’t been able to get ahold of anyone. Very frustrating experience :/

Terrible. They told my elderly mother the price for putting her cat down and when my mother got the bill it was 3 times what they originally said it would cost and proceeded to treat my grieving mother that had just lost her 17 year old cat, like a theif when she only had enough money to pay what they originally told her. Will never go back or recommend to anyone
