Rude staff who refuse to assist customers (specifically the cashier I had the other night). And they sell expired food. I thought that was a health code violation and illegal. They had rotten produce out for sale that were past their buy before and best by dates. 🤮

Everytime I go in, something is always wrong or missing. Tonight it just happened to be that they are only taking cash. They didn't say anything when I walked in, nope, they wait until you're about to pay. I think I'm all done with Price Chopper. What an awful grocery store.

Very sad. They have limited staff so we try to take care of ourselves. I went shopping early in the morning so very, very, few people in the store and no other customers where at any registers checking out when I went to check out. NO Employees were at the registers to check me out either so I decided to go to the self- check out. I was very rudely told I had more the 15 items. I noted, no worries, I will break it out in batches of 15 each; That there is no one at the registers to check me out so I will just check my self out (which I did not mind doing.) She again VERY RUDELY told me I could not do that and to go back to Reg #2 and "wait" and eventually someone will come to check me out. I was so baffled by this. Say what? Instead of taking care of my self and letting your employee continue to stock shelves, you want me to go stand and "wait" until someone comes to checks me out? The abrupt rudeness was one thing but then being told to "wait" to get service when I am willing to service myself was something elseI do get the policies but sometimes you have to look at the specific situation and adjust. We all have to pick in to help with this staff shortage.Sadly, I did not get groceries that day and I will most likely shop elsewhere now.

Huge shout out to the cashier who showed compassion and was very understanding. Being followed by another customer who went as far as running at me making inappropriate comments while my husband was around the corner and not in sight of me, I was very uncomfortable and wanted to get out of the store asap so I tried to use the self checkout. She noticed something was off and opened a register to get us out of the store quickly. She kept a great upbeat happy conversation with us as I was shaking and on the verge of tears. I told her the man was near by and she made sure we were out the door unbothered. Thank You Maya for being such a compassionate person!

I keep going back which says something. :) Really like their fruit and veggie section and they have the biggest selection of gluten free products in the Barre area that I've found so far. Also a few fun conversations with the staff when Ive shopped or checked out. Very appreciative to have them so close.

Good place to shop they have a great variety of products, from vegetables to meats to toilet paper! Their shelves are well stocked and staff are very polite ! The store is very clean, its a great place for anyone to shop. There's only one thing that I find different than where I shop the most, prices are higher.

Things were good. The cashier was good. Nice personality was goo. The lady who helped bag up my groceries was nice. They both bagged up my groceries as I had asked. My visits are good. I shop there all the time. Your fruits and vegetables are good. A lot of the other stores, their produce goesbad quickly and not as sweet as your produce. I will continue to shop there.

The best place to shop if you enjoy spending money on food that is very near the expiration date, or better yet, already expired.Seriously though. I don't know what it is about this place for the past couple of months, but I have learned to check the dates on everything here, even more than I ever did before, because I've purchased a few different things over the past month only to see that they expire the same day, or within a few days, or with the container of egg salad I bought, expired 3 days prior.I would give this place a single star, but it also has a Starbucks in it, and they still have a better variety of products than the two Shaw's locations up the road.

A small gentleman helped me find my poppy seeds at 10:40pm. He had a wonderful attitude even though he was working the night shift. I also got some delicious Annie's mac n cheese. The cashier woman gave me a shiny penny. Overall, 10/10 would recommend.

Understanding that these are trying times, and necessary changes have been made for the safety of all. This has made it difficult to adjust to changes that have been made on both businesses and consumers. With that said, Price Chopper advertises that they are open until 10pm. This is 100% falsely advertised. Their hours of operation are incorrect and misleading as the doors are locked at 9:40pm to all arriving customers... this has happened on 3 straight evenings, as I get out of work at 9:30 and rush to get there. Tonight I tried to speak to a staff member near the entrance about letting me in, as it was well before the listed closing time. He told me there were currently too many people in the store at the time. At that same time 3 people exited the store, and he still denied my entrance claiming he needed the store clear by 10pm. I told him I had 3 items I needed, not a full cart... Very disappointed with the misleading hours of operation. If they are going to close at 9:40pm, just advertise that as the closing time... DO BETTER!

You want to see a troubled person that gets other employees fired for entertainment? Meet MIAH or MIA at the frontend of Price Chopper. She is a special employee that is and will continue to run-off the customers. MANAGEMENT: take notice!!

From a former employees standpoint, working here put me in therapy. It is not the fault of the staff, but the customers who shop here will have no filter. My first day off training I was referred to as “stupid” and “mentally slow” by customers who I was very polite to. Every customer that got in line seemed to have something negative to say about me. This is truly a shame because the staff are fun and kind people who made my short time there less unbearable. To any potential customers, please cut us younger workers some slack. We are trying our best and it is not our goal to ruin your shopping experience. At least I got an A in my college class for writing about this experience.

