If you're looking for a shop to sell you pregnant rats without telling you, and then refusing to let you take em back, what are you waiting for??? These guys are great. They keep male and females together breeding in cages all the while selling them to their customers with zero disclaimer. 👍👍

Great staff. They are very knowledgeable with products they sell. The vp is just a phone call or email away should I have technical feed questions. Amazing customer service. Plus…they deliver!

I love this store. The employees are great! Always friendly and eager to help when needed. It's the kind of store where you feel like they know you. My grandfather always went there for his animal feed and now we do too. They have a little bit of everything you could think of when it comes to animals plus some Yankee Candle. The store is well kept and things are easy to find. And there's a cute little fish pond outside!

This place has a wonderful selection for reptiles and fish. The animals are well taken care of, fresh veggies and full dishes. Staff is friendly and so is their bird, who is a tad flirty and keeps getting The Andy Griffin theme song stuck in my head...All in all, it's a good place to shop and somewhere I feel confident that the animals in the store are taken care of with compassion.

They deliver! I used to order all my dog food from Chewy. For comparable pricing, I am able to support a local business who delivers the dog food to my door. The people are always so pleasant and the delivery guys are sweethearts. I highly recommend this place.

Whitman's is a great local feed store with a good selection of gardening materials, pet supplies, farm needs (feed, feeders/waterers, supplements, etc), gift items and decor (candles, garden flags, doormats, etc). They also sell birds and fish, in addition to having poultry available for order.

What a fun, reliable local haunt. Always get into trouble finding great needed deals there. Super friendly, comprehensive, informative, warm, dog friendly, great variety of fish birds, and great other beastlies, including their own welcoming parrots. Great choices if animal good, seeds, etc, at wide price ranges, grooming options, outdoor seasonal plants and varied decor and on and on. Wonderful memories as I watch farmers etc visiting the back entrances for their huge bulk store. And fun information galore.

They are always so friendly and knowledgeable. Pricess are not too pricey. You can find anything you need for you furry, hairy, and scaled friends.From crickets to horses- they've got the goods. Let's not forget their groomer, she's great and she's fast, and even better, she's cheap! Love this place, definitely better than any chain stores.

While I would love to continue to support locally owned businesses I took our new puppy in the store for her first time today, and was extremely disappointed by the lack of collars/leashes to choose from and toys to choose from. There used to be an entire aisle/section of toys, now it’s an end cap. There also used to be a HUGE variety of collars/leashes, leather, rope, etc. Now all they carry is Lupine nylon kind, which I won’t use anymore. You need more options to choose from. We used to love to come here for our old dogs, there was a wide variety of toys and a wide variety of collars and leashes and the fact that there’s almost nothing to choose from any more disappoints me greatly. It’s very hard to support local when they have no variety to shop through.

A good all around farm and garden supply store. Occasionally, some prices are a bit higher compared to others like Tractor Supply but by and large a good place to buy organic farm and garden fertilizers and cover crops for me. I think they make a better effort than chain stores in stocking the less common items needed for homesteading. Also where I shopped most often when I had goats...they'll probably have what you're looking for. Tractor Supply beats them occasionally on price but have fun looking forever there and not finding several of the things you need.

Great store great service kind staff. The store bird Jambo likes to sing the theme song from the Andy Griffith Show.. Great place to bring the kids. Nice variety of small pets to buy; ie: hamsters, mice, and fish. You can also purchase bags of food to feed the fish at the local hatchery.

I made an appointment nearly a month in advance and the first time I called, the groomer was out sick. That's understandable. People get sick. It happens. I left voicemails with my number twice for someone to return my call. Eventually, my call was returned, an appointment was set and placed in my calendar. Between the time the appointment was set and the date of the appointment, I had to change phones and got a new phone number. I showed up with my dog 15 minutes early for her grooming appointment. The groomer isn't ready for my dog at the appointment time and is grooming another dog. The groomer finally came out of the room to greet us, started petting my dog to test her temperament (since my dog would have been a new client) and everything is fine. My dog is calm all the time so, nothing to worry about. Then the groomer informs me that she won't be able to groom my dog because she forgot her daughter has a dance recital. I remind her that the appointment has been booked for a month. Instead of owning the fact that the groomer double booked her schedule she tells me "your phone is off. I tried to call you". This is extremely unprofessional. Everyone's time is valuable. When appointments are set, they go in a calendar so that when things in life change like travel, or getting a new phone number happen, you still know where and when you need to be (hence the appointment). The groomer rescheduled the appointment to this date weeks prior and I obliged. Then, my number changed and I showed up to my dog's appointment and get turned away because of the groomer's lack of planning. I was taken back when the groomer had the audacity to attempt to place blame on me instead of owning the fact that she double booked herself. I asked her where could I go to take my dog as I took off work to get her to that day's appointment. She gave me phone numbers to two groomers. When I called both groomers (as well as other local groomers) I was informed by almost all groomers that my situation always happens. This lady has a habit of picking and choosing who she wants to deal with, and has a habit of flaking on her appointments. Apparently this groomer already has built her client base and doesn't take any new clients. However, if that is the case, the professional thing to do would be to NOT TAKE THE APPOINTMENT. We made an appointment. SHE rescheduled. I accommodated her rescheduling only to show up and have her tell me my dog can't be groomed because forgot about her daughter's dance recital and apparently it's my fault because my number changed? The nerve. I haven't experienced this sort of poor professional practice in a while. Overall, the feedstore is amazing. They have everything you need and have GREAT customer service. However, the dog groomer that they allow to use their roof to run a dog grooming business brings down their score because of deplorable business practices.
