I first arrived at the gun counter with full intentions of purchasing as well as inquiring about some courses. Nobody was attending the counter so after about 10 minutes I figured I would go shop for the tools I needed and return to the counter later. I could not find the tools I was looking for and i waited around in the aisle looking for about 20 minutes! Finally i went walking around the store to physically find an employee for help. The employee looked up the tool and said they showed it in stock, he then walked with me back to the aisle to look for it. He couldn't find it either so he said he would look in the back. I waited there for about 10 minutes and was just about to walk out before he finally returned without the tool. I asked if he could check other stores since this was also the final day it was on sale and he told me to just call or drive to another store. Frustratingly, i gave up and went back to the gun counter where it was still unattended so i just left the store. made a 2hr drive to this store and left with nothing. I shop almost exclusively with Cal Ranch and every time I have been to this location I have similar results yet when I shop other store locations like Bountiful they are amazing! I called around to other stores and remained on lengthy holds because their systems showed they had the tool but nobody could find it on their shelves so something is clearly wrong with the inventory. I've traveled to 4 different stores in the past because of the same issues with both guns and tools and it's extremely frustrating.

Grabbed some railroad ties from this location. Customer service is awesome, the store is fun to shop. This is where we also get our dog food from. My kid loves looking at the chicks and ducks. Kevin and Stewie are hard workers and helped load the railroad ties into the truck. 💪

Not only is this store open all time, which sounds like a plus until you need an associate to make a purchase. The service here is horrible! Want propane? Sorry, the one person that can fill it, isn't here right now. The kids that work here are ineffective to say the least. If this place didn't sell chicken feed they'd go out of business. The store is messy, boots and clothing everywhere. Next time I'll call to make sure the one guy doing propane is there before showing up.

Used to be a great store. Only thing good about going here, is the good ole boy behind the gun counter. Employees just sit there behind the register with one cashier ringing out 10 customers, you walk in back to the feed section and there’s two younger employees, screwing around and tripping each other, they know where nothing is at. Hopefully you guys can figure it out, your staff is less than caring about their jobs and customers.

Great selection of ranch and outdoor products competitively priced. Good selection of work and outdoor clothing. Boots, hats, tackle, feed, pest and weed control, fencing, etc. See the dozens of photos I attached. If this is helpful please help me by hitting the thumbs up.

Went to get feed, always have to look at the chicks, multiple cages with dead ones(counted 5 in one). Empty food and water containers in 90% of them. I told an employee, but the answer was "we are short staffed". I know chicks die sometimes, but maybe prioritize staffing, so they have water at least

Stopped in here this morning to buy a crate for the puppy we just adopted at Petpalooza. This is a nice store! I received service quickly from an employee to get a crate off the top of the shelves. The price of dog gear is reasonable and the selection is good. I'll def be back.

I am disappointed with my visit to this store today. I came in to get chicken food with two of my small children with me and had my cart loaded with 2 huge 50 lb bags. When I got to the checkout I explained that I couldn't find the wood shavings. I expected the employee David to offer to go get the bale as my cart was already full of feed yet no offer was made. I got out of line and went back to look for the wood shavings myself.When I got back to the checkout, again, David made no effort to come around the counter to find the barcode on the bags of chicken feed. Instead I had to try and lift them myself and locate the barcode on both bags even after I explained to him that the bags were both exactly the same.I wish i had a better experience Here as I've had in the past. Perhaps some training for your employees would be helpful so they can increase their customer service skills and so customers will spend more.

Came here for duck feed and stopped to check out the bunnies… their cages STANK like ammonia and it’s visibly obvious that the bedding hasn’t been changed recently. In the first photo you can see congealed urine on the table around the bottom of the cage. On top of that, the bunnies are too big to be living in these cages together. Disgraceful.

