This message is for the Deli/Bakery, JUSTIN, and I hope the management team at Lucky's. Recently, my wife celebrated a birthday here in Tooele.Me being the good, plan ahead husband I am, decided I better get my loving wife a cake about 9 hours before she was to celebrate with all her friends at work. The only problem I ran into, as I would discover, is that the local bakeries do not make plain white cakes with Cream Cheese frosting. If you want Cream Cheese frosting, you will have to settle for a carrot or red velvet cake. I went everywhere and I asked and my answer was consistent around town" aww I'm sorry". My concern only grew thicker as I began to gather the ingredients to make this elusive cake myself when I discovered it's not that easy to find plain cake mixes. Anyway, my last stop was at Lucky's in tooele. I approached the counter and met a Pastry Chef named JUSTIN. Now Justin seemed to genuinely feel bad for me, in fact, he even started helping me gather the things I needed to make this cake on my own. Suddenly, a bell must have gone off in his head as he asked me " so you just want a plain white cake with Cream cheese floating and happy birthday (wife's name) on the top"? Yes Sir, I replied. Speaking to me with the enthusiasm of a lottery winner, Justin burst into action, ran to the walk in refrigerators where he found single layer, round white cakes. Justin asked me to give him a couple of hours and he would take make my wife's birthday cake for her. Several hours later, I returned to find a perfectly made, double layer white cake with cream cheese frosting.In summary, you may wonder why I'm writing this like a story and truth is, there is a reason for that. It just turns out that my wife is Filipina and boy do they celebrate things. That culture celebrates just about everything and almost the entire Filipina population from Tooele had a bite if Justin's cake. The very next day I was told to order another, bigger version to which Justin gladly made. All of them, every single person at that party wanted to know who made it and where they work. I know for a fact that 2 other people have gone specifically to Luckys now to order their cakes. The truth is, Justin could have said "awww, I'm sorry" like every other employee at every other Bakery did but he didn't. He was not only a good enough Luckys employee, but he was a good enough human being to help me be a better husband:) We, none of us, ever know what impact our decisions will have on others. In this case, Luckys Bakery is gonna make 100s, if not 1000s of additional $$ off of the Filipina community alone because ONE super employee/human being decided to take the hard right vice the easy wrong. Justin just so happens to be a super nice person and from my foxhole it looks like a great a Luckys employee. One act of kindness rendered a room of people happy and fat. Luckys management, please pat Justin on the back and don't be surprised if you see that bottom line $$ increase in the Bakery.

Today I bought some chicken in their deli section. It’s a party bucket, 2 lbs of chicken and 1 lb of potato wedges. The old guy gave me less than 2lbs of chicken and when I pointed it out he gave me attitude and said “it’s pretty close enough” then he did the same with the potato wedges. He could have thrown a couple more pieces of chicken and much more wedges in there so I could get what I paid for at least. With his attitude I didn’t dare to ask for anything else so I left. Customer service needs to be improved in the deli section.I left one star because usually the people who work in the deli are cool. I come here way too often. Will start going to Maceys or Walmart instead.

Much better customer service than Macey’s in Tooele. Overpriced on things like santitas tortlla chips $2.29 (they're $2 everywhere else most bags from the manufacturer even have "only $2 printed right on them) chobani yogurt, kombucha and bagged produce. Limited selection in dairy and dairy-free options. Great nashville tenders although again overpriced. Harmon’s charges less for their tenders and their stores are clean bright and have fabulous selection. Workers: helpful to find things, good to take back bad meat power 100% satisfaction guarantee. Look and feel of store: They tried to do the polished concrete look on their floors but didn’t power clean them first so they just look polished dirty and dark. The aisle signage isn’t detailed or completely accurate.

The more often I have shopped there the more disappointed I am. I love the layout of the store. I like that the aisles are wide and I like that it stays pretty quiet and calm compared to how busy Walmart gets.However, the produce section is pretty terrible. I bout 2 bags of cherries and half of the cherries were rotten or moldy and had to be thrown out. I've had multiple issues with bad produce from Lucky's and unless I see a good sale in one of their ads I just go to Walmart. So, go for a good sale but I recommend going to Walmart,for most of your shopping needs.

