I have taken animals adopted from the shelter to this practice a number of times in the past. Frequently there have been communication problems between with the receptionists and the veterinary providers. It took multiple calls to have medications ordered, that the veterinarian had prescribed and failed to document in their notes. Also, getting calls back are almost impossible . They now charge $130 to establish care there for EVERY new animal. However they did not say that when the initial appointment was scheduled for a new adoption. They called the day before the appointment, to confirm it and collect the money. When I stated that it an inconvenience to find another veterinarian appointment on such notice, and it was bad business practice not to inform clients that there is now a $130 fee when they make the appointment, they had a pointless excuse. I suspect they were waiting until clients showed up at the time of appointment and informed them of the new fee, and it did not go well. They are poorly run, and all about the money now.In response to Arlington Animal's Hospital reply below:This information is incorrect. I have never had a "no show" for any appointment. Any and all cancellations for appointments, over the years were made more than 24 hours in advance of the appointment. They are blatantly lying to cover up their poor service.

My poor senior kitty has yet another UTI. We tried the IAMS UTI food, and multiple bowls of water along with cranberry powder supplement. Her timing couldn't be any worse. It's almost 4pm and we need to attend to a death in the family the next day. I really didn't want to leave her to suffer untreated until we returned. On the off chance AAH could take her, I called and after a short hold they said bring her in as soon as you can. We are going home with a new chew type prescription and we will see how it goes.Thank you staff at AAH. You are the best.

This was my first experience and it was a very positive one. The office was very clean. The staff were very friendly, organized and prompt. Our vet was Linda and she was very thorough. Very personable. Very good with our 13-year-old dog. I would recommend this office very highly.

Brought our cat for yearly check up. Daniel suggest medication prior to calm him down(he is wild at the Vet) Worked well. Kelly was great with pick up and drop off during this time. Natalie was excellent with phone check in. Dr. Baum and Michaela were so professional with follow up after words. Great communication. All staff really cared .

Excellent place and very accommodating. Our dog messed up one of his nails and was in pain, needing to be seen by someone on call, on a Friday night. They were super nice about it, and declined a tip I offered them for coming out on no notice on a weekend like that.If you need a vet to go to, and you're in the Arlington area, this is an excellent option.

Love both of the vets and all the staff at Arlington Animal Hospital. They loved on both of our dogs and assisted us through our older dog’s last days. The customer service for prescriptions and paper work is very good as well!

Recently went there for our puppy immunizations. Quick cheap and easy. Super friendly staff. Lovely director. Came back a few weeks later to collect our newest fuzzy family friend. Meet up with the same staff again and still really friendly and warm. Really love this place thanks for being a great place

We love this vet but do have some constructive criticism. Although the so called pandemic is over, this facility will still not let you enter with your pet. In my humble opinion, the conversations that happen between a vet and pet owner during a visit are important and valuable for proper diagnosis but non-existent when the owner has to wait outside while their pet is being seen. I feel I am not getting the same value out of our office visits due to this restriction. Also, the first question we were asked when we arrived was "do we have your credit card on file?". Let's diagnose the pet, treat the pet and then talk about payment please? We love you guys and are happy we found you, your staff is always super pleasant and communicative.

A+ hands down the best vet I have ever been to. Dr Baum is incredibly thorough, polite and cares for animal from the heart. His staff (Ashley and Natalie) have time and time again gone above and beyond the call of their job. The facility is also very clean, modern and up to date. I would highly recommend Arlington Animal Hospital to anyone and everyone 😁👍

I have been taking my dogs and cats to the Arlington Animal Hospital for 30 odd years. Now with Dr Baum & Dr Dowd. They have always been so kind, caring and compassionate with my animals and with me.I just had to euthanize my oldest dog and Dr Baum with a vet tech came to my house to do the deed. This is not the first time they have provided this kind service.I know that the team at the clinic care and will do their best for all the animals and their humans.

