Hannaford Grocery Store located in South Burlington, Vermont is a very good grocery store. Everything is very clean. They have a very good selection. Everything is well stocked. The prices are fair. The employees are very nice. We recommend this grocery store. Plenty of free parking.

Absolutely love this store, meat department stands out! Very well maintained store.However most of older front end staff look and act miserable. Maybe time for a change or retraining in customer service; Customer service isn't for everyone and changes over the years on demand some times. Some position changes after many many years with a company isn't a bad thing.Would be a 5 but them few kill the check out experience.

This seems to me to be the most reasonable store that I shop in, even though we all see everything is still on the incline. I do shop at another grocery store that's cheaper on some things and especially necessary essentials.The staff are always courteous and helpful, I like going in the evening because it's less busy and hectic.They have fresh meats, produce that's more reasonable than PC. I know they don't have as big of a variety there but most things are less expensive, it is possible to an extent.I also enjoy the Rewards I receive with coupons always online too, I've saved on generic items and have also received money off my entire bill due to rewards. All I can say is try it for yourself and see what you think !

Happy with this store! It's got pretty much everything I need & want. Local goods are clearly labeled. The deli, bakery, and butcher are solid. Produce is fresh and varied. Probably the most pleasant self-checkout service I've experienced at any store. The staffed checkout lanes are friendly and efficient. Everything's clean, and most of the carts roll smoothly & quietly. Parking is perfectly adequate with plenty of room to maneuver. Getting in and out of the lot is easy due to the multiple exits (at least two of which have stoplights).While I'd like a touch more variety with produce (e.g. I'm used to a wider selection of peppers), I get it's a seasonal & regional thing. Also, the fresh cider from Champlain Orchards goes fast. If you see some, grab it while it's still available :)

Nice clean store. The prices tend to be good, without having to clip coupons. I often need to go to a second store though because they won’t have one or two of the items I need ( they don’t sell Brown Cow Yogurt, last time I was there I got the last package of ground pork, they don’t have any all natural tortillas, there was a particular jarred pepper I couldn’t find,…). They do have a very large pharmacy/ toiletry selection, lots of cereal, a good produce section, lots of frozen food, a large bakery and cheese section, large deli, a good selection of international food, and lots of canned and boxed items. Overall, it’s a decent store.

An adequate grocery store. There are some perplexing shortages/gaps (like cold cuts...good luck finding roast beef, for example) but also better than average offerings (e.g., Asian foods section). One pet peeve, the deli kitchen used to make these stuffed calzone things in the shape of a slice of pizza in several flavors and they were reasonably priced and a good amount of food. I am often looking for something easy to eat after work and they were a go-to. But they stopped making them and replaced them with some mass-produced brand, cheaper quality, more expensive, less variety calzones. Why do that?

This review is specifically for the deli department. I went today at 4:30 to order some chicken and pick up some pasta. Not only was the pasta molded I was told no one could cook the chicken for me. I’ve came a few times before for this and each time I had no issue. It’s really upsetting when you just need a quick meal for you family and you’re met with this. Unacceptable!

Empty shelves at 4pm. Deli and olive bar closed at 3:45. How are people who work supposed to shop? Too many Hannaford to go carts, not enough staff to check out or assist.

Hannaford on Dorset st by the mall has a discontinuation on some beer in shopping carts by the ice cream. I got me some cheap. Miller 6 bucks a six pack bottles .la batts Budweiser bottles natural ice 15 pack was 9 dollars an other kind too check it out .

Hannaford's Supermarket over on Shelburne Road is the closest to me. I walked into vegetables section and was really impressed on their set-up. Having fruits and vegetables together and just beyond that the meat section makes your mind think what can go together for a healthy dinner for your family. I spent a lot of time in the meat section choosing on my cuts of meat which was beef, pork and chicken but I was more impressed with the prices that were going along with them.Hannaford's Supermarket is my very first time to really do my grocery shopping and clearly won't be my last.I have been to Price Chopper-Market 32 and Shaw's Supermarket and the amount of groceries I bought on Monday 10/2/23 would have been clearly at least a $100 dollars more or even more than that.The staff is very friendly and helpful in finding items throughout their store.I really do believe I will be doing ALL my grocery shopping over at Hannaford's Supermarket for now on because I like to save money.

Slow, never in stock, poor customer service.Hannaford to go is a mess here. Their online check in intermittently goes out apparently but they don’t let their customers know, so you’ll sit and wait for your groceries for 20 minutes and they still don’t bring it out to you. We called and the lady that answered our phone was dismissive and rude when we asked about our groceries.Also they almost always do substitutions but they charge you extra for the substitutions instead of matching the price you added to your cart like other grocery pick up services do. Very disappointed in this Hannaford.

I had an excellent experience here today! I needed some extra help today because I cannot reach the top shelf and a young woman stocking in the aisle went and got a step stool so she could reach it for me.The front end staff are always friendly. I forgot to put my rewards number in today because I was busy chatting with the very friendly Ann (cashier). Jenn at the CS desk very kindly helped me by refunding and re-ringing the groceries I had coupons for.Hannaford has a pretty generous return policy and I’ve never had any problems there! Thanks to all for the great experience!

The store was well stocked with a variety of food and products and fresh produce. The store was clean and the associates were polite, courteous, helpful and friendly. Everyone provided excellent customer service. I will continue to shop here while I am in the area.

It's a gigantic store, which I don't love. But most people seem to like it, so there you go. It's clean, well-stocked, and the Hannaford brand name foods are still reasonably priced. I find their pharmacy people very pleasant and efficient.

New building, and for the most part good staff. However the deli is NEVER staffed when most people go shopping. IE: after work. They never cut corned beef. When I asked the dark haired, bespectacled manager when the deli is open. All I got was attitude. "Just like everyone else we are short staffed" BS there are always employees standing around.

Great location with easy access off 189/pine street. Awesome selection of preportioned salmon/ pork/ steak dinner dishes prepared in store. Otherwise just a clean, well staffed grocery store with the usual offerings.

I try to avoid this place but if you're a resident of Burlington you have to shop somewhere . . This store is clean , and well stocked. Unfortunately in my experience you occasionally have to watch people walk right out with full carts of groceries. It's like they know the authorities are too short staffed to respond in time . .

My favorite grocery store. Great selection, fair prices(everything since covid has gone up), friendly staff and great pharmacy. I drive the 30 minutes to Burlington to shop here 2x a month rather than my local store which is 9nly 10-15 min away because of the better options and prices.

Grocery store chain that has it own product brand. You need to be selective and know your prices. I shop for the sales mostly. But my girlfriend prefers this store over the competition. Use your own judgment

My favorite supermarket in Burlington: affordable prices and excellent quality of groceries in general. It is never crowded, and staff is very helpful. Would highly recommend!
