Got ich in my main tank from here and. They tried to lay and say they didn't sell the fish I bought to bad I had the prof I did. I didn't even want money back just for them to start treating and let costumer know there's something in the tank.

Absolutely disgusting.. My Boyfriend and I went to pick up some guppies for our tank and what was found was horrific I mentioned the fish many times but the lady staff was very rude and decided to just say fish die, I understand that but the diseases that come off dead animals essentially fish is really bad..you could have scooped them out! The live fish were eating them! Will never support again

Decent pet store. Has a variety of supplies for most of not all pets. Prices are decent and it seems to be fully stocked.I do not approve of how they sell the Betta fish. They are kept in around 2 to 4 cup containers with nothing in them.

Went in to buy Litter for my cat when I proceeded to ask the man where there was a shopping cart he was like oh you didn’t see them over there like I never been in the store before didn’t know that the carts were hidden behind the wall so that started off my bad experience I proceeded to go get cat litter, and nobody is in the area to help you pick it up, and I had to force to be picked it up by myself I have 2 collapsing hips and A very bad back So I got it in the cart and went up to pay for it, and when the lady realized that the bag was open I proceeded to ask her nicely if she can give me another bag And she said I would have to go get it. I said well I have a very bad back and can’t lift things too she proceeded to say oh I do to You are supposed to be able to lift stuff if you Work in sales not tell the customer. Oh you’re gonna have to get it because I have a bad back to I said, well I can you get it for me she said I guess with a nasty Attitude, and then proceeded to push my cart aside and help the next customer never ever have I been treated so poorly and someone be so inconsiderate to me I may be young and look normal on the outside but my images of my body on the inside say differently so I walked out and now I am writing this review as I am on my way to petsmart

Petco doesn't have many sales on the stuff I like to buy my cat, such as toys etc. The staff are good there, the animals look healthy and taken care of. I wish the store had more competitive pricing since I always pay full price there. Having a vaccine clinic is a bonus!

The Bennington vt location has a decent saltwater section. I highly recommend dipping all coral frags! Do not skip this step. They sell iodine dip right in store. Also the fish seem healthy but I would also quarantine or give them a parasite dip just to b safe. But the ppl r friendly and I love this location

Just wow ! I have a Chiweenie. Came in with a scheduled appointment and was told 30 minutes later that my dog was too wiggly for them to do a grooming. Lol. Really ? It’s unfortunate as I had to pay $43 for a bath that I could have done. Personally I was going to shop for toys, bones and puzzles and such. However, I was pushed away and treated like I have this Khujo of a dog. Very disappointed and thrown out that store pretty much. Management is rude, lazy and not responsive to customers needs. Obviously they stole my money and really had no time for my dog.

Went to buy fish one day and were told some of the fish were sick and couldn't be sold. We were asked to come back in a few days. We returned a few days later and were told everything was fine. We purchased 11 fish of 5 different varieties. 3 died systematically within 3 days. Upon calling the store I was told I needed a receipt and a clean water sample before they would do anything. I didn't save my receipt, and told the guy I spoke with the water is probably not perfect now since there has been 3 dead fish in the tank. He tried to blame us for mistreatment of the fish. Even though their own staff said earlier that week that the fish were sick. THEY obviously mistreated the fish, and sold some knowing they were sick. So now we're out over $70 for these poor fishies that we now have to sit and watch die one at a time. Will never go back here again!!

This was my first visit as I am a new pet owner. When I asked for help, the person who took care of us went above and beyond. She educated us to being a pet owner. I was so grateful.Update: Dog food has gotten a tad more scarce and I began looking for alternatives. Store employee spent time showing me the different kinds of foods and what Thier quality was compared to our current food. I got a huge education that day. Very helpful staff! Thanks.

I have been disappointed for the past few months not to be able to purchase the canned cat food my cat prefers. I understand the logistics crisis the country has been under recently, but in two visits in the past four weeks, I was told that the regional rep for the food company had assured you that the food would be coming in soon. I tried a few other good brands, but my very unfussy cat, sniffed, turned up her cute little nose and walked away. This latest visit I was helped by a wonderful associate who found something for me to try and this time success! So thank you for having helpful and knowledgeable associates. My cat thanks you as well!

I have honestly always loved going to our local Petco as they are very knowledgeable when it comes to caring for the fish, my primary reason for going there as a fish lover. Building live plant Aquariums is a hobby in itself and an expensive one. But they offer great quality products as foundations and have a great selection of plants and fish to choose from. Everyone is always friendly and they are fair when it comes to products. I never feel unwelcome ever. If you have any fish questions, Tyler is the one to ask!

Firstly, I want to thank the staff here for being so friendly. They've done nothing but an amazing job listening to my problems, recommending help, testing my aquarium water, and helping me find what I need to make.my aquarium the best that it can be. Huge thanks to Greg!Secondly, this store is very clean. There is no weird odor that you might find at other Petco locations, and it appears that the staff takes great care of all their animals. You rarely see dead fish in the tanks, or too many dead crickets. Great job on this.Lastly, the staff is very knowledgeable and will help you to the best of their ability. Highly recommend this store to all who have pets.

I went in just to get one thing for my new puppy but was DELIGHTED to find the 'clothes section' and was able to buy her a new dress and some pajamas. With the weather getting cooler and she being only 6 weeks old - I wanted her to be warm! I love Petco's products. I just wish all Petco's were like the one in Bennington. So many times you hear of abuse and neglect at places like this but I see the animals there and they are in clean cages with food and water and look wonderful! KUDOS for being pet friendly and not jerks!!

As a former employee, I will not go into much detail about how operations are run here but I can say the animals need more care. From the fish to the hamsters, so much goes unnoticed and untouched. Your opinion in such a big company means little to nothing. I have mentioned problems I noticed and have watched them be neglected. This was not just a job for me but a passion. I oddly enough thought I could change the way animals are taken care of in the store but had a rude awakening that Petco is about the money and profit- not for the animals.Shop for your food and goods but please consider where you get your pets from.**This is coming from a former employee who has no "beef" with the store or any employees there. My coworkers did what they could for the animals but the management should be looked at closer.**

Recently got a new pup. It's been awhile since the hubs and I had one. Our first stop was Petco. By the time we left, we had everything we needed. I have to say, buying for a newborn would have been easier😉 but the manager made it painless. Kudos to her and our pup says thanks too♥️

Was told on Monday can't buy fish they have a bacteria from there supplier...come back on Wednesday thinking new fish. Nope same ones I guess because of the 70.00 we spent on fish they are all dieing... we have had fish tanks for over 30 years.and we are told that our tank is the problem... no your selling sick fish. Will never return to this store.....

The conditions this store keeps their betta fish in is appalling. They had at least 3 or 4 sets of shelves packed with betta fish in small cups. The water was filthy and the poor fish were pale and lethargic, just lying on the floor of the cups. It appears that this Petco has way more bettas than it can sell in a humane and timely fashion, and took no care in changing the water regularly to keep the fish happy and healthy. I left there, not wishing to give them my business, and went to a privately owned pet store to get supplies for a betta I had just been given. Their betta fish were also kept in small cups but they only had a dozen fish, the water was clean and the fish were brightly colored and very lively. There is no excuse for Petco to be mistreating their betta fish this way. I urge anyone who sees it themselves and agrees, to file a complaint with the store and to take your business elsewhere.

I bought a fish a week ago they said that I could not exchange since said fish died fish was healthy filtered water they just want to make me sign up for their pals membership and it was completely ridiculous did not value my fishes life see pictures of fishes. Only cares about money.
