We adopted a young cat in early July and are absolutely thrilled!Santana and the staff at Second Chance chose to introduce Sylvie, (formerly Mitzi) to me based on my requests, and it was love at first sight!It was obvious that she had been well cared for while there. The shelter is immaculately clean, Santana seems to truly care about each cat, and she transitioned to our home very easily.We gave her space for a few days, and gradually she felt comfortable around our dog. Now she’s the entertainment around here! Thank you Santana and Second Chance Animal Shelter!! You’re doing a fantastic job!!

I was rejected for the adoption of a kitten and this was the response: "We would need to see that your cats are up to date on at least a rabies vaccine as that is required by state law. At this point in time, we will not be able to approve your application since your cats have not been to a vet and had their vaccinations. We are happy to revisit your application once that has been done." FYI.

Dr. Delaney, Dr. Landmesser and their staff are ☆☆☆☆☆ all day long. Been with this facility for many years and can't imagine going elsewhere. Best vets around in my opinion 👌

Very nice and responsive staff, beautifully kept facility. Animals seemed happy and well cared for. Adoption fees are incredibly reasonable. Even the grounds and bathroom were clean and well kept. Application and adoption process was easy and went smoothly. Highly recommend when looking for your next pet. If you're looking for a place to donate animal food, cages, bowls, etc. Consider bringing them here.Also, they have a barn/working cat program which is great.

Refusal to help an extremely pregnant feral cat, because i didn't have an appointment is rediculous, as is the rules of the TNR program..please reconsider how this program works..and please replace your unkind uncaring cat coordinator with someone with an actual heart an soul, capable of feelings. Thank you for your absolute useless help with my feral cat problem or these poor animals. Shame on. You.

Second chance was a lifesaver after my female cat got out and returned home pregnant. I participated in the “spay the mom program” I was able to keep my cat at home until she delivered and the kittens were 8 weeks old. At that time second chance spayed mama and found homes for the kittens (after spaying / neutering and giving them their shots) it took the pressure off me to find good homes for all 9 kittens and allowed me to have my cat spayed at a reduced rate. They were very informative and helpful throughout the process.

We adopted a 6month old kitten from here. Went in looking for a very young kitten but walked by their cat room and fell in love with Diane, who we renamed Linda Lou. This is one of the nicest facilities we have been to and the Staff was very attentive and informative. Facility is very clean and we could tell the animals got plenty of love and care. Our new kitten is such a delight and our other cat and dog absolutely love her.

My husband and I adopted our cat from this shelter and we couldn't be happier! We were able to get to know him before we brought him home and he is a perfect fit with our other cat... The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the facility is very clean and accomodating for all the animals!!! Definitely visit this animal center for your next fur baby!

I adopted our cat Meko from Second Chance a few years ago and could not be happier with the entire process! The people are friendly, patient and very knowledgeable. Since then I have brought my sister to Second Chance where she also adopted a beutiful young cat Franklin.Same great experience. I also brought up a stray cat at the start of the winter in which they took in, cared for medically and found a forever home for. Would highly recommend checking them out if you are looking g to adopt a pet.

Brought female cat to get fixed was very great toward cat. Helped us out so we didn't have to pay so much guided us in the right direction. I deff recommend them I'd wanting to fix cat but only downfall is they took forever to get our cat in and when we found kittens we called them cus we couldn't have cats at time and it was winter and told them situation but wouldn't take them in at all said it would be couple months even after telling them they didn't have place to go in freezing cold weather that's only downfall there animal shelter but won't take a animal in when in need.

Everyone, top to bottom, is wonderful. My daughter and I adopted cats at the same time years ago. Unfortunately mine crossed over the 🌈 bridge. Soon after I decided to foster a senior struggling in the center. They said she may have 1 good year left. That was 3 great years ago. Their concern and care for her is unwavering.

Have been a volunteer at Second Chance for about six and a half years now and can honestly say I have never had so much fun. I walk and play with the dogs, play with the cats, help with social events, and do odd jobs around the shelter when needed. I have never had a problem with any of the pets there and as for the staff, they are like family to me, we all get along great, Since volunteering at Second Chance I have learned so much about caring for the animals because the staff are very, very knowledgable and caring toward them. Volunteering at Second Chance has been a wounderful experience for me and continues to be to this day.

We found the sweetest, most well behaved 1year old puppy here. The staff was amazing to deal with and truly cares for their animals! We will definitely be getting our next dog from them when it is time.

Second Chance is a very kind and compassionate organization run by amazing people. Its my first choice when looking for a new pet. Even if you're looking for a specific breed, they always have a great variety of dogs, kitties, and other animals to choose from. The best part is all the animals have been to the vet, and are fixed. The adoption fee is quite small in comparison!

We adopted Mochi 3 weeks ago and she is happy, adjusting beautifully and healthy. Every other place I've adopted from, the animal had worms,kennel cough ,fleas... This place was so clean! We adopted a wonderful new family member. I wish I had a million bucks to donate to the organization. Highly recommended.

Great snap program!! Friendly staff. I'd recommend to anyone needing to neuter/spay your cats. $70 for my male cat includes neuter, shots, flea treatment, nail trimming and microchip!