It's a very large grocery store. There is a wonderful bakery, cheese department, sushi chef/bar, Starbucks, pizza made to order, all kinds of hot and prepared foods to the left when you enter the store. I drive out of my way frequently to come here. Their selection of groceries are extensive, although to get their sale prices you need a "membership card". I could do without that. Other than that this is a great place to shop. The staff is always friendly. The store is always clean (as are the bathrooms). There is large area to sit and dine if you came for some of the foods they prepare in their food court. They also provide free WiFi throughout the entire store.

Their deli section is amazing and I like to rely on them for lunches at work when I can't be bothered to cook or make something for it. The soups are exquisite, I couldn't get enough of the sushi bar with how well the dishes there are put together and numerous other things are a delight to taste.There's an order in which grocery store I shop at and Price Chopper seems to end up last for me a lot of the time. Hannaford usually is first because of their convenient sales. I really have difficulty sometimes in finding great deals at Price Chopper from time to time. The only things I find myself bargaining on is their own in-store brand of products. It could be because of my timing or something, I'm not sure sometimes.Overall it's still not a bad store to shop at. One perk about this store is getting ahold of the FuelAdvantage with Sunoco. If you're a bigger shopper, getting this is a godsend.

Wait times at the checkouts and friendliness/ability of the checkers vary wildly between okay and abysmal. We've had young checkers actually stand and look off into space expecting us (senior citizens ) to do all the bagging, only slowly helping when asked to do so. Along with this ,some also gave us attitude, Very few lines are open, with long ice-cream melting waits. Employee turnover is rapid, this includes the managers, so am assuming working conditions might not be all that good . One long-time male employee shows surliness and lack of consideration for the customers. Frankly, we only use this market occasionally because of the savings on gasoline that are possible when you use the store card.

Like all price choppers they have their deals. One area they need to improve is having enough cashier's and people bagging groceries. They have 12 cash registers. I have never seen more than 3 used at any one time. Seen ridiculous lines of people waiting to simply check out.

I have shopped here since 1979. I generally find the items I need, at fairly reasonable prices. I like the courtesy of the staff, and appreciate their helpfulness. My only complaint is that they often don't have enough registers open.

This price chopper stated 2 days ago; but it was yesterday; the jalepenos where pruney and didn't want to buy another one that was brown inside and thought it looked ripe when I bought bought it was brown inside. Why does other locations have seagrams glass bottle pack and your location doesn't? Notice banana in the parking lot; their was other trash in the parking lot; hard to get everything from the grocery stores because you don't have it in stock and it is hard to stock up on everything because of pandemic prices. You where out of broccoli; you only had lime juice of the brand that I wanted but out of lemon juice of that particular brand; you should do new carts with cup holder on all of them.

I haven't been to Pricechopper in over a year. Last time I went they didn't have a lot of choices for organic produce or products. They also didn't have a great variety of many things...WELL... went there today and OMG the have changed everything! Great selection of meats both organic and all, organic veggies, frozen gluten free products and so much more from dairy to packaged! I now consider Pricechopper to be my first choice! I'm extremely picky so I definitely say to check them out if you haven't been there in a while. I don't know who decided to FINALLY do what they did to offer great products... but THANK YOU!

Always clean and has what you're looking for. Self check out has gotten better over the years. They always have plenty of people working to cover registers and to help if needed around store. Have always enjoyed shopping here.

Price Chopper is a great place to score deals on your daily groceries if you have the Advantage Edge Card and their overall selection is good. They have just about everything but if you want very specific produce, you might need to try somewhere else. Sometimes their veggies and fruit selection can be lacking.I especially love their hot and ready meals you can get for lunch or dinner and the salad bar is a great choice for a quick bite.My biggest gripe is their seafood. Fresh from the counter, its great, but twice now I have bought prepackaged fish and shrimp and gotten hone to find it's not safe to eat.Avoid that and you're good to go.

Every time I go here something seems to be a struggle. I'd recommend going after 7pm for it not to be busy and the people working are nice when it's slower. The way its laid out really sucks. But the meat section is worth going here.

There sushi is great and they are open 24 hours be warned after hours clerks are very busy so you may have to go hunting one down if you want to check out. Location should have two people working the front to avoid this issue.

It's a wonderful place to go shopping at Price Chopper they have all kinds of type of different foods that you can choose from and things that you need to buy my personal things supplies stuff to clean your live the clean you clean your clothes with and they will make sure they have their stuff in stock for you and if you are lost they will help you get back on the right track to what you are looking for and what you want to buy for your family Price Chopper is a wonderful grocery store that has all kind of types of food and desserts and drinks in alcohol that you can choose from and they have a deli anet's a fish place and a meat place that they cut up all kinds of type of me like beef steak hamburger meat pork chops and breast and gizzards. And fruit bar solids and all kinds of different fruits that you can choose from. And the people there are very nice and friendly I will help you with whatever you need. Thank you very much for your hospitality and your service that you do each and every day to your customers who comes into Price Chopper every day and take time to make sure we make sure we have great service from you guys and I love everything that they have in their store thank you again very much.
