Way better inside than outside. Seriously. I had made my reservation through Expedia and when I got to the hotel I briefly thought it was closed. Like, for good. Renovation and mess in the parking area. No real signage to follow. I saw someone come out of what may have been the front office so I decided to try the door. Yes, it was the office. I needed rest but didn't hold much hope that the room would look anything like the pictures. I was pleasantly surprised that the room was EXACTLY as described. I had to check out early in the morning due to my own schedule so I can't speak to the breakfast but the set up they had looked like it would do the trick. Nice lady at the desk and clean rooms. I will stay again when my travels take me through Wendover.

Rooms were a$$. Fridge didn’t work. Missing a light bulb in the lamp. I got a NON smoking room but the room HAD blankets from a SMOKING room. Not sure how that works 🤔 plus I’m pretty sure they have bed bugs. However. Mattress comfort was an A- would be an A+ but they had bugs. The door seal doesn’t exist so the rooms do get cold at night unless you leave you’re heater on the whole time. Customer service was good. Breakfast was good. But the overall grade of the room was a solid D-F

The Super 8 isn’t usually my choice for a hotel. This one breaks the stereotype. The clerk at check in was amazing, he was friendly and knowledgeable. My room was fabulous, new carpet and curtains. There were plenty of clean towels. The microwave and mini fridge were spotless. The bed had plenty of pillows and a comfortable mattress. There were plenty of tv channels and the usb ports worked. Definitely will stay again.

We had a dog with us (which this place allowed us to have in room) So glad we found this place! We walked dog east on nice new side walk where a new clinic will be built. Not much traffic..Room was large, clean, and quiet. Beds comfy! I am not really a big breakfast person but a bagel and juice was nice! Hubby got coffee and muffin. Plenty of other choices of food and drink to get going. Simple but nice! So if people complain not enough selection of food (which was just right) go to a restraunt. They are working on pool...just a process to update the facility...takes time and revenue. Getting there! Staff super nice!!!!!!! Close to casinos but I do not want to pay $$ for a room plus we had our pooch..Nice to walk up the road to a mexican food truck for dinner. Super yummy! Great 2 day getaway...Really worked for us! Thank you!!!Walkability: Walking dog, just heading up to casino or to purchase food.

Incredibly gross room. We stayed here two separate nights, first in 114 and next in 214. The first night was fine, the woman who checked us in was lovely, but the second night was greatly disappointing. We arrived late after a 14 hour drive and were greeted by an individual who seemed unsure of how to check us in. He insisted that I did not pay, which I had done online, and insisted that I used a booking service (that I had not used) and did not yet pay. Once figuring out that I had, in fact, paid (online, as I had done with the prior room booking), he "jokingly asked my age" after getting my ID, after already giving me key cards. As a young, female traveler, this was very off-putting. Once we got into the room, we were greeted by a disgusting microwave, brown and red stains on the carpet, and mold in the fridge. I guess you get what you pay for, but with several other motels in the Wyndover area, I would highly recommend splurging on a superior motel.

The rooms we stayed in was large, clean, warm and had comfortable beds. The TV is pretty small and situated across the room, not a huge issue for me. We checked in at 2am and the guy working the front desk reminded me of Norman Bates. Tall, quiet, creepy, barely spoke two words. Friendliness is always nice but maybe he was in a bad mood or not having a great night. Either way, my room was waiting for me and I got some much needed rest after driving all night.

Came back after a short night of gambeling and wanted to grap 2 plastic spoons to eat w the cereal we gotton. There was another customer checking in & I knew where these were located so no need to bother anyone. HOWEVER, the young fellow checking everyone in (I cld hardley understand a word he said) rudely wanted to know "WHAT DO U WANT?" so I told him always being as respectiful adult & customer. Let me just say that whatever he was not happy about it was in his mannerism, loud voice and eye rolling..... so much so that the GENTLEMAN he'd been helping looked over at me & lightly shook his head then mouthed words of encouragement to me. That I dont need to let all his craziness get to me.THANK YOU SWEET GENTLEMAN, I NEVER GOT YOUR NAME or was able to Thank You in person.Noteworthy details: This is one of the first Motels that you'll pass as u enter town. It's cheap, the rooms, plus the over-all apperance is even cheaper & is pretty scatchy after dark. So be SUPER CAREFUL and make sure u lock ur rooms & ,vechicles behind u. I would suggust to not venture outside after dark unless you r in a group or pair, just for everyones safety. Not sure if they have an ice box or where it is, if anything it"s probably in the main bld where we check-in. There's a family dollar a few min walk west of the bld and all the casinos are far to away for my walking pleasure. There is a swimming pole available during summer months & thete is no lifeguard on duty so swim at your own risk & keep a good eye on your little ones.

Stayed at the Super 8 just for one night for a quick spur of the moment gambling trip from SLC. Overall the quality of the room was good for the price especially with a pet. It felt clean in terms of house keeping.Only downside was there was a black widow in my room when I checked in. Luckily I saw it and it didnt get me or my dog.I had the person at the front desk help me kill it (great service), and they did offer me to switch rooms, but I declined because I was trying to be brave. But it definitely kept me up all night thinking there may be more spiders. EEKlong story short, they should probably spray the vents & such for spiders because I could not find a nest inside the room so I'm guessing it came from one of the various vent areas.