I have taken my two dogs, both seniors to them for the past 3 years. They are simply wonderful! Professional with great compassion. They are more responsive to phone calls and emails than my own Primary Care Physician. We love them,Donna, Robert, Sammy and Mikki Esposito

We have been going to Arlington Animal Hospital since summer 2017 when we adopted two cats from Second Chance, also in Arlington. We adopted another this month. This is a friendly, clean, considerate, and welcoming place. The vet and assistants are great with our cats. The vet also provides services to the animals at second chance so she already knew our recent adoption. Happy to recommend Arlington Animal Hospital.

Less than a five only because, comparably, vet costs are higher than other vets I've used. Otherwise, no complaints. Staff is very friendly and understanding. On the other hand, my female pit mix, Rose is still P.O.'d at the staff's attempts (only partially successful) to clip her nails. Not gonna' happen!

A wonderful place to bring your pets. The people who work here really care about your animals. They have the best bed side manner, even for the most skittish of animals. They have been taking care of my animals for 10+ years and have seen us from new kittens, to having to say good bye to a beloved pet.

So very fortunate to find this Vet when we moved to Arlington 3 years ago. They have always greeted us with enthusiasm and truly care about our dog. He has no fear when we go in, I think he actually looks forward to it. Moving on soon but I would recommend AAH to anyone.

Just want to thank ALL who work at Arlington Animal Hospital for their kind, friendly and professional service. Smiling faces great you and your pet at the door, and everyone is so welcoming. Drs. Rick and Emily are very down to earth, answer all questions, and are extremely professional and up to date on treatments and preventatives. They are also willing to arrange house calls for those hard to " herd " cats, and in circumstances where a beloved pet has reached the end and needs to be euthanized. They are there for you!!! Just can't say enough about the level of care. Thank you all...

I have been so pleased with the care given to my pup, Riley. Above and beyond the expert vet care that Riley gets, the staff go out of their way to make the visit pleasant and hassle free for the human visitor. Even when I locked my keys in the car (with Riley inside!) they offered to drive me home to get a spare set! Can't ask for better than that!!

Can not say enough about the wonderful staff at Arlington Animal Hospital. The office staff, the Techs and the Doctors are all very professional, friendly and compassionate. They go above and beyond to meet the needs of both owner and fur baby. As long as I have a pet, this is where I will go for all their medical needs.

First time experience with this dog at vets. He was a little nervous but they won him over in no time at all. It was a great experience for both Bob and I.

Dr. Baum, Dr. Dowd, and the entire staff at The Arlington Animal Hospital are amazing in their care and compassion for their four-legged patients. They have been my first choice for veterinary care for over 25 years. I met Dr. Baum when he first came to Arlington to assist Dr. Tschorn back when the veterinary hospital was on Short Street. You don't stay with a vet all that time unless the care is extraordinary. I know there are other vets and hospitals in Bennington County, and I've tried some of them with some of my charges, but I keep returning to AAH because of the quality of care, the long tenure of the staff, and the fairness of their fees. It's not the newest building, not the fanciest setup, doesn't provide doggie daycare, doesn't have a boutique shop - but, in my opinion, Arlington Animal Hospital provides the best veterinary care a pet owner could ask for.

One of the best vets I have ever been to. I look forward to continuing to bring my dogs there in the future. Just a quick warning, appointments must be paid for at the appointment.

Had a pregnant dog with a puppy stuck in the birth canal the on-call doctor was too lazy to respond told me to go to an emergency vet where they performed an x-ray gave a shot of oxytocin to reinduce labor/contractions and the puppy was delivered within 10 minutes service that was fully possible at Arlington's veterinary clinic.

I’m not impressed at all with the services this facility. the doctor couldn’t even draw blood from my dogs leg, stuck him 10 times with the needle and couldn’t find a vein, so He gave up and went off of the stats from a year ago. Just not impressed
