There has never been an employee at the register in the 30+ times I’ve been in this store. Any customer who wants to check out has to go on a chase and usually finds an employee after yelling to the back office. The store aisles are trashed. My last visit was 30 minutes before closing; nobody else in the store, brought my items to the register, waited a few minutes, nobody showed up. Wandered around the store to find an employee with zero results. I put all my items back, went to walk out the store and a woman yells ‘aren’t you going to purchase anything?!’. I just shook my head and continued to my car. Unbelievable. To make this store worse, they got rid of self-checkout, so there is always a huge line and avg checkout now is 10-20 minutes after an employee appears.

This store continues to go down the toilet. I understand the one guy there is stressed out, but that fat boy is always rude to my wife when she comes in. We're contacting corporate.

I hadn't been in the store for a while. Went yesterday and I couldn't believe my eyes. What an absolute dump. I took two steps forward then said no way. It use to be so organized and clean now it's just run by people that don't give a hoot.

It's like a little Walmart. With great customer service, they're very friendly. Clean, helpful. I was able to go in and out very quickly with no long lines. I found everything I needed shelves were stocked to satisfaction. I would recommend doing your shopping here if you are on a time schedule. Quick and easy shopping..

The store in East Arlington has been closed for 3 days--Fri sat and Sun--are you kidding me. There was a note on the door they were closed due to staffing issues--Im sorry but what are the manager and district manager doing, shouldnt this be their responsibility? I called Sat before I just jumped in the car, and its a good thing I did, after calling 3 times someone finally answered with an attitude saying they are stocking as much freight as possible and they will be opened on Sunday. I called today with no answer 5 times--I guess they are still stocking shelves. When this store was run by Kat White they were always open and the store was clean. Since she and her staff have left this store is a complete disaster.The District manager should really put more effort into this store.

Store is never open when it’s supposed to be, many times in my way home from work it’s closed, and the hours are clearly marked “8:00 am to 9:00 pm everyday” on the door. Today, at 2:00 pm on my way home from work, closed again. And for the last 6 months, the shelves are half bare, and there is literally 50 or more u-boats full of merchandise stacked in the aisles blocking the aisles off. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Ridiculous

Coulda been me . But to have both girls stocking shelves. And I'm more than ready to check out standing at the register .and they both keep stocking shelves waiting for the other girl to do the register. What we had here was a failure to communicate . Won't happen there again . I'm out

Store is constantly closing whenever the employees want to close it. They tape a note on the door and then lock the doors 15 minutes before they want to close and open the doors after they check the remaining customers out. Close the store permanently and out something in that wants to be open and serve this tow

The inside of the store looks like a bomb went off. Usually at least three rows you can not get down because it full off stuff still in boxes. Been like that for over a year. Hours are not the same every day.

Went in to get face moisturizer with my friend because I ran out this morning. My friend had a cart because we planned on getting several items. She was interested in getting the same moisturizer as I was so I told her to feel my face to see “how soft it was” when a lady ran out from the back and approached us saying, “I hope you know you’re not supposed to use the products unless you’re going to buy them.” It was very awkward and made us both pretty uncomfortable. Firstly why would someone come into a store with a cart just to put their fingers in a jar of moisturizer and leave without buying it? That’s gross. The lady continued to say how it “looked a lot like (we) opened the jar and started putting it on”. Just a very weird thing to accuse people who are clearly shopping of doing. Made us really want to leave honestly. It’s unfortunate because the manager of the store is a very nice lady as well as many other of the staff, the store is clean and has a good variety of items for a good price. Uncertain about whether or not I’ll be coming here next time I need moisturizer that I can’t seem to find anywhere else.

I really like shopping @ Dollar General because most of the items I use are reasonably priced and I am also able to purchase some food items for myself and my pet. The cashiers who work there are helpful and friendly.

Absolutely the SNOTTIEST MANAGER I have ever encountered. I watched her publicly berate an employee that was simply being friendly to a paying customer. I now boycott $ general.