We are on a vacation covering 6 states. We are on number 3 so far. The first hotel we booked was in Fresno, California. What a nightmare. Vagabond don’t recommend. So Nevada booked Super 8. I would give that one a 8 had issues with lights not working and no place to plug in blow dryer other wise nice. This room was so nice. Clean, exceptional customer service. Absolutely loved it.Rooms: Our room was just beautiful. Nice view from our window. Very clean with extra amenities.Safety: I didn’t feel unsafe. No transient hanging around.Food & drinks: Continental Breakfast. Waffles, cereal etc. Very nice.

Old, lots of deferred maintenance. Pool was half empty, green, and had something floating in it that was either a dead thing or a lost stuffie. Didn't want to get close enough to tell.Front desk was efficient and friendly.Room needed a paint job, but someone tried to make it presentable. Reasonably clean, except floors but it was a pet room, so OK.Convenient stop between SLC and Reno. Easy highway access. Cheap enough.

Staff friendly & accommodating. Rooms clean. Breakfast items varied & plentiful. Coffee excellent. Price of stay attractive & would stay there again.Rooms: Two queen beds & spacious room. More than adequate for two people. Enough shampoo, body lotion for 2+ people. Quiet so could get a good rest. Beds very comfortable. Everything clean, even though an older facility.

For their website saying the rooms were updated, we were disappointed. Room was not well maintained. Non-smoking room smelled of stale smoke, obvious water damage in ceilings, unfinished patch jobs, sink clogged, dirty pillow case, little hairs everywhere, door was filthy, stains and hairs on floor, broken toilet seat hardware, cigarette burns in bedding and curtains, damage on walls, etc. The one positive is the beds were comfy. We won’t be returning to this place.

This place works fine for our needs. Nothing fancy or surprising...as usual, you get what you pay for with accomodations.👍. Their breakfast is small, but definitely adequate - equal to what you will find at any hotel that offers a free continental breakfast: pastries, fruit, juice, oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, bagels & a waffle maker, etc. Perfect for those heading to the desert for an outdoor adventure! On the other hand, if you're looking for a bathroom floor you'd be comfortable eating on & pool water you could drink...OR accommodations for an anniversary retreat, a special occasion or bells & whistles...Go elsewhere and pay more.It is much less crowded & populated than areas directly surrounding the casino chaos, sitting on the eastern edge of the Utah side. (Yet only a 2 minute drive from all the money and brain-diminishing, free-intoxicating, morning-forehead-slapping action that gambling centers offer.😜)

Not a great experience Here. Seemed like the beds were the only thing made and nothing else. Very dirty... as you can see. Not even a fresh toilet paper roll. Called the front desk for extra toilet paper and an iron. I was told that they would provide both shortly. After not hearing from them 30mins later went to the front desk where we were told that if we didn't request an iron at the time of the booking we wouldn't get one. (There was never an option to) Had friends staying at the same location-same days, rooms down whom received an iron without asking nor requesting one. Aside from that the 2nd day our room key did not open, we waited in the front desk, no one there for quite a long time. Ended up using the side door to get into our room as we had the room right next to the front desk (Shared door lock not secure). Next day asked for new towels and ended up checking out and never receiving those towels. This room However was spacious. But did not come with an iron, iron board nor hair dryer. The mini fridge in there also did not work. No attention to detail on maintenance nor cleanliness. I don't recommend for the price.

"The customer is always right." That's how it's supposed to be. With these people, their attitude seems to be, "The customer is always a nuisance that we barely put up with." My stay here was many years ago, but was such a horrible experience that I feel compelled to leave a review all this time later...especially seeing so many other more recent negative reviews indicating that they hadn't changed. When reserving, I indicated that I REQUIRED a first floor room. They didn't bother to read, let alone accommodate that request. They tried to offer me a "deluxe" first floor room at the roach motel they own next door. Not a chance I was taking that. So after a long, tiring drive from Denver, I had to deal with being put in a second floor room. I was livid and made sure they knew it. They kept telling me to look at their TripAdvisor reviews and how they were the best lodging in town. If they're the best Wendover has to offer, it'll be a hard pass on ever staying in that town again. Luckily, this was the kind of route I'm unlikely to repeat, so that shouldn't be too hard.

Was on the third floor this time and loved the view even more. Checking in was fast and easy. Breakfast was nice, I left the waffle in longer so center wasn't mushy. Weather was nice and clear. Room was clean and hotel close to shopping and restaurants some still no fine in though.

Everyone who works at the Super 8 in Wendover is very kind. Dimas is incredibly accommodating and wonderful to talk to, and the night staff are also very nice. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels all over the U.S., from the Marriott and the Hilton to the Super 8, and the people who work here are without a doubt some of the kindest and most genuine people I have met. I would definitely recommend the Super 8 if you are in Wendover!