Usually have to ask several people for help before someone knows how to communicate with you. I asked someone the other day where to find something and he started walking off before he finished his thought. Asked a cashier for help finding something that I purchased that was supposed to be outside, and when it wasn't where it was supposed to be, he just stood there awkwardly not speaking or updating me, but just held his microphone to his mouth and stared at the ground. Not talking. I was so confused. He was confused. People in line were confused. It was awkward. Although, it is clean and relatively well stocked. I'm fine buying things here but would definitely shop elsewhere if there were a similar store closer...

Great store with a wide variety of items everybody needs. From tough jeans to cowboy hats and boots, and of course, who can forget the bunnies and chicks! Love this place.

Very clean clothing department (though a tad overpriced). They occasionally have good bargains. If I want discontinued designs Strait Wrangler shirts this is my go to for those. They also have some decent prices on open box boots. They seem to have food for almost every kind of animal except parrots.

The staff at this location was extremely unhelpful. I went up to a worker to ask if they had a certain bag of dog food. The worker didn’t ask how she could help and instead ignored me until I said something. She then looked at her phone the entire time I was speaking. She went to the back to find the product and couldn’t so asked another worker. He went to the back with her and they never came back out to tell us if they had the product. We waited there for about 15-minutes until we ran into one of the workers that help us. He said, “we have the food but it’s at the bottom so I can’t grab it.” No apology or anything so we left. Customer service needs to be better.

I’ve been coming to this CAL Ranch for years since it’s the closest to me, yet I’m continually disappointed every time I come here. Whether I call ahead or check the website to see if something is in stock, they never have what I’m looking for despite being told it is in stock. The employees aren’t very helpful, but I feel for them as it appears they don’t have adequate training for customer service, and I can see their frustration. The store is always a huge mess and hard to navigate as it seems they are always restocking with pallets everywhere. I have to go to a completely different side of town to get what I need after I come here. I wish it was better.

First time there to purchase chicks. It was a busy Saturday afternoon but I was impressed with how Sam, their employee, spent at least 20-minutes answering all of my questions and walking me through the supplies I needed. It really was a great experience and I felt a lot more confident leaving with chicks. All birds and supplies have far exceeded my expectations. I even went back to browse the store another day to see what other items were stocked.

I would do no stars. Every time I try to get my propane filled here it it takes at least an hour and that’s no one else in line. I sit here hitting the button going inside asking for help but no one seems to care. I am done going here for that and anything else. It a shame I used to love it!

Depends on who you get for help at this store will depend on how your experience will be. Got a few members of the staff who make it so you dont wanna go back.So update on 020224Went back sat in the rain for 15 minutes waiting for propain. No one came out. Calked the store talked to a Manger named Holly Kerro who totally dismissed the fact no one came out to fill my bottles. Still absolutely horrible service. Will not be back to cal ranch again. No long a customer. If you need propain got to the mobile lub express on 7000s and 1300 w. They came right out and took care of me.

This store is like a toy store for grown up's (me). From the items and apparels to the great customer service :DI really want to thank Don (store employee), who was patient answering all of our questions about the items we wanted to buy. I've come here many times, and I feel very violated by the employee....at the register, why am I required to announce my birthday to buy items in your store?? A great store for rural-residential customers. Friendly staff and you're normally able to get in and out without much waiting in line.Good for feed and hay, propane and propane accessories, guns, and boots.Use caution going in and out of the east ramp - it's a doozy (and you'll see the scrapes from vehicles taking the incline too quickly).

I've only been to this store once. Was not impressed by the way the store was set up. I went in around 11 am and they had carts in aisles that made it hard to get what I needed. A lot of the things I needed they were out of, but when I asked about the item they said they had stock in the back. After they worked diligently to try to find what I needed in the back, they couldn't find it. So, I unfortunately only got a few things of which I didn't even go for. I had to go to IFA to get what I needed. Not very many staff there to help either. I had to hunt someone down, and finally found someone up at the front who seemed more interested in talking to their Coworkers rather then helping me. Will most likely go back because there aren't many alternative options.

Awesome store. Way better than REI or FFA. They have a ginormous selection of pistols, a.k.a. shotguns and paintball guns. They also have an assortment of clothing shoes feed you name it they have it I would recommend going there 100%.
