My wife and I stayed at Pine Shadows for 4 nights in October 2023 and we could not have been more pleased. The place is spotless and very well maintained. And the couple that owns and runs this place are the nicest and most helpful people.Pro tips: Walk down the dead end road and head towards the red rocks on the horizon. You'll find an amazing hike just minutes from your cabin. Cabin 6 is on the end and is a bit more private with a huge side yard. The grill was all set up with charcoal when we arrived, nice! This is a perfect home base to hike the Capital Reef National Park and Dixie Forest area.

We had a pleasant stay this weekend and can’t wait to return! Upon arrival we loved how quiet and isolated the cabins were from the already rural area, while also being conveniently located near great food, the park, and trails. Cabin 3 was impeccably clean, well stocked with essentials, and quiet. We appreciated the ease of checking in and out as well. Highly recommend walking the Great Western Trail and visiting Etta Place!

We recently learned about dark sky parks and so we decided to visit Capitol Reef National Park mainly for stargazing but what we found in Teasdale and Torrey, UT was an incredibly beautiful town! Don't get me wrong the views of the night sky was stunning but beautiful landscape took our breath away. And then there was Pine Shadows Cabins... this place is a treasure, it was absolutely stunning! And only a few minutes drive from the park. Not only is the property very peaceful and private, the views of the landscape from the property are incredibly beautiful. And at night, the stargazing from right outside the cabin door is incredible. We didn't need to drive over to the park, it was that good!On to the cabins. The cabins were super clean, comfortable, and had everything you could ever need. They had such a welcoming/cozy feel as soon as you entered. I cannot say enough great things about this place. We arrived a little late but the owner, Debbie, was very kind and met us to show us the cabin. She left us her phone number in case we needed anything but we didn't need to contact her as everything was perfect.Thank you Debbie and Pine Shadows Cabin for an unforgettable stay, I am pretty sure we will be coming back!

After staying a week we were shocked to be told we weren't allowed back. We were very quiet and clean. Even spent over an hour cleaning both units before we checked out. Vacuumed, folded all sheets and blankets, wiped everything down, did dishes the works. Even though no dogs were allowed, the property owners dog came and went even let itself in our cabin and they didn't care. Owners said our cabins smelled like smoke even though we complained about the smell when we first got there and we didn't smoke! We are dream guest for any lodging and have never been so inappropriately accused of complete nonsense. Even tried explaining they may have us confused with someone else. But nope they were certain it was us. Maybe they are losing their minds who knows. Recommend proceeding with caution and documenting every day and every smell! Very rude and wouldn't be back even if they offered.

These cabins are spacious. Nice bathroom with an extra heater for colder weather, which was very nice. The amenities are great & the owners are so kind & helpful. This is a VERY special place. On the front porch of these cabins they even have a little table top bbq outside and they even have charcoal & lighter fluid & every thing there to help you get it lit. They also supply coffee & a coffee maker. For the first time in years I could actually see the milky way!!!!I cannot recommend this place highly enough!!!!!

We've been to these cabins 3 times now. The first was over 16 years ago. I believe the cabins were new at that time. I'm happy to find they are still in great shape. The cabins are in such a beautiful setting. The views as you sit on the back porch are wonderful. But being close to Capital Reef National Park is a real treat. This park is such a hidden gem among the several national parks in the area.

Our experience was terrific in our beautiful, clean, and spacious cabin. The view was wonderful with a very nice patio to view the stars. Very close to Capital Reef and the National Forest is only one mile away and offers a terrific hike. While there our car's battery needed a jump. We got back to the cabin and our hosts didn't hesitate to get in their truck and drive us back to jump our car. It was like being at home.

This little slice of heaven is the perfect get away! Weather you are staying for a night, weekend, or a month, this place is absolutely wonderful. There is one 3 star review... I’d put seven down if I could. The WiFi is slow... but isn’t that the point? To slow down, and browse the view, not your phone? And to make up for that, if it’s really an inconvenience, the cell reception is very good. The room as are spacious, clean, well equipped, comfortable, and ready for even the most needy traveler. We couldn’t have asked for more. Perfect for kiddos, lots of exploring available.

We have been staying at these cabins every year for the past 5-6 years for our family reunion. They feel like home. It’s a magical desert setting with gorgeous sunsets and breathtaking stargazing. I know that sounds cheesy but there is no other way to describe it. The owners are friendly nice people. We rent one of the 2 dog friendly cabins and every morning my dogs can’t wait to see the resident dogs come up to the porch. I highly recommend these cabins. Google the nearby petroglyphs they are worth a stop. People have carved names around them but I was interested enough to check the local cemetery for a name that caught my eye. The man that died carved his name when he was 15 and passed away when he was 18 in 1892. Also nearby is of course Utah’s best kept secret Capitol Reef. Boulder is a gorgeous drive away. We get pizza at the Red Rock restaurant in Torrey. I can’t say enough positive about this place!

Having made five or six annual uses of Pine Shadows (endorsement in itself?), we decided to introduce three sisters to the cabins for a special gathering. They were each "blown away" by what they found. Each time we arrive, the cabins' interior look near-new. The owners, Steve and Debbie, keep every cabin immaculate: The places always look new each time we arrive. We rely on their cabins for use as our "home base," allowing us to enjoy daily excursions in the exciting country they are situated in. We always find everything we need to maintain the cleanliness of the cabin, as well as adequate cooking gear for preparing meals. Debbie and Steve are synonymous with Pine Shadows Cabins: we hope they never tire of their efforts!

Exceptionally clean and quite cabins with everything we needed. The location is great and the views are spectacular. Steve and Debbie really take the time to make sure that their guests will be comfortable during their stay. A hidden gem! We will stay here again for sure if we ever return to this area.

The fantastic owners met us for our later arrival, the cabin was perfect for our family of 4. We watched the sunrise and enjoyed our coffee on the back porch! Near Capitol reef and not too far from Bryce Canyon! Friendly, clean, wish we stayed more than one night!!!!!

Excellent cabin stocked with everything you need. They provide utensils, plates, pots, pans, and even briquettes in the small grills outside your backdoor. The cabin also had a very nice A/C and heating unit. Will be booking here again.

Great place to stay when you visit Capitol Reef. Steve is a super nice host. We stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin #2. It was very comfortable and cozy.

Loved my stay, quite easy to get to, and close enough to everything that you could theoretically have your car battery die and still get it replaced. I am not saying that happened or not but it could have and I didn't have to postpone my trip to fix it.

What a excellent place to get away from the hustle a the rushing around of everyone hurrying going to one place to another in the cities and to see the stars again is priceless and No noise is the the best experience this man enjoyed about this place most of all. And the owners of this heaven on earth was WONDERFUL you couldn't ask for any better people the kindest ever.

Very clean and in a great location from the maddening crowd. The owners leave across the road do they really do care. Beds were comfortable and the morning view is unbeatable.

I didn't expect the cabin to be as nice as it was. Everything that makes a stay perfect was there. It was so quiet. I love that area and hope to go back soon.

Cute little rental property. Has kitchen and grill in the back. The WiFi is awful. Totally slow. And a local dog stole my sock off of the porch!
