Well it's right down town, great location, plenty of parking spots, handicap parking too. There are plenty of bike racks for patrons who ride. They even have tables outside when the weather is nice. There is a dog station if you choose to let your dog wait outside, but you can always bring service animals inside (anywhere). Also they have an ATM outside, now as far as inside the store, well there's a great produce section,a bulk food department , spices, candies, and dry goods. They have an excellent selection of vitamins and O. T. C. medicines. Then they have a deli, meat and seafood counters, sushi, hot foods, M. T. O. sandwiches, beer, wine, groceries... I think they have just about anything you can think of. They offer memberships which come with discounts and incentives, perks, news updates on the Co-op and if you're on SSI or food stamps, you can get a membership for free.

Wicked expensive and the attitude the employees seem to ALWAYS have is ridiculous. Very judgmental towards people based on their appearance. I work with people with disabilities who like to stop there before I bring them to group and the employees always give us nasty looks when we walk through.

If you wanna good and I mean GOOD sandwich... go here! If you have foodstamps, no worries, you can still buy them! As long as they keep making sandwiches, I'll keep going! Way better than Subway or any other local spot I've been! 12/10 recommend!Just make sure yall go between 10-2! That's the only time you can get them made to order, at least for now!

An organic market built in the lens of Whole Foods, yet 100x better. The selection of local produce is amazing, as is the beer, and the prices. The staffers are very friendly as well.

Cute little local organic strawberries! Awesome premade vegan options and a cute seating area with everything you could possibly need to enjoy your meal.

The Deli food bar there at City Market has way over priced items. The burgers there don’t even have tomatoes, onions of lettuces. The prepared food quality there is subpar and with not variations as it was before the current chef took over. Do not expect there at the deli bar any “free-range” eggs (they are “cage free instead”), organic veggies or grass-fed animal meat there. However, you will be charged as it they were that! Just a small portion of potatoes, rice and beans with cost you close to $17. Beware!

So many vegan products! They have a bakery section that even sells local vagan baked goods, such as awesome cookies and cupcakes from Sweet Alchemy. Their deli section also has many vegan dishes clearly labeled. It makes a great affordable take-out meal.

Paid $10 for a burger only to bring it back to my office and find it was raw. I would have eaten it in City Market's eating area and asked for a replacement, but the homeless were occupying the café and the smell of urine was absolutely unbearable. Disgusting on both fronts.

People clam city market has unfair and high prices but high prices are are all over the place. You just have to stop, look, shop and pay attention to prices has with any other store for the best value. Great place would recommend becoming a member. Membership is free if you receive EBT snap benefits. Shop thier offten fenomanal place.

Went to the Co-op for lunch today and grabbed this beauty of a burger. I do not know who made the food today but not good, the person can make others sick doing stuff like this. As a member of the Co-op I am concern about food quality now and quality assurance of the prepared foods.

This is one of my favorite places ever. Fun, funky staff, outstanding selection. It ain't cheap, but I find that the quality is usually very high. The sandwiches, however, are fantastic. And the cozy eating area is one of my favorite wintertime people watching spots.

City mkt used to be great, but it is at risk of turning into city hall park. It is often dirty, starting to look run down. The bathroom is usually filthy. So dirty they sometimes appear to lock it to prevent homeless people from using it to shoot up? I cannot tell. Service has also deteriorated, unfortunately - staff had me wait an hour for prepared food, only to tell me "sorry we are not making any more", no explanation. I went to the front desk to let them know.... Waited and waited, no one there. I could not even lodge a complaint. Come on city mkt, you can do better!

I think It's ok if yur a tree hugger and use to eating very little cus the prices encourage that. But if dad and mom are footing the bill, go for it.

Neat grocery store that reminds me a lot of Whole Foods. Fresh produce, decent prices. Friendly staff. Small dining area adjacent to the store where you can sit for a quick bite or a sip of coffee.

A market like we'd like to have more. Fresh local and organic products got the top shelves everywhere. Behind groceries, you'll find hot coffee, sandwiches....A well done and manage shop.

This is a very high quality grocery store in walking distance of downtown. Many healthy options like organic, cage free eggs, ghee, local produce, etc. You’ll pay for it but you can find top notch food here.

Produce is usually fresh. Most cashiers are very friendly. The fish is a hit or miss. We’ve bought bad arctic char from here twice. We’ll unfortunately not buy fish from here again. They should maybe reevaluate their food safety protocols regarding their fish.

Whole wheat roll, cheddar trimmings, incredible local raspberries. What a great lunch. Lovely place to wander and gawk at yummy foods. Captures the Vermontian ethos well.

Truly an amazing place, right in the heart of downtown!!! This grocery store helps to make Burlington more interesting and sustainable. I wish we had more unique downtown development such as City Market. A great grocery store that I visit frequently.

Love this grocery store I've only been here twice, but I do like the products they have the only issue I have with them is you need to check your receipt because both times I've been here I've been overcharged. One visit I was overcharged $10 the second visit right around $20 I think the checkers need to be very careful and the customer's definitely need to check the receipts but otherwise it's a great little place I highly recommend it

Great groceries but they cost a lot. One employee complained about his pay. Friendly group he said. I think everyone is really helpful especially delivery. Not all could do that just because they don't drive

I really like city market. But it is often hard to find parking in the downtown location. Pine street location is better, buy annoying to get to. This place is always busy when I go. I like the membership perks, including free reverse osmosis water.
