Do not buy major appliances from this store! Dishwasher nightmare!We purchased a dishwasher. At the time of purchase, we paid an extra $50 to have the delivery truck take away the old dishwasher, and were provided a contract stating HD would complete a basic hookup (not a full install into the cabinet) before departing with the old machine.We were given 30 minutes warning for an 8AM drop off. My elderly father was home alone, and the delivery men took advantage of him. They dropped off the new dishwasher, and left it sitting in the middle of the hallway that serves as a fire egress lane for his bedroom.They didn’t take the old machine, an additional service fee we paid for at time of purchase, nor did they do the basic hookup (electric and water) that is included per Home Depot’s contract.Now we’re stuck with a dishwasher in the middle of a hallway and the old broken machine still in the kitchen.Neither of us are physically capable of lifting a dishwasher. There are two one-step step downs that two strong people could easily navigate, but not us.The salesman in the appliance department at Home Depot personally assured us that the delivery guys would remove the old dishwasher for the paid fee. But when they got here, they claimed that Vermont law prevents them from doing any installation (despite the contract Home Depot supplied at time of purchase), and simply ignored the removal service contract.Buy from a real appliance shop. Don’t trust the written word of this Home Depot - they clearly have no issue violating signed contracts and taking advantage of their customers.In short - direct lies from the store, breach of contract, and virtually zero heads up that they were on the way has made this an absolutely horrible experience. See picture for dishwasher just left in the hallway.What should have been simple has become a disaster. Avoid this HD at all costs.

I bought a new fridge and when they put the front plastic on they broke the screw right through the plactic and now they won’t replace it after a month of reporting it cause we’re we all sick

I love this Home Depot!I don't understand any of the bad reviews- staff is helpful, store is well organized & typically stocked with everything I need for home maintenance and also for my "crafting"Special thank you to the staff at the "pro" check out- they're super efficient, great about honoring advertised prices & making sure the registers charge appropriately.. Ms. Sharon has helped me every time that I can remember.. she's always friendly & helpful.. make a point to go there just to see her!!

Although they claim they can install products that they happily take your money for, they utterly fail in getting people to show up to measure, create a quote, and then actually install the product. Any number you call will take payment, but you can cancel only through the local store and good luck if you need to get the name of the mysterious installers. I just canceled a $2,500 order bc they couldn't schedule the install, give me a proper quote, or even cancel the order--the live person who answered at the local Bennington store said she wasn't qualified to do the return and so I have to call back tomorrow! I believe this is a pattern they have where they hold people's payments for a month knowing they can't deliver on the job but having the benefit of my money sitting in their accounts collecting interest for Home Depot--meaning, they're making money off of a false promise.

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. Terrible place to unload trucks. Terrible managers. They are lazy. I will never return to this place ever. They do not have space to receive 18-wheel trucks. Trash in the place. their own trucks.💩💩💩💩💩👎👎👎👎👎🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Despite the unhelpful staff, HD has always been a fav for a variety of items. If you're not a thin attractive female, you will have to seek assistance, because no one will look at you, much less ask if you need help! Customer service & cashiers are nice and curteous most of the time. The manager has never disappointed when asked to assist.

Perhaps the worst-run Home Depot in the country, and that is saying a lot. Always understaffed and what little staff they have is either woefully undertrained, or retired guys from the trades who sneer at your questions. Entire management team should be fired.

It's nice to have it here but ,the refund policy, isn't really good ,of you have a recept ,you can get cash back if not you get a card to credit at the store ,okay then it gets tricky.,you can't give the card to your spouse or partner ,you are the only one that can use the card ,with your driver's license ,if you make a purchase and use the card and add cash to your purchase ,so say spend 100 dollars give them your card ,maybe for 30 dollars of it ,and then need to take any of those things on that trip, you can't get any cash back you get another card for store credit ,even if the whole thing was originally cash out of pocket ,when it started ,and if at some time you've returned things too often ,for them ,they will refuse to take an item back for 90 days ,if you've ever had a huge project ,you might know it's not hard to over buy or pick up the wrong thing ,and take back the extras ,better make it on one trip ,or get punished ,even if you have receipts.

Drove an hour to pick up one of 6 air conditioners listed as in stock. Got there, spoke to 3 different associates to help me locate one of them. Each one said "sorry, if we had one this is where it would be", even after showing them on the app that they had 6 of them. I Left furious. A couple miles down the road I pulled over and called the store. The nice lady that answered the phone said " yes we do have them in the back, stop back and I'll get one for you". One out of 4 competent and helpful staff. Not my favorite store that's for sure!

Good experience. Although this is a smaller Home Depot than the ones I have visited people are nice acknowledged presence which is much better than what I have encountered in the past with lot of larger Home Depots. Only reason I give it four star because if something is not part of the inventory in this store but it is inventory as part of Home Depot they could have added it and giving me my credit for that however it did not.

Customer service is excellent, friendly, professional and the associates go out of their way to help you. The store is well lit, clean, and well-stocked. The only problem that I do have is on the bulk items where if you aren't careful you could pick up a different size, much of this blame can be put on the customer who picks an item out to inspect it and not caring puts it into another bin. This problem is true at any large store and not just HD.

They always put too many items in the main aisles which creates clutter and difficulty getting around. MOST OF THE TIME, if you cannot grab an associate for assistance, most will just keep a low profile.

Lew was exceptionally helpful in finding the item I needed. The website said 11 were in stock, but they none were on the shelf. He located the box on a high shelf in the wrong location. Thank you Lew for going above and beyond.

Never before have I had such wonderful service as I did today at Home Depot. I went in for a vacuum cleaner belt. The level of difficulty for this task rivals a double sow cow at the Olympics. I had a helper as soon i walked in and he double and triple checked the website to be sure the part would fit my vacuum. I was extremely impressed!

Some times it's a hassle to find what you need and to ask certain people that are very friendly and helpful is always a plus...... then there are time when you realize that there are true rejects in this world .... the wood department has the most rude man working in that department that I have ever met in my life , snotty and disrespect towards my wife and I'm not satisfied at all , as a woman she knows more about building , framing , roofing , and sheet rocking then most men .... come to find out Sr. you where wrong and she was right truthfully she should have your job and more customers would be satisfied

This store has seriously declined in performance over the past 1.5 yrs. The staff and customer experience used to be so good. Now, you do curbside pickup, find yourself waiting for 20 minutes, and have to go inside to get your order anyway because new staff sits around twiddling their thumbs. Want some wood? Don’t go here, you will find expensive wood that is more crooked than a politician. One would think it would all be discounted but no, full price for below standard wood. The entire mood of the store is negative and the employees stopped being friendly...to everyone! Definitely need changes here to bring it up to Home Depot standards.

I ordered carpet to be installed. After one no show they rescheduled and assured me it would be installed in the morning as I did not want another no show for an afternoon appointment. The day before I received an email that we had the same installation time (1-5pm). I called and they told me that they could not promise times for installation (though the woman assured me when re-booking that it would be a morning appointment). So the second installation was also a no show. We cleaned the space thoroughly and spent hours taking apart and putting back furniture twice. Only to be lied to and deceived. What a joke this company is. I certainly learned my lesson and will only shop at small businesses from now on.