11/17/23. Had a sale on crab meat. Stopped by around 6:30 pm after work. Off dutyFemale staff had approximately 6 packs in her cart. Initially I thought she was shopping for a large family gathering. After she left I went to get some for my spouse and I. All that was left was larger bags. I didn’t want to spend $60 for my spouse and I. Would have been nice if the staff member had taken the larger bag instead of the 6 smaller (lower priced bags). While I understand this is not entirely lucky’s fault they could advise staff to be considerate of shoppers. And I am certain she gets a discount on top of the sale price. A little consideration goes a long way. Taking 6 $20 bags versus 2 $60 bags. And in reality they can easily be zipped locked and stored. Will be checking the luckys in west valley tomorrow. Hopefully they will have some crab meat on sale.

I like going to Lucky's. The prices are really great and the store for the most part is clean and tidy. The only complaint is they don't have baggers who bag your stuff up so you end up having to do it on your own. Everyone at the checkout seems nice though so no complaints there.

I have never felt so uncomfortable ordering chicken before at the Lucky's Deli. The person who helped me was very rude and I was trying so hard to be polite. I will probably not come back out of sheer embarrassment for how that worker made me feel.

Ordered a cake at 10:30 for a 4:00 pickup. Granted it was German Chocolate and premade. It was so fresh and super good. The frosted was awesome and so was the cake. It was very reasonablely priced compared to other bakery's and very nice people in the bakery. I will order all my cakes at Lucky's. Than you so much for Lucky's for great service and great products.

I enjoy shopping at Lucky's. Like everywhere else prices seem a little high. Need more checkers. Pharmacy people are great. Also checkers are very nice and sweet. The people in the meat department are always cheerful and nice those that are in the deli. I do like the self checkout. It would be nice to be able to call in your order and pick up.

Very clean and very organized, great prices on a lot of items. I was from out of town and the employees knew exactly where the items were I was asking for. Two ladies don't know their names one at black hair and the other brown hair. Very sweet and beautiful. :)

The workers here are always nice, really great meat, and great produce! They aren't as good at picking up the phone when i call to ask questions about their meat or bakery, and sometimes I'll go in to get things posted in their ad on sale, and they don't have the item, but I really like this place!

The workers are so awesome! I would give 5 stars but often times they are out of stock in certain items and not a lot of selection, but the prices are great and the deli and meat counters have so many fresh options. I also think the produce section is amazing. The 3 for $10 fruit bowls are always delicious and the fried chicken is so crispy.

It's sad that only a couple good cashier's are still there. The new ones are not trained at all. The lady manager is a total witch. She forgets us that pays for her wages. She makes big mistakes and doesn't take responsibility for them. She was so rude downgrading to me. So because she is still there and they don't train their cashier's, our families will make the trip to WinCo. Better prices and the employees there treat you respectful. Something that manager at Lucky's in Tooele should learn!

The floors are concrete and give it a weird warehouse vibe instead of a grocery store. I love how organized the produce area is.I absolutely hate how meat is setup it feels like a farmers market. Some of the meat doesn't look good like it's been sitting in old blood for a while.I don't like the place in general. It feels dirty and dingy.The prices are great on produce but they are about the same as any other grocery store in the area.

Luck means low prices! They have a great variety of low priced foods cheaper than Walmart. Customer service is great! Everyone that works there is happy and loves their jobs! They really care about their food, service, employees and most importantly Customers! The barker has the best Damn Cakes in town! I would give a 10 out of 10! The front manager is awesome and sweet! The Director of the store is cool and awesome just like everyone!

I am pleased with the weekly sales Lucky's has. They do a good job rotating what they have on sale. I have greatly enjoyed the variety and overall quality of the produce they offer. The fresh donuts are wonderful and you can't beat the price. But my favorite aspect of this store is the employees. I have never had anything but exceptional customer service from all the different departments in this store.

Yesterday I was with my 8yr old daughter, I was not feeling well. I have medical issues that are undiagnosed. The cashier, I should know her name, long beautiful grey hair. She had my back and I am forever grateful. I did indeed end up loosing consciousness and getting cut on my face. Luckily it was at home with my husband. Thank you for going above and beyond for me.
