Nice store. Good selection. It is always nice to find high-quality groceries nowadays. The produce selection is lacking in some ways but it has a good selection of products otherwise. The staff is reserved but not rude and the store is placed somewhat conveniently albeit slightly hard to get to. Overall a good experience.

Such a delight! The selection and organization is at least as good as that big chain that Bezos owns now, and the employees are more friendly and relaxed, which makes sense since it’s a co-op. Honestly the vibe was so nice I would go out of my way to get whatever I needed here!

I go there to buy organic vegetables. They have the best fish market in Chittenden County. My problem is everything is too expensive, even for a member. I always say,'You have to be wealthy to be healthy, which is a shame!

Update... A City Market representative reached out to me about my review. She asked me specifically about my experience and assured me she would look into my concerns. I recently visited the Flynn City Market location and received a kinder gentler visit!Thank you Carley, greatly appreciated!

Best place to shop for local produce including fruits and vegetables mostly during late summer through fall. Also occasionally you will find some fun treats like Irish truffle potatoes.

Really great selection of local fresh produce, beer, kombucha, and basically everything else! Was visiting out of town, favorite part was the Aqua Tea kombucha on tap. Ended up being about the same price as buying their retail bottles but you also get to pick really cute labels which is nice if you plan to reuse the bottles. Everything is well stocked and store is very clean. Check out was quick, service was great.

I work there as a stocker. They have a solid bulk section, and a wide variety of baguettes from local bakeries. Location is very convenient for going to the lake.

Clean, tidy, well organized with lots of variety. Sort of like trader Joe's but local. Nice wide aisles. Make your own peanut butter and almond butter. Lots of organic foods.

So mid. Flavorless and bland food for an extraordinary price. Getting a small meal at the cold and hot food section is the same price as getting an amazing meal at any of the other fabulous restaurants in the area. If your looking for ready to eat meals plz go anywhere else.unless you have ebt then whatever you do you.

This is the better location as compared to the one in downtown! It’s much bigger and has more available parking. However, we wish there were more EV charging stations available.

A good selection of organic and conventional fresh fruits and veggies. The deli bar is more self-serve now with premade items. Prices are generally higher and you're paying for the convenience of a downtown shopping and a commitment to local farms whenever possible.

What can I say...this is a heavenly place to shop for groceries or food to eat between their delicious sandwiches, hot bar and desserts! Love, love, LOVE their eco friendly approach to so many aspects. Bulk day is awesome, especially if you bring in your own containers. I am grateful for their EV chargers as well, but THE absolute best part is all the folks who work there. Worth every penny...especially if you "rally up" your change to donate to any of the local charities they help out each month!

Very nicely laid out store and made me think of Whole Foods or similar nicer supermarkets.

Had delicious vegetarian chilli, SO GOOD.The rustic bread was good, too.We didn't need much since we were visiting, but it did look like a great place to buy prepared food and the groceries looked fresh.

Love the entire concept of this place! Becoming a member is a great idea to help focus a "buy local" approach. Great selection especially since you can buy packaged or package your own food like tea, coffee, olive oil, honey and nuts. You can even make your own peanut butter! The hot bar has delicious offerings for every eater and ready made sandwiches if you need to just grab and go. Please stop in and give it a try and remember there are benefits to membership, for you AND the community! (Rally up at checkout to help donate to local charities.) Don't forget that ALL are welcome!

The new south end City market is great. It's like a sweet combination of healthy living and the downtown city market.Prices are excellent if you're a member (which you really oughta be) and their selection is great. Even or especially as it fluctuates seasonally.Plus the candy in their bulk section is fantastic.Update:Still awesome. Feels a little less manic than downtown city market. I prefer it.

Excellent selection great staff, affordable prices, and not crowded at all. Plus, its right near a residential area, specifically my favorite ex boyfriend's grandmothers house, who turned out to be homophobic, but I digress. Plenty of organic and fair trade food for the discerning customer, as we'll as my favorite hippie treat: fruit leather. More accessible and plentiful parking make this a better co op than its sister site off of Church Street, which itself is just a short drive away.

I love the new location. I live closer to this new store and don't have to go through downtown and fight the small parking lot. This new store has ample space in their parking lot. The murals and designs on the building, inside and outside, are lovely and well done. The store feels open and not congested, clean, and inviting.

NEVER get a co-op membership with City Market! I went shopping with my friend who has had a co-op membership for 15 years, but they let her abusive ex steal her membership. The only option they gave my friend was to make her abusive ex give it back, which was unsuccessful as well as unsafe emotionally and physically. My friend's only other option is to buy a brand new membership despite already investing into hers for the last 15 years. Now my friend experiences repeated trauma (which I saw her experience on this shopping trip) every time she wants to use the membership that is rightfully hers. AND on top of that, her ex receives all of the dividends. City Market does not represent Vermonters' interests or values and should be held accountable.

I love the store and could spend so much money. It is expensive, but if you want to go local, sustainable and organic, this is the place to go. Ample parking! In the winter, get a coffee across the street at Nomad. In the summer, get a CM sandwich and walk down to the beach. Awesome!

Beautiful store. The fresh produce and fruit section is a gorgeous selection of local, organic and regular items. The wide, clean aisles are clearly marked and arranged logically. It's a great place to find the staples, the hard-to-find items and to get inspired or take home a ready to eat meal.

This is one of my favorite spots in burlington to get food. The store has all the essentials I need. My favorite aspect is the salad and sandwich bar. The food is so incredible and fresh. When I get food there for consecutive days, they always switch up the options. The one drawback is that it’s a little pricey, but I think it’s definitely worth it!

Yes, it's a pleasure not to have to deal with downtown traffic. Much safer to park here. And it is a part of the store we have loved for so many years. And I don't have to get there by 7am in order to be able to park and shop. All the advantages of the downtown store and more!

Different vibe from downtown location...a little more chill. Usual assortment of co-op style groceries. Very friendly and helpful staff.
