This is a very interesting slice of Vermont. It's a floating bridge, whi crosses Sunset Lake. There's a small park with a few parking spaces. A great spot for swimming and fishing.

Detoured out of my way to check out the floating bridge and I'm glad I did. One of a kind spot! Super neat to see in person.

It was a quaint little spot to see. The floating bridge was very stable and didn't move much as we went across it in our car.

Interesting place though the bridge is permanent now & no longer floating. Still known as floating & popular out of the way place. Serene & quiet.

Cool bridge. Lots of people fish here and it’s very deep. Not sure if you can still drive your car over as It has blocked off for some years now.

This bridge is actually floating, though one thing to keep in mind, others have slowly subsided, (sunk).

My friends and I had a great time swimming and fishing here! We didn't catch anything but many people said they caught fish early in the morning or later in the evening.

It’s a bridge that floats! On the water! You can drive your car across! The bridge! The floats! On the water! There’s also a nice little park with a display about the bridges history at one end. So pack a picnic, and drive across this bridge that floats on the water.

Don't waste your time. I went 9 years ago and the bridge was actually some what in the water. You could see the barrels then. But now they changed it in 2015 and you can no longer see the barrels and they fixed the whole bridge so it doesn't go in the water

This is a beautiful spot to swim, fish, or hang out. It can get a little crowded on warm days and I recommend having water shoes as it's a little rocky getting into the water.

Beautiful lake and amazing place to swim, fish and boating. I dislike the bridge because it's nothing like it's history. Should've preserve it as it used to be.

My mom used to ride her horse here from 6 miles away. My aunt, hit a gas pump which is no longer in the village, back in the 70's. The water is Frigid! Diving or jumping off the Bridge is a blast. Driving across the previous bridges, was tons of fun!!! As they would age, the water would come over the bridge. People are usually fishing here also.It used to be closed in the winter. Perhaps, a local guide could respond re: closures & cars in the winter. This current bridge looks to be much higher off the water than any previous bridge. Also, do any of the local guides know how deep Sunset Lake is?It's deep, according to stories, trucks have sunk, never to be found. In addition no one in my entire immediate family, (which is extremely large), has ever been able to touch bottom. My mom thinks she might have come close, once. She is certain she "touched what felt like leaves. It's extremely dark, and leaves are not necessarily the bottom. I think I brought some up for proof, but I'm not positive". The floating bridge is extremely special. Not just to my family, but to Brookfielders.

Ive always liked going here.... I do miss the old bridge... Getting splashed by passing cars... Alot of good memories here.... I bring my children now... Sometimes we run into the occasional mean or disrespectful teenager and can't stay as long as we want but my children always love going

Such a neat bridge. There wasn't water across it when we went. We did get out for a couple pics but were attacked by bugs!

Very unique place, could swim off the bridge if you wanted to. When cars drive over it you can feel it move on the water

No better place to be in the summer. Fish, kayak or swim. Ice fishing in the winter. Nothing like a small VT town with Allis State Park around the corner.
